Tbh I find makeup like this weird but interesting (As someone who is Wasian) . I prefer makeup that enhances ones features, but its still cool how someone can completely change the way their face looks with it lol

In Chinese the actual word for mixed race means "mixed blood" tho. 混血兒 means someone who is mixed-race. 混 means mix, 血 means blood normally but in this cause it's short for 血統 lineage. I hope the person who said that to you have no ill meaning :( @KawaiiKermit
This happens a lot, the features in people of color that are pointed out in a negative light is later on put on and taken away from that group of people. Like Kylie Jenner, a white woman, being credited as popularizing big lips and wearing wigs, when black women have been wearing wigs for honestly centuries, and have had larger lips since the birth of times 🙃🙃
as a Chinese person who use xiaohongshu everyday, I want to say they created makeup just like...showing off their skills or creat a trend to make money. I remembered there's Arab makeup, Thai makeup, makeup that makes girl to boy,harry potter themed makeup...it does not mean they want to become or mock some kind race.

try bleaching your brows! I do to soften my brow against my features :) I also use refectocil broe tint in grey and brown to tone the orange hue after bleaching

as a white person it’s lowkey flattering that Asians would wanna look like us. Like y’all have the prettiest facial structure.. all white ppl have is more color variation. so ig this trend kinda combines those two things. a lot want to look white because of colonisation and European beauty ideals being promoted everywhere. whiteness is still seen as the most beautiful which makes sense as to why they’d want to replicate it.
