    That combinatory number you got (5.5e72) is almost as big as the estimate of the number of atoms in the universe. That is crazy man, really put thinks into perspective. I really enjoyed this analysis, as always, excellent video!

    You need to also add to the Tally of moves all the unfinished strings - so the list gets even bigger 😂
    As a Zafina Main, I can tell you she has had a load of Moves & Transitions from Tekken 7 Deleted in Tekken 8.
    But like Bryan she is a Character that uses Mental Frame advantage to Mind Game whether She will finish a String or Not.
    So for a 3 hit string the opponent has to remember the frames for each hit .... AND what transition options she has from each stage of the string.
    So what is listed as just One move is in reality a lot more stuff for the Zafina player and the opponent to remember.
    For example her d2,4,3 string, listed as ONLY one move has all the below options and properties to know about not just one set of data.
    d2 [Launch on Block - Floor Break]
    CH d2 [Knock Down - Garanteed b3]
    d2,4 [Goes into MNT - Launch on Block]
    CH (d2),4 [Saftey Goes into MNT]
    d2,4D [Goes into TRT - Float iWS Launch on Block]
    CH (d2),4D [Goes into TRT - Float Launch - But with Heat TRTdf1 will power through the punish]
    d2,4,3 [Combo Laucher on last Hit - Even if the others Whiff - Minus 13 on Block - Minus 12 if the first 2 Hits Hit and only the last hit is blocked]
    CH (d2),4,3 [Combo Launcher]
    CH (d2,4),3 [Combo Launcher]

    I’m not a fighting game player, I’m a Tekken player.
    I know for many Tekken 8 can be incredibly frustrating, but the level of difficulty is what has me hooked forever. The skill ceiling is seemingly endless. The game’s presentation is beautiful. Music, sound, the character designs, movement.

    Hey The Gian, I have a suggestion. Would you be willing to do a video (or series of videos) of what are the 10 tekken moves of each character and why? I think it could be a really interesting and engaging series of videos

      @@cristhian702lv Why are you surprised when you reach the blue ranks how many people you see spamming the attack endlessly and without thinking. Usually, when you understand what they are trying to do, they don't give you a reciprocation and they take advantage of your lack of knowledge.It's obvious that it's not Yoshi or King, but many people take this character just to push buttons. They don't give a damn about Tier List because they have no intention of becoming professionals 😂 Although for me every character can be spammed into blue or orange ranks in this game. Some characters even further. 🤷At least it's not a jin that went from being a complicated character to being this thing🤤The most important thing is that my character is weak and the rest of the OP is the most important thing in Tekken 😂

      @@damiankubiak818 I think this game in general has conditioned these players to throw defense out the window. Sometimes I keep throwing out the same move over and over to see if they can adapt and they just keep mashing away. No fundamentals at all. This mentality leads to them complaining about rang. You don’t even need to know much about rang as long as you have solid fundamentals you can neutralize him. Rang doesn’t have any of the cheap shit mechanics 😢

    Tekken is impossible to master, but it's incredible at how you can learn the first 70 percent of knowledge just from standard play. The next 20 percent requires dedication and research. The rest is obtained through hundreds of hours of meaningful practice, and even then you can't learn everything.
    Legacy knowledge and hidden information is a problem, but I find that if you are serious about tekken, and watch good guides, you'll see it mentioned.
    But for most people, learning your 13f, 14f punishes, and the enemies -14f moves will be enough to get you out of any plateau. If you know how to consistently do 5-8 percent of their health off of every interaction, combined with one meaningful punishment, this is "good enough " play to get you out of blue ranks.
    While there are a million moves and each move has different properties, I found that I won significantly more when I reduced my thinking to the simplest form in order to avoid hesitation.
    Just my ramblings

    Thats just raw numbers on skills but that doesnt make up for the real difficulty of tekken such as changes over each new series introducing new systems, or how the spacing/kbd changed, what moves are actually useful for your character, frame data, knowledge checks based on useful or obscure moves, character usage, advance mental frames, fucking mind games, mental damage to opponent ,etc. I think you should have cover those points and this video would have being even better but thanks talking about tekken .

    Character knowledge is king on Tekken. I was great from T2 to T5. I didn't play TTT2, T6, or T7 too much... so T8 has been a bit of a reset for me. I've managed to Tekken God with Steve, tho

      @@abirnejiVF is more deep in its yomi but wayyy less dependent on its character bullshit. You can play VF At a pure systems level with only the basic understanding of match ups and still do pretty decent and actually be playing real virtua fighter as a lot of the best and most used attacks are universal like 6p, 2p, 5p and throws.

    Thats not even counting the moves that are a combination, like kazuyas 112 could technically counted as 3 seperate moves

    • @Hollowed2wiz
      @Hollowed2wiz Месяц назад

      So true. The fact that you can start a string but stop it at any point before the end of it, then start the same string again or a new string and do the same thing again...
      It increase exponentially the amount of moves you can do, it's insane !
      And this is just the complexity introduced by the movelist. Add it the complexity of 3d movement, the complexity of timing and various mind games and mental stack and yeah, Tekken 8 is almost impossible to master.

    agree. greetings gian, i have also recently joined... the..content makers. i have also heard statements from literally 2D-pro players. that they are not touching tekken, because it is .. too much, too much knowledge too even play MOST matchups correctly and not get Know-Checked. i ... maybe i should try to find the tweets again, it was years ago. literally 2D evo top 8 players, said that about tekken. (GOOD VIDEO) thank you.

      I agree with them. In order for someone to get better at a matchup u gotta play 1000 times vs that character. Ranked alone is not enough. Player matches are where you can get better. But no1 wants to play, i got a friend saying he will teach me the Hwoarang matchup. Hit him up a few times, never replied to me.

  • @Shodan130
    @Shodan130 Месяц назад

    What makes tekken hard isn’t so much that it’s deep, it’s just that there is so much shit you gotta lab first, realistically your first 1000 hours are just grinding match up gimmicks as until you learn those. You are not playing tekken. You are doing homework. It’s also why literally until tekken god or so… everyone sucks. Because they aren’t playing tekken. They are playing “can you deal with my characters bullshit”. I remember in emperor in T7 about half the players had no idea how to play tekken. They rinsed their gimmicks and crumbled when you actually knew the match up.
    And when you do learn all that… you have a game that’s turbo volitile and kinda random. Because of the insane advantage than can be accumulated from just making them block. Movement and KBD used to be the equalizer in all of this .. but movement sucksssss in nu tekken.
    Compared to a game like virtua fighter where you are playing the opponent and not the character. A game where EVERYTHING has many ways of beating it not just one and static rules surrounding evasion and how advantage is usually obtained. VF you can get to a point where you are playing real virtua fighter 10x quicker. But the game at that point has 10x the depth due to its systems

    First time tekken player. I love the 50/50. Some times it's a pain in the ass but it's fun. Tekken 7 looked trash in comparison. This game is a proper game except for the in balances of options for every character.

    I’d invite you to watch the main man swe video analysis of why T8 is not a 50/50 game. It’s nonsense to say that and the only reason we as a community have to suffer such a falsehood is because when Arslan Ash looses he lashes out at the game in a negative way and then the community has to suffer is powerful voice. Arslan is the T7 goat, but he doesn’t understand the competition in T8 is even greater than what T7 had.

    • @TheGianGame
      @TheGianGame  Месяц назад

      I don't think the community just echoes what Arslan says, and I think that often the 50/50 feels unavoidable and too much in this game!
