    playing against Jin is like playing against Ryu in Street Fighter; you just need to know your fundamentals and apply them correctly; he doesn't require any weird obscure techniques to defend against or to punish him, like a lot of other characters.

    Mostly agree. Some characters I know the match up and cant do anything about it. Dragunov, Alyssa, King even with S+ Throw Escape, Xiaoyu in heat. 42:17 I'd put Nina down. Don't run into any good ones. Just string spammers who rely on knowledge check. Id trade Nina with Jin. Id trade Xiaoyu and Lili with Law and Leroy. Lee with Steve. Reina I'll put as top tier. She's a POS. As bad as King. Probably put Feng Wei in "I hate my life." As far as good guys go, only Bryan and the Bears are honest. Whatever they throw has a weakness. ScrubCheapCheatSu is brain rot. Kazuya is cheap AF. Id put him in "I hate my life." I know the match up. Theres nothing you can do but take it. Same with Devil Cheat. But yeah, mostly agree.

    Btw Paul's heat smash is one of the lowest damage in the game. If you want to talk about OP heat smash, how could you say Paul's is better than King or Jack? Legitimately confused.

    • @TheGianGame
      @TheGianGame 4 часа назад

      Paul's heat smash is an unseeable low that wall splats and is -12 on block. I mentioned very clearly in the video how I think Jack's heat smash is arguably the strongest in the game. Regarding Yoshi, I am very aware that my OPINION is very PERSONAL and different from most of the people. Knowing that I have tried to elaborate that in detail, you should check that bit.

I like to play different characters since my main isn’t in the game, and can't cause im constantly getting destroyed by damn near blue rank levels. I use to have the learning mindset but now after I get slaughtered so many times i just find the game unfun. This is because i played Reina,Azucena,Alisa,and hworang in ranked just to see how well i do before tp mm, now i can barely play anyone new without being destroyed. I don't care about the rank points. I care that it has affected my Quickmatchs as well

    Hey I think I figured out how to avoid and escape prowess hell. So when you pick up a new character, when you go in ranked initially your prowess will spike after a couple ranks, then it actually goes down once you get near your mains rank. So what happens to people is they get a few ranks, then maybe hang out in quick match then drop the character or move onto someone else new which will mess it up more. You can avoid this by fully committing to your Alts and getting them up to your mains ranks. I play 6 characters and my prowess is now about what it would be with only one main, maybe 5k higher. Basically only go in ranked if you plan on committing. Try them out in quick match for a long time first to see if you like them You’ll still match your mains prowess on an alt, but this will help anyone whose prowess is way higher than their main rank should be. Like I’ve seen battle ruler mains with well over 200k and that’s why

      A solid point but yet very hard to grasp for a lot of people, it has been a min issue for me in the past so I know how hard is to change your mindset. Nice Channel 👍👍 I want to make 2 quick points. Point 1: I don't know if there was an update to the point system, but about 5 days ago. I was Fujin & played a Bushin. I lost that match, which was like my 2nd loss in a row & lost 1100 points. I know that sounds odd, but it happened. Then, as a Fujin, I beat a Kishin 3-0 & two rounds were perfects. I only got like 200 points 🤷🏾, how is that fair? Point 2: Is it really worth it to rematch after a win or just take the 1 & done win? Normally, I take the 1 & done win bcuz in most cases, if I lose the rematch, my opponent leaves & doesn't fight the 3rd match. Also, I don't like taking the risk of winning points, then losing those points back to the same opponent. Basically, risking not gaining any points progress.

    • @TheGianGame
      @TheGianGame 2 дня назад

      Point 1: the streaks don't reset so if you win twice against the same rank then you lose against someone +3 ranks than you, you will still be one win away from your win streak. Point 2: rematches are good to develop knowledge and adaptability, and will help you to fight for getting better in general rather than the point itself. Anyway I'm glad you liked my content, thank you!!!❤

    I find it very stupid that the lowest spread of opponents you can choose is [+ or - 2 ranks] but the streak only counts those that are [+ or - 1 rank]. This means that there really isnt any reason to rematch anyone thats 2 ranks from you, since you can just go work on your streak instead. I think they should lower the min opponent spread to + - 1 rank, so you can always play for streaks.

    I also think the points you gain/lose should be adjusted by the difference in prowess. I am Flame Ruler rank. Last night I was matched against an orange rank Jin who had much higher tekken prowess than me. So obviously he is a very experienced player ranking up a new character. And he is cooking me, I think I maybe won 1 game. But because he is only orange rank I only get 100 points for beating him. I am FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE here against this orange Jin for only 100 points. It doesn't feel right. I feel like I deserve more points because this high-prowess orange Jin was harder to beat than most Purple rank players.

    People is running wild in the comments with all their opinions, i think it is true, the lost streak can be too much, but i dont think it works bad that way. Actually, is great to make real good players stand in the top, its not hard to win matchs with certains chars; not those u mention, as u said that chars can knowledge check, thats a problem easily solved labbing, im more worried about chars that can constantly force u into a - situation and then spam mixup of launcher/knock down/throw or those who have have safe or even plus PC. Anyway, as i was saying, its not hard to win matchs with certains chars but it requires skill to keep the win streak and i also think thats what better tells who the real good players are. Thats the reason most string spammers r stuck in blue, they know some tricks to win matches but they dont know to actually play. On the other hand, you get good when u start to see through that and defense and punish rigth, after that it shouldnt be an issue to keep the win streak until what ever rank u obtain. Every GoD that exist is prove of this, it may be hard, but it is what it is, and its not imposible. If you are not getting it, its because you are not doing something they do, they have the same system. Im tekken king at the moment i got here with that same winstreak system, even when i stopped a long time at blue because is really anoying to lose a match against some1 that doesnt know what he is doing, that just spams strong atacks, and i mean, i stopped, i didnt got stuck... i went to quick matchs just to breathe and to not kill some1 🤣When i got over my despise for this players, and started to play better against them, i came back to ranked and got tekken king, i dont know what to do now, ill probably continue since ive also beaten halfs of the GoD ive found, and i really want to see if this op moves survival test is ending at some point, since the GoDs ive found didnt play that way.

    The unfair potential to lose a lot of points against someone way higher than you already exists in tekken 8 and also in tekken 7 in the ruler/red ranks. I cant remember precisely how much you lost against someone in god ranks playing against you in ruler/red ranks in tekken 8, but I remember it was was around 1/4 of what it normally would be against someone who is truly same ranks as yours. In tekken 7 I remember it precisely, lose -175 points but you could win 1700, whether as to lose -1700 or win 1700 against someone same level. After ruler ranks this decrease in ranks points against someone far higher did not exist in Tekken 7 nor in tekken 8. Do you therefore want this decrease of points lost against someone way higher than you to even exist on the top half of the ranking system?

    If anyone has played a modern competetive ladder in another game, the system works the exact same, youll reach a certain rank where losing removes more than winning gains, you have to maintain a 55% winrate to steadily climb over a long period of time, once you have hit 50% youre basically at your plateau. And you need to improve to step above. Its a very normal competetive system shared in games like LoL, CoD etc. Its a giant "Git gud" system, play 5-10 games a day over a week and tally your wins and losses and calculate your weekly winrate, if it isnt above 60% consider yourself at a plateau and consider replay reviewing, practice drills etc to try inch it above. This system exposes your skill level as a player. Its very good.

    • @Ashrahan
      @Ashrahan 4 дня назад

      And to add, the higher you go the smaller the pool of eligible players decreases significantly, so for queue time brevity you can get very blended opponents, in team competetive games, you could be a platinum and get put into a match with a diamond on the enemy team and a gold player on your team. If you're any queueing, where you can run into someone who is 5+ ranks above you. You shouldn't be any queueing to begin with. And if you get slammed, you're just not good enough yet, besides latency issues, all factors in your loss are well within your control, was your movement bad? Did you punish optimally? Did you get CH alot? Trade Rank points for experience and skill and it will add up and you'll achieve the rank you deserve

    • @woolfie8766
      @woolfie8766 3 дня назад

      The issue is that other games use actual ELO/MMR systems and variable point gains, whereas Tekken does not. High prowess accounts have to win harder games in the same rank than low prowess accounts for the same point gains or loss, often vs higher ranked players too. Other games tend to give more points for winning vs higher ranked opponents and less for beating lower ones, and vice versa with losses. Doing so pushes you up or down until you hit your true rank. Without that, you can have a 50% winrate vs someone 4-5 ranks higher than you, but gain 0 rank, and even lose some rank. Which makes no sense, because if you're 50% wr vs people 5 ranks higher, you should be that rank. But since prowess isn't an ELO/MMR system like those other games, you can be stuck vsing higher ranked accounts like that, gaining nothing extra for it compared to the same ranked, lower prowess accounts that don't vs higher ranked players but gain the same points for beating equal ranked players And the game even marching you vs 5 ranks higher or lower is an issue with the matchmaking. I have days where i can't find a match on my main in bushin unless I open the ranks, and then it gives me either god emperor or BR/fujin. And if I jump on my fujin alt, I instantly hit matched vs TK and Bushin 2 minutes later, after queuing on my main for 15-20 minutes. It makes no sense

    • @derriendoffenheim8661
      @derriendoffenheim8661 3 дня назад

      @@Ashrahan So ranks are basically nothing, instead of reflecting on your skill level as a player. When you play a competitive mode (like ranked), you want points to have a meaning. The second you open the system to fuckery like one-and-done when playing a cheesy character, or plugging not being punished, the system loses all credibility and by definition can't be called good or functional for that matter. The system breaks down when you combine the above with streaks, meaning you're incentivized to never complete a set unless you're 100% certain you will win, so you can reduce the chances of a loss streak while increasing the chance of retaining a win streak. It has nothing to do with skill at this point, and everything to do with luck, which is something you want to reduce as much as possible from a competitive mode. Now, talking about skill and learning, nobody learns by getting demolished. How do you asses that your movement is bad? How do you know if you punish optimally? Do you have all the knowledge about every character in the game? Is there even consensus on what good movement is? You can practice the game to no end, and you will never be perfect in any of those, and due to the random nature of this system, factors outside of player skill affect ranks significantly more than they should.

      @derriendoffenheim8661 Eh, I only disagree on the last part, really. If you are willing to put in the time, perfection can almost be achieved. @@dannyfenton9335 I do understand that, but it is nearly impossible for the average player, and shouldn't be an excuse for a deeply flawed ranked system. I want to improve, and I do over time, I can see it, but I can't see myself progressing in ranks, which is the opposite of what you would expect, especially considering I'm stuck in Tekken King for the past month or so. Just an hour ago, I played 4 sets: 3 One-and-dones, against cheesy Wi-Fi warriors (2W, 1L) 1 Tekken God lily that plugged as soon as I launched her in the final round, a hit away from winning In the end, I'm -300 pts or so, because my loss was agaisnt another Tekken God, while my wins were against blue ranks (don't remember exactly which, probably Kishin)

    I only play quick match now, It’s much better, less toxic and people actually give rematch’s, Which helps me learn, Rank is just for ego,

      Well as Quick match is also based mostly on your prowess I think it’s more interesting to go to ranked and to stop at a moment you’ve seen you are at your plateau. For exemple i stoped rank at bushin because i know I have to spend hours in lab and in quick match to be effective in gold rank in one or two month. But if stayed to Quick match when I was fujin or in purple rank I Will match every Time people with a lower level and learn less after all

      @@hands-ongaming7180mmm I'll have to test this, because I could not pick characters for fun mashing, as I would get paired with Tekken kings onwards with my red ranks. I'll let you know!

    They need to remove demotion and lossing points out of the game, experience and match up knowledge should be the way everyone ranks up and give points to the person who stays when the opponets rage quit they also need to remove tracking from moves that don't use the green light effect so we can actually move and defend more effectively 💯

      This unfortunately would only create inflation in the system.
