As a Trad-Catholic I can say that those aren't idols man, we venerate the Saints the Apostles and the Virgin Marry as a sign of honoring and respect, an idol is how you treat a statue like a god like what did those Jews making the golden calf, and saying them as idols is saying they're aren't real.

This is what happens when a church teaches its followers to worship idols. It’s very sad to see people trampling others hoping to touch a statue in order to be blessed when all they need to do is kneel by their bed and talk to the Living God through Jesus His Son.
