It’s been quite the journey. Been trying to find one I like and have come up short. I purchased one and wasn’t happy with it, so I’ve been searching for another ever since. Anything I find is $1k+ and seems a bit excessive for something that’s going to get beat up.
Hey man! After watching your videos I decided to give DA prepping and csl/exo a go on my F80! I finished last week as I didn’t expect the amount of time that would have to go into it! My question is! Gtechniq states on their site that exo should go on top immediately and no later than 24 hours… I’ve missed that window now, would it be a waste or cause any issues if I tried applying exo v5 still? Cheers!
@@Scoobyfreak86 makes sense! I’ll give it a go, what’s the worst that can happen! Thanks man. Keep the videos coming. I’ve only discovered you and I’m watching them all!
What do you think about PPF ,$$$$ Just like a $1000 phone with a $10 phone case (Reasonable price) Why is PPF so expensive? Is it worth it? I hope you can make a video about ppf
It’s nice to have if a previous owner did it (done well), but personally, I’d skip the expense if I were to do it myself. Some areas I can see it being helpful, but I’m a paint guy. I’d rather feel and see the paint than spend the $$$$ to get it done.
Looks great. I did my STI with the csl/exo v4 (using your videos as guidance) almost 3 years ago. Fixed my biggest complaint with the car. The stuff is a game changer. Thanks for the vids!
Only wiped down with ipa after polishing. No wipe down during ceramic since the coating cannot get wet. I change towels every 2-3 panels (depending on size of panel).
@@Scoobyfreak86 appreciate it. I guess dust isn't a huge issue if you're doing the coatings within a day of each other. The towels can't be used again after ceramic coats right?
@stephenculcasi I kept the garage door closed as much as possible during it. If there were any dust, a leaf blower helps remove any dusting quickly and safely. I throw my microfibers out after I coat. The coating is basically a thin layer of glass. When it dries, it becomes hard and gunks up the fibers of the towel. Thankfully, the towels I use for coating are cheap so it’s reasonable to replace.
Nice 👍 ❤🎉 big up urself scooby love the way the take care of ur cars them man u show them some real love 😍 man 💯👍🔥🔥
Another great vid! What would you say have been your favorite benefits from your experience with ceramic coating?
The simplicity of maintaining the paint and keeping it looking good at all times. Can much longer between washes.
How is your countertop coming along?

It takes a lot of time for sure. It wouldn’t be a waste, but it won’t hold up as long as it would normally.

@@Scoobyfreak86 after 1 or 2 week ceramic coating , foaming and power wash the car it’s okay ? Ceramic coating still sticking good ?
Yes wait at least 7 days after coating to wash. Ceramic latest around 3-5 years depending on how well you maintain it.
Only 1 coat of EXO V5….2 for 4.
Haha I’ve realized this now after a few people reached out.

F80 looking gorgeous 🔥
Thanks my guy!
The car is looking amazing, Nice work my friend.
Thank you! Very happy with the end result.
Love the mineral grey color, one of the nicest f80’s I’ve ever seen.
Thank you and I agree! Very underrated color, but easily one of my favorites. Especially when properly cared for!
@@Scoobyfreak86 exactly, it’s nice to know and see one getting the love it deserves and not abused.
Did you use anything in-between coats to get off any dust or anything or is that not a big worry? Also, how often did you replace towels?
