Nice to see you getting stuck into Docter Who, for some of us it started way back in the mid 1970's with Tom Baker. This season starts off on the BBC on the 11th with the first two episodes so i am very interested and excited to see how this season develops week by week. Welcome aboard Tessa.

She was not fired after this season. That was a rumor. Look at the news. They've officially announced that she's on for season two along with a new companion.

It is its own thing in so far as Disney wanting a fresh new starting point for new viewers, however, everything that came before is unchanged, as evidenced by how the Doctor and Ruby are still referencing things to do with the Timeless Child and Flux, so don't worry about that, nothing has changed at all. Most people are still even calling it S14

there is now 2 main eras of Doctor Who
Classic Who 1st to 8th Doctor - 1963 to 1996
Modern Who 9th to 15th Doctor 2005 - Current
Both eras are cannon to each other
What they are doing with the current doctor is they are treating it as a brand new one era so new viewers who don't know the history can still understand everything going on like they did in 2005 when they revived the show now that Disney is involved in bringing it to a wider audience that's why it feels like a brand new show
Doctor who is now 60 years old thats why they did 3 anniversary specials last year as well which are on Disney+ the last special featured the regeneration into the current doctor
If you want to catch up on anything start with modern who the 9th doctor which is Christopher Eccleston and watch from there

This show is absolute trash! Showrunners and actors insulting the long-running fans of the series for not liking it.... Anyone that thinks this show is still good and there's nothing going on needs their head examined. Well Mamas Geeky, not that you're going to care but welcome to the 'do not recommend channel' list. If you were a true geek you would hate everything they've done to this show.
The show is absolutely shite, the need to be woke seems more important than the need for quality now
