It was just under a pound less than my all time personal best. I've been fishing the better part of my 75 years but its only in the last 4 or 5 that I began seriously studying the art. I barely have any time to do anything else! But I do love old cars and love the show! Thanks Salon for keeping this going!
I was in Prague, Czech Republic and saw a Tatra, which is a full-size car with a rear-engine air-cooled motor. The owner didn't speak English and I don't speak Czech, so I don't know the year, but I'd say late 1940s. I like the 1950 Studebaker but you outdid yourself with this video - lots of great cars! "32"
I appreciate your efforts. I saw a 1926 Essex as a teenager back in the 1960’s. It was the car my dad learned to drive on back on a neighbors farm. Never seen one since. “32”
I saw a '60's Studebaker Avanti. Never had seen that particular car. Don't know the exact year. Somebody was grocery shopping with it. Beautiful. That 32 "32" Hot Wheels is cool.
My favorite was #10, because it was very surprising and vintage, to see the sticker on the back window, Kennedy for President, now know that is very rear to find that 😊
I saw a 1978 Corvette 4X4 in 1985 in Santa Cruz California When I was stationed at the nearby army base Fort Ord. Never seen one again in person, but have on the www...edit....32 😂
Solon: I too had the pleasure of seeing a Tucker automobile at our Milwaukee Car Show and never seen one since. My favorite car in this episode was the Chrysler 300.
The ad for the 300 convertible is wrong -- that's a '64 model, not a '63. Production total for the '64 300 convertible was 2026. Plus, the engine isn't a 318, which wasn't original in any Chrysler model that year (it was the base V8 in some Dodge and Plymouth models); the 300 had a base 383 2-bbl. Options included the 383 4-bbl, and the 413 4-bbl. Note that the distributor is on the passenger side near the front of the engine, where all Mopar big blocks had it. On the 318, it was in the middle of the engine near the firewall. The seller is undervaluing the car, so it's worth buying anyway, but if he's been maintaining it like a 318, it might need some adjustments.
I saw the Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile just a couple months ago in Worth, Illinois. It was smaller than I imagined it to be. In the early 1990s the place that I worked for suppposedly had the opportunity to have it for the weekend. I didn't find out about it until the weekend had passed and I was upset because I would gladly have driven it all weekend, do some burnouts for pictures, maybe even taken it to the drags😆 Who knows, maybe gotten into the Guinness book! I know that it had been replaced with newer and updated examples through the years, so the one from the 1990s probably wasn't the same one that I saw recently.
They are all over out here in the SouthWest. In fact one of the young 20 somethings I work with bought one a couple months ago and is redoing it as she drives it.
I have a good Hornet story. In the 1980s I went to the drags (Great Lakes Dragaway-Union Grove, Wisconsin) with my buddy to run his 340 Duster. It was mildly modified with stuff from the period and ran about 13.50s. There was a young guy there that had just bought an old Hornet 3 spd stick and I'm pretty sure it had a 304 engine. It was running in the 12s!
The rarest car I've physically seen is 1965 Shelby Cobra Super Snake. Living in Phoenix, I have the ability to go look at the cars that are up for auction at Barrett-Jackson. I went the year that it sold for $6,000,000,
32 , I was liking the black corsair convertible and the Chrysler 300 .

1927 Overland touring convertible sedan, never seen another one 😊
My favorite was #10, because it was very surprising and vintage, to see the sticker on the back window, Kennedy for President, now know that is very rear to find that 😊
2 car shows ago I saw a Messerschmitt KR 200. Only time I've ever seen one. 32
I have never seen one!
“32” The Studebaker is awesome!!
I saw a 1978 Corvette 4X4 in 1985 in Santa Cruz California When I was stationed at the nearby army base Fort Ord. Never seen one again in person, but have on the www...edit....32 😂

Great info John! I appreciate that insight!
That's correct, all small block Mopar had a rear mount distributor. .
Best two, it's a toss up, the corsair and the M.G.
It was a 60s something Studebaker Avanta.
"32"
Kind of like the Terrapplane, and based off your close proximity to Anniston, I’m not too far from there either.
Nice Maybe I'll see you at some of the cruise ins!
People don't have any extra money, thats why . The toys must go . People need money !
Love the cars thank you 32

I owned a 67 mustang convertible with air conditioning and electric windows. I’ve never seen another one, sure wish I’d kept that one.
Come to think of that, I haven't ever seen one like that one!
I flew up to Edmonton Alberta to check out a 1940 Phantom Rolls Royce that the owner was selling for $ 24,000 and I've never seen one since then.
Wow! Nice car!
If that is in Canadian dollars then exchange rate would make that an excellent price for any one from the States
gawd that 66 corvair was gorgeous.....
32/ and I've only seen 1 Tucker myself.
32
The black Corvair is Sweet!!!
The only vehicle I have seen once and never again was the Oscar Meyer Wiener Mobile.
Me too!
