I had one drainage issue similar to that, and when I finally dislodged the blockage it erupted in my face before draining away. Some went up my nose. I could smell it for about a week afterwards. But like you, I got the job done! Great work.
It’s honestly the worst. I need therapy to get over the smell 😂
Quick question: do you ever check the drainage or ask the customer about the drainage issues before starting the cleaning so as to mitigate getting all muddied up?
I do watch a lot of cleaning videos and that looks like a theme, finding out after the fact that there’s no drainage or clogged up.

Looking at the patio, my mental voice was going, "This looks like India Sandstone..." in a doubtful voice. As soon as you started cleaning with the turbo, the walkways beautiful coloration's showed right up. 3:02, we have some Grime Line factors already, the cleaned area behind and the rest to go. The brick wall topper really made that area shine, as it went from Black to Gold. (I don't understand technology well, but if you run into a job like the one you "missed", perhaps Before and After stills can go into a short video or something. We would all enjoy seeing the results, even if it wasn't possible to video the whole.) The patio sandstone here is showing lovely colors. At 10:34 we have another Grime Line, the initial contrast of cleaned and "not yet" is pretty extreme. Laughed, you want us to write about Smelly Water or Clog? Have faith that you will get through the smelly water phase and complete some good rounds with hypo. The color and Black Spot removal results after hypo were so much improved. That definitely renewed those areas. Is the turbo of any use in helping to unclog things? Would checking and clearing the drain before you started have been of any help? (Blog indicates a turbo can help and you did try that. Also that you had an incorrect report that the drainage worked well.)
Great commment as always Robert. Usually the turbo can unblock a drain but in this case I think it was either blocked off or blocked much further down as it really wasn’t clearing. The water did drain though eventually which was lucky!

Nice job. How many applications of SH did you have to apply to get up those black marks? Did you have to scrub them out or did you just use the power washer to eliminate them after applying the solution?
Just the chemical mate no agitation or additional power washing. There was one blanket application and then then 4/5 spot applications of neat chemical
That must have been very 'smelly'. That came up very well. There does seem a lot of drainage issues on pressure washing jobs, would a cheap drain jet hose not be worth investing in or isn't it that easy? I've used one on my elec Nilfisk pw and it successfully unblocked a loo u bend! Just ordered a budget petrol PW, so looking forward to giving it a go myself. Cheers.
I usually have drain rods on the van but for some reason i took them off. Most drains can be unblocked with a blast of the turbo but in this case, no cricket. It probably would be a good idea to get one but it’s just more gear to carry you know. The list is never ending!
@@KirbsideCleaning I know what you mean about a never ending list! If I get a decent amount of pressure washing work I will have to get a trailer as only have a Partner van with a 400lts tank and electric reel so not much space for PW kit.

@@KirbsideCleaning WOW 4 in 3 years. I've had this one for 2.5 years but it's kitted out for my main job - window cleaning. Added gutter vac and now PW so getting a little cramped to say least ;-)
