Great list, Dave! I definitely agree with number 1! I’ll read anything Hickman. Secret Wars 2015 definitely spoiled me as a reader!

As far as I'm concerned, Hickman's never written a bad comic. That run is legendary.

I will never understand how you have only 21k, I have been following your reading order from marvel from a while now, I started at marvel knights and I'm currently at the end of dark reign. It's amazing to explore this wonderful universe and its hidden and lesser-known stories. Great video

I knew as soon as this started that the Hickman saga was gonna be #1, cuz it truely is the GOAT. I've read a lot of your list as well, but I have some blind spots. I'll have to fix that

I happen to have 16 Comic volumes of Ultimate Spider-Man. The only volumes I need are Vol 2, Vol 6, Vol 11, Vol 16, Vol 21, and Vol 22.
So far, I have an obsession with reading all of Marvel Comics:
Amazing Spider-Man: (Kraven's Last Hunt, Clone Saga, Death of the Stacys, Grim Hunt, The Other)
Captain America: Winter Soldier(Ed Brubaker), Dimension Z,
    Wolverine: Weapon X,
X-Men: (Dark Phoenix, Fall of the Mutants, Days of Future Past, God loves, Man Kills, Age of Apocalypse, X-Factor, X-Force, Deadly Geneis, Messiah Complex, Curse of the Mutants, Phoenix resurrection, Schism, Krakoa saga),
Fantastic Four: (Stan lee and Jack Kirby, Jonathan Hickman),
Incredible Hulk: Peter David, Bruce Jones, Greg Pak, Al Ewing
DareDevil: The Man without Fear, Guardian Devil, and Born Again.
Avengers/New Avengers: Brian Michael Bendis, Jonathan Hickman.
Jonathan Hickman: Secret Wars, Secret Warriors, Infinity, Time Runs out,
Honorable Mentions that I need to read: Secret Invasion, House of M, Future Imperfect, War of Kings, Civil War, Siege, Original Sin, Fear Itself, Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest, Spider-Verse, Empyre, War of the realms, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Crusade, Avengers vs X-Men.

I'm also primarly a DC reader, but Thor the God butcher saga is one of the best marvel comics ever in my opoioin. Same with X-men days of future past, Amazing Spider-man by J. M.S, planet hulk and immortal hulk just to name a few.

Frank Miller and Klaus Jensen's original Daredevil run (1979-1983) is the best of all the 1980s comics but a close 2nd (to me) for Marvel is The Thing by John Byrne and Ron Wilson.

Your number 1 is bang on. I was hoping to see how the X-Men would fit into all of this as you could see some threads from the past being knotted in. Marvel failed us all so bad not letting him get on with his work and instead jumping the shark...

People forget the tragic realism of Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme came out before The Watchmen back in the 80s. It was groundbreaking and I remember reading it as a 5th grader when it was released and being blown away and treasuring it. Even in fifth grade I knew it would change everything. Sadly forgotten masterpiece robbed of its revolutionary status by The Watchmen coming out a month or so later.
Read it if you get a chance. It holds up as well as anything from the decade

Some goodies on this list, and some I haven't read yet. Some that I feel worth of consideration. Avengers 4-15. Early Captain America at his best, highlighted by his return, and his battles with Zemo. Check out Captain America's speech as he was fighting Zemo in issue 6, page 20. Any other comic character giving those words would have come across as corny. Anyone besides Lee and Kirby couldn't have brought it off. But it was magic. t made me think, Yeah, this is what a hero should be.I would also recommend an 11 page story in the back of Amazing Spider-Man 248. The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man." A story doesn't have to be a multi issue saga, or have the hero battling super villains to be great. Just a story about Spider-Man talking to his biggest fan. It's also Spider-Man at his very best.

Omg I was just about to write that, HoX/PoX is the most insane, innovative and straight up oustanding shake up of the status quo for any modern day comicbook ever made, it really is a testament of Hickmans talent when it comes to worldbuilding and fixing the X-men convoluted canon without erasing decades of previous work by many many different writers, not only is it a fantastic read but what it means and what it stands for in the X-men mythos is unmatched

I love Hickman's Avengers but there's no way that's the greatest story of all time in Marvel Comics history it was too convoluted and you basically if you didn't read all of the books you wouldn't have understood what was going on there's no way that's even in the top 10 it's probably top 15 but not top 10 let alone number one I mean Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis is a better Marvel comic than that what about Secret Wars you didn't even have that on the list the first Secret Wars that's a better comic book than Hickman's Avengers

How could Ultimate Spider-Man be number 100 it's the best Spider-Man story of the last 30 or 40 years literally it should be in the top five of Marvel stories because DC generally gets the better stories than Marvel but Ultimate Spider-Man is actually one of the best Spider-Man Stories the entire Run 1 through 160 you have to read it as an entire run because it's all one continuous story you got to read it like that and if you do there's no way it's number 100 it's got to be in the top five Marvel always focused more on Art than they did stories that's why DC has the better stories but that is a great story and I don't even like Bendis I think he's a horrible writer now he destroyed DC Comics when they bring him over there but during that story he was good
