About Comic Book Herald:
My name's Dave, and Comic Book Herald is a labor of love designed to help new, lapsed, and curious comic book readers explore and enjoy the wonderful world of comics. I've been developing reading orders, chronology guides, and detailed comics recommendations since late 2011. Comics can be confusing and intimidating; I try to help. - Развлечения
5:16 X-Statix made the list! Yes!
Wow! Dave made a video!
I happen to have 16 Comic volumes of Ultimate Spider-Man. The only volumes I need are Vol 2, Vol 6, Vol 11, Vol 16, Vol 21, and Vol 22.
So far, I have an obsession with reading all of Marvel Comics:
Amazing Spider-Man: (Kraven's Last Hunt, Clone Saga, Death of the Stacys, Grim Hunt, The Other)
Captain America: Winter Soldier(Ed Brubaker), Dimension Z,
Wolverine: Weapon X,
X-Men: (Dark Phoenix, Fall of the Mutants, Days of Future Past, God loves, Man Kills, Age of Apocalypse, X-Factor, X-Force, Deadly Geneis, Messiah Complex, Curse of the Mutants, Phoenix resurrection, Schism, Krakoa saga),
Fantastic Four: (Stan lee and Jack Kirby, Jonathan Hickman),
Incredible Hulk: Peter David, Bruce Jones, Greg Pak, Al Ewing
DareDevil: The Man without Fear, Guardian Devil, and Born Again.
Avengers/New Avengers: Brian Michael Bendis, Jonathan Hickman.
Jonathan Hickman: Secret Wars, Secret Warriors, Infinity, Time Runs out,
Honorable Mentions that I need to read: Secret Invasion, House of M, Future Imperfect, War of Kings, Civil War, Siege, Original Sin, Fear Itself, Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest, Spider-Verse, Empyre, War of the realms, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Crusade, Avengers vs X-Men.
Great list, Dave! I definitely agree with number 1! I’ll read anything Hickman. Secret Wars 2015 definitely spoiled me as a reader!
Hawkeye at number 3, Really?
Great video, thank you, never heard of a few of these.
Hey havent seen you on in a while, hope all is well. Hang in there and keep reading even if the podcast game is tough and takes up alot of time. Your voice matters and perspective appreciated. Xmen always!
I knew as soon as this started that the Hickman saga was gonna be #1, cuz it truely is the GOAT. I've read a lot of your list as well, but I have some blind spots. I'll have to fix that
i agree wholeheartedly with your number one. secret wars was breathtaking and i loved god doom. hickman's house and powers of x i think could also go down as one of the all time greats. i really wished marvel could keep him as chief of x.
Yea keep up the videos this is great
Been relatively new to Marvel, I have always read DC first and foremost. I trust your taste so I'll give these a look!
I'm primarily a DC reader but Hickman's run is something special. Enjoy!
I'm more recently getting into comics, I have always liked the hulk and I became drawn to Al Ewings Immortal Hulk and I loved it and I'm currently diving into more stuff by Marvel and DC!
I agree. Immortals Hulk was awesome
Really sad that no one's been brave enough to tackle the Vidion since King. He's been my favorite character since i was a kid and ive veen forever frustrated by the lazy writing and ability nerfing around the Vision. Loved king/walta work
Im so sad. I had 10 big boxes full of hand collected comic books from about 2 years of collecting that just got stolen a month ago. It really hurts because i got into it not long ago and they were alot cheaper than they are now
I hope you get to add more Marvel Comics to your best comics of all time lists
I’m a huge Marvel Comics fan too it is my favorite fictional Universe

People forget the tragic realism of Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Supreme came out before The Watchmen back in the 80s. It was groundbreaking and I remember reading it as a 5th grader when it was released and being blown away and treasuring it. Even in fifth grade I knew it would change everything. Sadly forgotten masterpiece robbed of its revolutionary status by The Watchmen coming out a month or so later.
Read it if you get a chance. It holds up as well as anything from the decade
Objective and undisputed.
Your number 1 is bang on. I was hoping to see how the X-Men would fit into all of this as you could see some threads from the past being knotted in. Marvel failed us all so bad not letting him get on with his work and instead jumping the shark...
X-Statix
Walt Simonson’s Thor
Marvels
Miller’s Daredevil
Hawkeye
Haven’t read these yet
Bro you gotta post more , even if it’s just a short, you make great comic content and don’t just sh** on comics like these other comic book creators , it seems they just hate comics imo , keep going bro 👍
I love Hickman but i have one gripe😅 after reading hickman its hard to like anything else. Reading him will kinda ruin ya for awhile lol. Hes just that good
Yes!!!1 Jonathan Hickman is the best of the best.
I feel like Earth X should at least be mentioned, just for the brilliant way it tie the whole Marvel Universe together and ends it.
Not sure if my number one but definitely top 5 for me is Spider Man Life Story
It might be modernity bias but I was really expecting Immortal Hulk at least in the top 20
🥳🥳🥳
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wasnt expecting you skipping days of future past and avengers under siege.
I think marvel comics with abstract beings are my favorites! Dr.Strange first meeting with the Living Tribunal-- Strange Tales #157 was my favorite all-Time!!! Do you marvellites agree!!!!!
I'm surprised I didn't find HoX/PoX mentioned here
No HoxPox in your top 100 of all time. seriously. i must disagree and kind of surprised knowing your love of it that it didnt make it in.
I love Hickman's Avengers but there's no way that's the greatest story of all time in Marvel Comics history it was too convoluted and you basically if you didn't read all of the books you wouldn't have understood what was going on there's no way that's even in the top 10 it's probably top 15 but not top 10 let alone number one I mean Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis is a better Marvel comic than that what about Secret Wars you didn't even have that on the list the first Secret Wars that's a better comic book than Hickman's Avengers
No HOXPOX? For shame!
All American comics? And only 1 John Byrne comic? You're opinions are invalid.
How could Ultimate Spider-Man be number 100 it's the best Spider-Man story of the last 30 or 40 years literally it should be in the top five of Marvel stories because DC generally gets the better stories than Marvel but Ultimate Spider-Man is actually one of the best Spider-Man Stories the entire Run 1 through 160 you have to read it as an entire run because it's all one continuous story you got to read it like that and if you do there's no way it's number 100 it's got to be in the top five Marvel always focused more on Art than they did stories that's why DC has the better stories but that is a great story and I don't even like Bendis I think he's a horrible writer now he destroyed DC Comics when they bring him over there but during that story he was good
