This was my favorite video of all times!!!! I am 44 yrs old and want to feel pretty but don’t know how to apply all the makeup that people are wearing now days. This tutorial was phenomenal and so helpful. I didn’t even notice the lighting problems you mentioned bc I was so into learning. Thank you for sharing!
Before you buy a new foundation, pop your existing matches (if you have any) into both findation.com and Temptalia’s foundation matrix. Each site has helped me narrow down shades in a new formula to 2-3 options, and then I look at swatches online. It never feels great to return an almost-full bottle that will have to be thrown out, so do what you can to get as close as possible!
Super sweet that you honored my daughter ...... your sister in law on your video !!!!! You are an amazing family Daugther in law. I love you so much. Your gorgeous, humble and very talented. Your mother in law knows you will go far in your career.
I was a professional makeup artist for 20 years. I was a specialist for Chanel. Miss the industry. You have been an inspiration to me and you do a great job on here. 👍🏻
Can't wait for your brushes video! I love brushes and have many from lots of different brands, but I'm always using my Real Techniques brushes. They are so good!
There are so many affordable beginner friendly makeup options these days. I love that you focus on not only affordable makeup but also amazing products.
I do agree with you! Love them! I use the Lumi n1-2 neutral 2 & c3 cool . They are a perfect dupe for the pricey Dior my daughter and I were getting ready for a wedding at my home and she couldn’t believe I had applied my true match foundation checking my face close up and she was using Dior. If they ever discontinued I’ll cry. Lol! I like more than Loreal Infallible I find a bit heavier. Have liked Cover Girl clean, tried No.7/Boots they all leave a rather grayish shade can’t find perfect match in those. Like the Maybelline Fit me too but none come close to L’Oréal true match leaves skin so plumpy and sweat but not oily at all. Perfection! 😍
Excellent video! Thanks so much! Please tell your sister in law that I'm 44 and I've been wearing makeup for 30 years. I still walk into the drugstore and feel overwhelmed. Thankfully, over time, through trial and error, I've discovered favorites, and that loreal true match is my absolute favorite. On their website, they really do help you find your shade. I got it right on the first try using it.
So glad I discovered your channel! You speak to young and mature ladies. Thank you! Easy to follow and wonderful affordable options. Hope your channel continues to grow! :)
OMG!! The shimmer/metallic cream ivory shadow Tattoo pot on the lid and the bronzer in the crease was my go to everyday look going back like 10 years. Decided I need to make more of an effort so I now have over 30 eyeshadow palettes and all I really want to do is go back to my creme on the lid bronzer in my crease look. It is like comfort food or sweatpants for your 👀
I loved this video!! Sharing it with all my family members! I love a very simplified and affordable routine and your explanations are so helpful!! 🙌🏻👌🏻
I did really find this video helpful and you really chose makeup that is super affordable and beginner friendly. Thank you for this video and for alternative options.
WOW this was exactly what I was looking for! I'm actually 60 years old and stopped wearing make up and this is perfect! Nothing crazy; thank you so much! You have a very happy new subscriber!!😍😍😍
Read my mind with this video always good to get back to basics! Really looking forward to the brush video too! I'm never sure which brushes to use for what :)
Great video with wonderful suggestions! I am now on my third Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells...foolproof and so pretty!! For lippies I love L’Oreal Color Riche Shine in Varnished rosewood or Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine in Rum raisin ,.. both are such great my lips buts better glossy easy colors.
Beautiful! Can you make next video with only CRUELTY FREE products? And which mascara you suggest for jet black dramatic volume and length for fine lashes?
Brill vidio ..again xxx another good moisturizer/water gel is vichy hydro gel its amazing sooooo hydrating xx✌🏼and I use that buffing brush by real technique its fabulous, best foundation brush xx
God bless you for this video!! I’m sadly 34 and don’t know much bout makeup.. but this will def help me when shopping!! Can’t wait for next weeks video on brushes because I don’t have a clue bout those!! ❤️❤️
This is THEE BEST beginners kit video I have seen!!! You really know your products!!! I adore the elf ride or die in tough cookie- it is my “ride or die” lip balm for sure❣️ Beautiful shade for many skin tones imho 🥰 Great video❣️
This video is such a great resource! Would love to see your recommended shades for different skin tones as well as SPF - For just an everyday face I don't bother with primer either because a great SPF will leave your face feeling prepped for makeup too!
Okayyy this is such a stunning makeup look! I'm obsessed! Also for someone who barely wears foundation, what do you think about the Maybelline Fit me Matte foundation? Should I get that one?
I simplified my makeup several years ago and I use so many of these products. I often struggle with which brush to use and I own all the brushes you used (some were Christmas presents!) I have mature skin, so I use a Revlon cream eyeshadow in a matte brown color as a one and done product- blending it out with my bronzer. I also LOVE the Elf brow product as it is SO fast to use! This list is the best I’ve seen, ever!!❤️😉
Great products! I would just swicth the concealer for the Revlon Candid concealer (applied with a flat brush), especially if the person has a lot of fine lines/wrinkles) ( although I also like that Fit me one too), the Elf blush brush for the Wallgreens Brand angled blush brush(for applying blush), The Expert Face brush for the flat top brush from Wet n Wild for foundation, & the moisturizer for the Vanicream Light lotion because its more moisturizing withouth being oily or causing breakouts :)
I love your recommendations very helpful. I need to get the elf duo blush and highlighter. Next Revlon cream eye shadow and lip product. I'm going to give my face sunscreen (AG tinted sunscreen) a touch of color... 😁 By the way you look BEAUTIFUL!!
Such a helpful video! Does the No7 Loose Powder have a slight sheen/shimmer once applied? Or is it more matte? Appreciate and trust your opinion! Thank you! 💗
I’ve been wanting to tell u how excited I was to see the PF X Weylie palette in ur fav video! 😍And I didn’t realize that I could use one of the bronzer as a contour ❤️ I’m surprised at how much I love my Tough Cookie gloss. I really thought it was too thick at first but it does a really great job at keeping my lips moisturized 😊❤️💄
Hi there, I'm 35yrs old & have normal skin. Do you have any recommendations for a primer for fine lines. I have those 2 lines in between my eyebrows & no matter how I apply my make up, seems to set in the lines and make them more noticeable. Any tips or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks! Great video
We can’t return opened makeup in Australia. Which is why I have a light and a dark Maybelline Fit Me to mix with foundations when I don’t get the colour right.
@@kellya8267 maybe! They used to before the pandemic but yes you’re right mine doesn’t! I just didn’t want anyone getting stuck with a shade that isn’t a match! But yes def call ahead!
You don’t need Eyeshadow Palettes just yet. You can also use Shadow Sticks 🥰👑😘 Shadow Sticks they’re my best friend. Elf Cosmetics & Colourpop has some affordable ones.
It's called a palette, but really it's just a quad. She chose that one because it literally says crease, lid, highlight and transition right on it. Perfect for a beginner who doesn't know where to apply the colors.
@@prettykiwikawaii1995 But you are also right about shadow sticks. They are so easy to apply and blend. I have a couple of the Elf ones you mentioned. 😉
Ohh yes, I agree so much, it's a jungle. The sales people always wants to get you to pick ekspensiv things and a lot of things you really don't need, when you get home, you stand there and are Soo confused. This i a great video, and so helpful. 😀 Be safe and take care Big hugs from stine, from Denmark 🇩🇰 🌹 🌺 🥰 💝 🌺
Same here Liz. I have the same color shown and it's beautiful on. This is coming from someone who only wore 1 shade of lipstick in high school (that blazing white cream/gloss. I know. It sounds horrible, lol but trust me. It was the "in" lipstick)...
Brush wise I would just tell the person to get a brush set from BH Cosmetics but idk if thats drugstore drugstore. After that I would Choose Real Techniques for Eye Brushes and Eco tools for Face brushes, or stick to the Wallgreens brand brushes, those are nice.
Can you make up a bag of products from drugstore for more mature skin. Maybe you can use an older model like a mother-in-law. I love your videos because you are so real and pretty.
A really useful tip from when I started wearing makeup is just buy a concealer and using that for a foundation as I didn’t wear a full face often and I wouldn’t get through a whole foundation before it would expire
As a beginner in makeup, I have the hardest time trying to find an eyelash curler that fits my eye shape. It's hard to "diagnose" exactly why it doesn't fit. Three different dimensions to consider is two too many...
Tweezerman has different shaped curlers, and they describe exactly how the shapes work and for which eye shape. I found out I needed a flatter one and finally all of my lashes fit into the curler when I followed their description.
That loreal lip color is the same as your lips, I don't know why people would bother with lipstick when that happens. I can't get the product out of those elf balms, it's so frustrating to need so much time that I don't use mine.
Oh my gosh, the ads! There are so many, and they are back-to-back. There didn't used to be this many ads. Is it a sign of the times? Thanks for showing us these great products. I really enjoy your video advice; the excessive ads, not so much.

Do you also use that neutrogena moisturizer at night? I find that moisturizer to be too lightweight, so I use the ceraVe renewing night cream.
I do! I also pair it with an oil in the evening to seal in more moisture but that CeraVe one is amazing too 🙌🏼
Also recommend the Almay q-tip type makeup removers :-)
