Hello Just had a question for ya. I just got a new ZR1 and it says 60 To zero 20 times to burnish. Is that what you did on yours. Also it says to do it as quick as possible. But I don’t have the motor broke in yet. Your thoughts 💭
If you want to do a proper burnish, yes that is the necessary procedure. It seems overkill but if you do not do a proper burnish before going to the track, you could experience what feels like brake fade. You don't need to take the car to redline to do this, so not having 500 miles on it should not impact things too much. But, if the engine is not past the break-in period, not sure it would be necessary to do the burnish as they recommend 1500 miles before going on track anyway.
