One question I often get is: 'Why focus on embracing new habits and mindsets in midlife? Isn’t it too late to make big changes?'
My answer: Absolutely not! Midlife is actually the perfect time to rediscover yourself, try new things, and focus on what truly matters. We have the wisdom of experience, the freedom to make intentional choices, and the clarity to prioritize joy, health, and connection.
What about you? What’s something you’re embracing to live a more vibrant life? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s inspire each other in the comments!

Always great advice. Anneli your skin is so beautiful, I know we are what we eat, and you have a super healthy diet and it shows. I’d love to know what changes you’ve made to skincare and makeup over 50. And that lip colour please?

Thank you so much, Gail! That’s so kind of you to say. 💛 I truly believe that what we put in our bodies plays a huge role in how we look and feel, and I’ve definitely embraced a 'less is more' approach to skincare over 50. Daily sunscreen is my non-negotiable! I haven’t changed too much, but I do have a few favourite products I love.
As for the lip colour, I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Hydrating Lipstick in Pillow Talk, but it looks a bit deeper because I paired it with Anastasia Beverly Hills Long-Lasting Velvety-Matte Lip Liner in Raisin instead of my usual Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat. It’s such a flattering combo! Let me know if you’d like a full video on my skincare and makeup favourites-I’d love to share!

@ yes please to the skincare and makeup video 🙋‍♀️ I will look into that lip combo, I’ve never used liner, I guess it might help the lips look fuller. I’ve been thinking of having a tiny bit of filler put in, but I’ll have to research that more, I’m sure they have more natural fillers nowadays, I’ve never dabbled it that before.

Yes, lip liner can definitely help define the lips and even adjust the lipstick shade slightly-I don’t always use it, but when I do, I love the look it gives. And you’re right, there are so many options these days when it comes to fillers! I think doing your research and making the choice that feels right for you is always the best approach. I’ll definitely put together a skincare and makeup video soon. I'm looking forward to sharing it!

My mom too died of Alzheimer’s 😢. I am good at doing all the things that you talk about, and totally agree you. I am like your sister and love traveling on my own. I wish to do more of that in the future. Thank you for this video ❤

I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. 💔 Losing someone to Alzheimer’s is such a difficult journey, and my heart goes out to you. It sounds like you’re honoring her memory by taking care of yourself and living a full, vibrant lie. How inspiring! I love that you’re embracing solo travel like my sister! Wishing you many incredible adventures ahead, and thank you so much for watching and sharing this with me.

Great video. Yes this is the year we glow brighter. I’ve gone back to the gym and I hv joint pain so I am doing aquatic classes again. You feel so good after. I’m now an empty nester so I’ve got a goal to save more money and declutter what no longer serves me. February is my no spend month. Good luck ladies! Happy and healthy New Year!

Thank you so much for sharing, Stamatiamcgrath! I absolutely love the idea of a no-spend month-it's such a powerful way to reset financially and creatively. I haven’t done one in a while, but I remember how fun and eye-opening it was to use up things I already had lying around and find creative solutions. February is the perfect time for it, too! Wishing you so much success with your goals, and I love that you're also prioritizing your health with aquatic classes-what a fantastic way to feel great while being gentle on your joints. It would be so fun to organize a no-spend challenge together someday with a group of us! Happy and healthy New Year to you as well! 🌟

This is the 2nd year that I have adopted a word to help me remember to stay on track to what I want to do. Last year the word was Growth. I wanted to learn and grow my art skills. This year is UpLift. This year I want to UpLift my life and skills. To feel UpLifted. To have that UpLifting feeling when having fun, accomplishing something, spending time with family and friends, going on outings, planning an incredible meal and learn to make it from scratch, going for walks and hikes, etc.
I wake up very early, head off to my art studio and the first thing I see is my word UpLift written down right where I would see it every day. It makes me smile and starts the day UpLifting.

Thank you for sharing, Danita! I absolutely love the word UpLift-it’s such a beautiful and inspiring choice for the year ahead. 💛 I’ve tried having a word for the year a few times in the past, but I didn’t really feel the full benefit-maybe I didn’t post it in enough spots to keep it front and center like you do with your art studio. Seeing it daily must be such a wonderful reminder to start your day on a positive note!
Your plans for creating that UpLifting feeling in so many areas of your life-whether it’s through art, fun outings, time with loved ones, or making incredible meals from scratch (my favourite thing to do)-are so inspiring! I’m curious, what kind of art do you work on in your studio? It sounds like such a creative and fulfilling space to begin your mornings. 😊 Wishing you an UpLifting year ahead! 🌟

My word this is authenticity just doing what I enjoy and being true to myself. As I get older I want to be more grateful for all I have.
    Great advice

Thanks for sharing, Amber! Diamond art sounds like such a relaxing and creative activity ( I had to google it) I imagine it’s such a great way to unwind and enjoy some “you time.” 😊 I love the idea of pairing it with RUclips videos-it’s like combining two things that bring joy and inspiration! What kind of designs do you enjoy working on most? ✨

Hi, CillaSen, thank you so much for your feedback-I really appreciate you letting me know!
