I used the same vinyl tint on my Nissan Z and the fronts took an hour each. They're egg shaped, and not a flat spot to be had. Re-position and heat and squeegee until the wrinkles come out. They came out perfectly. The two rear lights took about 45 mins. each. You have to remember not to touch the film while applying. Your first instinct is to grab wherever. Have a good heat gun, don't forget to put down painter's tape, and maybe a few prayers on the way to when you start. I had Christian's videos for both front and rear on my iPad in case I needed them. I wouldn't have attempted to do any of them without watching Christian's videos. So, thank you for that, Christian. My best, Scott
i just used this wrap on a 2012 ford fusion. and something i learned is where the manufacturer injects the plastic into the tail light mold it will leave a imperfection on the tail light which i learned very fast that it will tear this wrap very easily when you pull in up to re-apply. to be honest i was pretty pist
Dude, I have no idea how you make this look so easy. I've tried to mimic these steps on my '06 Outback tails several times and I just can't seem to get it.
Thanks for posting this video! Your technique and intro to dry apply tint film should work perfectly for my car. I've got a 2016 Ford Edge Sport and I've tried and failed twice already with wet apply on my tail lights. They span the whole rear and the corners are super convex pieces. After watching this, I'm pretty sure I get it done finally.
Ordered some of this stuff to do my 15 4runner.... do not recommend doing a 4R as your first attempt. But for my first attempt it went fairly well, there's just so many negative spaces on these lights that I ended up with a few bubbles. Great product though, on any other vehicle it would have been super easy ...lol
i did this to the headlights on my 2016 gmc sierra probably one of the easiest headlights out there and my dumb ass glassed it all the way to the edges putting it under a lot of tension and within a day it pulled back so yea im glad i watched this vid you make it very apprent you have to make sure to keep tension off the edges or make the fingers go horizontal so it tries curling into itself i honestly didnt like the look of my headlights being tinted anyway but the vinyl is coming for the tail lights soon and i think im ready to tackle it the only thing is the tail lights have 2 bumps and looks like it might be fun so hopefully i dont screw up and run out of material lol
I've watched few vids about tail light tinting, and I've been wondering why some people do a wet application while some others just put it on dry. Any pros and cons about this subject?
After a few attempts and trials I've been able to somewhat get better at it but I have trouble with all these tiny air bubbles throughout the taillight, it's so frustrating zzzzzzzzzzzz
So I guess this tint can withstand a bit of heat? I used the same gun as you but always on low. My results weren't all that great especially around the edges. The edges are crinkled and lifting. 😢
You make it look so easy I want to do my 09 ctsv taillights just a little darker and headlights like what you just did how can I get some material thanks
I was wondering if you can wrap a civic hatchback tail lights because it is very complicated with how the tail lights of the hatchback is dhaped. Thanks
Yo, I've just watched your videos on tinting tail lights. I'm thinking about tinting my 6th gen Camaro's tail lights, but the designs are super intricate. How would you recommend going about wrapping those with tint film?
You make it look easy. I’m on my third try on the main lights of model 3. Do a tutorial for it please. I’m a good customer, bought 3 double rolls so far 😂 and haven’t even made it to the front lights
I wrapped my taillights with vvivid film and after 6 months the tint started to recede from the edges as if shrinking. Had to remove. Any tips on how to prevent this from happening?
I want to wrap a motorcycle windshield that is made of a plexiglass of some sort will this wrap be good for this application? Will it stick or start to peel off over time?
cane you make a how to wrapp a the big fron mersedes benz logo inside a grill like whit a model like c class, cla, or A class how to wrapp it in glosse black? thanks
when u strecth ther film like that, when you tucked it from the back to the side. doesnt the film become more opaque on the areas that are more stretched?
I finally got my tail lights wrapped perfectly, only to come outside a couple of hours later and the edges had shrunk by 1/2 inch. please help. any tips are greatly appreciated.
Hey thanks for the vids man. Love the product. So far I love the look. However, I'm gonna have to do it again anyway because I kept getting a crinkle almost in the wrap. I'd pull it like you do to straighten it out but then it has like a crease from the adhesive. Please let me know what i'm not doing to get it right. But for the first time working with the stuff it turned out looking pretty bad ass. Thanks
Fregens Auguste woahh no that’s way too dark for my safety preference. 15-20% VLT is nice for window tint, but way too dark for headlights/tailights. For something like a light smoke you would be looking at a 80-90% VLT, and for a dark smoke anything under 65%. Rough estimates but if you can look for the specifications as some vinyl sellers put the VLT rating in the description.
zimmerframe Headlight/Tailight tint has different properties than window tint. Also window tint is generally darker and you wouldn’t want to make your tailights super dark with say 20% VLT window tint, you wouldn’t be able to see the brake lights from far away.
Nice. I have to buy chinese junk off ebay because no one will pay the proper price for quality film. Fukun shit has to go on wet n then its 20 mins of chasing and drying to get it to form n stick.
Why can't I just move the red circle to choose where I want to start watching the video... this been going on for a while now.. Is RUclips turning into spotify?
Tried this out side.. in the cold... with no heat gun..... never got soo pissed off in my life

Really nice job, I have learnt a lot from this video and key thing I have learnt is to be patient and thorough. Many thanks

Definitely going to do this soon to my Avenger. Great videos bro. And those cuts are so damn clean!

Nice guide
Where I can buy the film? Also what tint % did you use?

This dude is the goat 🤧
Tried doing this myself before watching this vid and I think my problem was I did everything you're saying NOT to do. 😅
Wow, you make that look easy...
That looks great.
I would love a Video where you wrap the rear lights of an 4 Series bmw... Would be very thankfull for that.

+Sandra Sulibit keep practicing, you'll get it right
Nice, how are you doing now?
thanks man! done that in the past the wrong way and lost a big chunk of film
Great job!
Question...can you sandwich stickers between two layers of wrap? Like clear a body panel, sticker bomb that and then wrap a clear coat over it?
Great video!! Sony a6000 a nice ahh camera tho, as someone who owns a camera shop lol…
Mate your amazing at this I've ordered this film, but how do you compare this to other like to like products?
So I guess this tint can withstand a bit of heat? I used the same gun as you but always on low. My results weren't all that great especially around the edges. The edges are crinkled and lifting. 😢

Just did my 2015 Cadillac ATS taillights and those were so difficult
I was wondering if you can wrap a civic hatchback tail lights because it is very complicated with how the tail lights of the hatchback is dhaped. Thanks
Great technique with the shrinking back and squeegying and letting us know the air channels will go away over time! love these videos
Yo, I've just watched your videos on tinting tail lights. I'm thinking about tinting my 6th gen Camaro's tail lights, but the designs are super intricate. How would you recommend going about wrapping those with tint film?
Any videos or advice on how to do the tail light tint on a 2012 Mazda 3 sedan?
Can you double it up with two layers to achieve a darker shade?
You can order different tint % meaning there will be a darker shade of tint available for the tail lights (dependant on what your countries laws are)
Idk why but the vvivid tint i received from amazon is just to thick and way to sticky compared to this one. Yours seems more light and soft like .idk
You make it look easy. I’m on my third try on the main lights of model 3. Do a tutorial for it please. I’m a good customer, bought 3 double rolls so far 😂 and haven’t even made it to the front lights

wish you would do a video on wrapping chrome window moulding only( how to cut w out cutting into paint etc)
how to wrap a tail light of nissan altima 2010 because i have
when u strecth ther film like that, when you tucked it from the back to the side. doesnt the film become more opaque on the areas that are more stretched?
+Micke no, the film remains consistent even after stretching. It's meant to be stretched to a certain extent without discoloration
Chris. does that vinyl also have a film on top om the vinyl? protective film when installing it.
can i use this on my windows
IF properly applied, how long will vinyl in general last? is it months? or is it long enough that its irrelevant?
it would last for years or a lifetime if taken care of.
awesome, thank you for info.
i subscribed
I finally got my tail lights wrapped perfectly, only to come outside a couple of hours later and the edges had shrunk by 1/2 inch. please help. any tips are greatly appreciated.
+bigbenschoessler it sounds like you may have over stretched the film and then didn't relax the edges before trimming the excess off
CK Wraps , you guys are awesome! I will try a less aggressive method. it's a Cadillac ct6 if that makes a difference. thanks for the help
i wish your shop in my city. the shop's here did terrible job
Foil Name , pleace

oh also about how long should I wait to wash or does it matter
What percentage tint do you recommend for headlight and taillights? 25%?
Fregens Auguste woahh no that’s way too dark for my safety preference. 15-20% VLT is nice for window tint, but way too dark for headlights/tailights. Does anyone know what this does?
anyone make a video of wrapping fiat abarth tail lights . 🤔😥
I would love to work with you?
I have nothing to do with wrapping cars but you are very handsome.
+Dorin Glamour lol thank you
SAM Taylor whats true is true lol
I tried.... 😢
Why can this not be used for window tinting?
zimmerframe Headlight/Tailight tint has different properties than window tint. Also window tint is generally darker and you wouldn’t want to make your tailights super dark with say 20% VLT window tint, you wouldn’t be able to see the brake lights from far away.
You could use this on car windows...... but it usually comes in 300 or 400mm wide rolls. Roof chop much?
Know this was a while ago hopefully you reply. What heat what the gun on please reply
The highest setting
👌🏾💯
Are you in Canada boss. I wanna get my taillight tint.
Nice. I have to buy chinese junk off ebay because no one will pay the proper price for quality film. Fukun shit has to go on wet n then its 20 mins of chasing and drying to get it to form n stick.
