- Ever been to the weird part of the recipes on Pinterest? Recipes combining flavor combinations that you would assume would never go together and make something good?
Well, I found a recipe that horrified, yet intrigued me. Kool-ickles. Kool Aid infused pickles. Yes, that's right Cupcakes. KOOL-AID!

the original flavor for koolickles is Cherry. I don't want to do mine Cherry so I need some help with another flavor that would taste good.
The fruit punch ones that we tried in the video were yummy. I did like the black cherry ones as well, but that is my favorite Kool Aid flavor to begin with, so I am a little biased. :P
MelBaToasties thank you for your reply. I think I'm going to try watermelon because it would be like my old watermelon rind pickles bit of vinegar and crunchy and taste like watermelon period I will report back if you would like me to. :-)

2/3 of a cup! It does make it sweet. In the Black Cherry flavor ones we did, I didn't let the sugar fully dissolve, and so it wasnt as sweet as the others, which I kind of liked. The black cherry ones were my favorite. :)
Margaret Rudd They do this all the time in Mississippi.
Kenyetta Doyle they sell these all over the South as well. I would heat the mixture to dissolve the sugar and then add to Kool-Aid.
My friend and I discussed that too. It would help infuse the pickles. If I do that next time, I would add less of the sugar because I didnt dissolve the sugar all the way in one of the flavors, it made it less sweet. Turned out to be my favorite of the bunch because it wasn't super sweet. :)
MelBaToasties I have seen people in the Deep South use 8 cups of sugar! I can't imagine.
