It sounds like you are describing an owl sounding off like they can. They will sound like chimpanzees going off at times. It can really get you thinking about what you are hearing. Keep doin what you do Jim. It’s good to watch your videos
2.03 I think you caught it across the river there is a dark patch that seems to change shape every time you pan around then the dark patch is just gone,at one time it looked human shaped ,please have a look
I once heard "chimpanzees" screeching at the local reservoir about 5 minutes after taking a pee in a secluded area, we don't have chimpanzees in Australia, except in Zoos or course.
First thing i thought of because of the arc you said the sounds followed was it may have been a raven vocalizing. They make some really strange noises and are amazing with mimic skills.
Aloha Jim! I think the creature may be having a good time with you! He knows you want to find him, but he is busy hiding behind trees or doing his best impression of an old Stump! (lol) I think he may be closer than you think sometimes. A recorder or trail cam would be a great idea!!

The forest sure looks different from the last time you posted. Very bare.....it seems it would be difficult to hide.
Maybe they blend in like many animals do. They seem to disappear.
