Bruce Lee was and still is the whole reason I started martial arts and bettering my body when I was 10 years old in 1989.
Bruce had his sweat glands surgically removed, he hated sweating on screen. He suffered from headaches and heat exhaustion. He overtrained quiet often. He spent several months in hospital after a catastrophic back injury left him unable to walk. Cerebral edema was his killer. I still adore Bruce Lee and will forever. He was a guy born too soon and died too soon. Bless him.
Bruce Lee did have beef with the Triads which is why his family sent him away to America. What's more he had enemies who despised him for teaching foreigners his culture!!! He was a marked man!!! There was already an attempt to assassinate him on the set of "Chinese Connection" the exact same way his son was killed!!! People were out to get him & they eventually caught up!!!! I grew up admiring Lee's legacy & I still do!!!! REST IN PARADISE!!!!!😭😭😭
Lee had his glands removed from his armpits due to him not liking that he had profuse sweating in that area, Hong Kong was super hot and humid at the time. Bruce's first brush with death was when he was in a literal basement sweatbox without air con dubbing for the movie Enter the Dragon which is is where he had his first seizure/edema (brain swell) due to over heating and his bodies failure to regulate heat due to the armpit glands being removed. He was lucky he was found and rushed to the hospital or he would of died then. Having those glands removed messes up your bodies heat regulation. The day of his death being one of the hottest days at the time of him going to betty ting Pei's apartment he was overheating again getting a headache (another edema/brain swell) then taking the pain killer on top of that caused him to slip into a coma. Unfortunately Betty did NOT ring an ambulance she rang Raymond Chow who then travelled to Betty's apartment to try and wake Bruce, apparently slapping him to try and wake him. When this didn't work he then called a hospital further away to send an ambulance as he didn't want the press to see Bruce was at another woman's apartment and going to the hospital near by, all these decisions to DELAY getting Bruce to hospital ASAP caused him to die. This would mean vanity killed Bruce. This is believable. I can believe this.

Bruce died of cerebral edema …But it couldn’t have been caused by an allergic reaction to Equigesic because Bruce had TWO brain swellings ….One on the 10th may 1973 the other on the 20th July…He never took equegisic on the 10th of may….Both swellings were created by something else…The medical experts who supported the equigesic theory were criticised by Dr Langford who had administered Manitol to bring down the first Brain swelling on the 10th May and he said the equigesic hypothesis was fiction. But then his later assertion that it was cannabis was equally improbable….The two Brain swellings were caused by neither. But by something within the laws of kinetics,physics, chemistry or biology which explain BOTH swellings in perfect timeline chronological sequence…Something involving cumulative effect and delayed reaction…It wasn’t blows to the head because the autopsy showed no bruises or signs of strikes …But it could have been something else.

While all the teenage girls had Donny Osmond posters on their bedroom walls I had Bruce lee, I watched all his films, took up Martial arts and learned the nunchucks, I was a teen then, at 64 now I still love Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies.

my uncle wasn't even born yet when Lee died. this shows how Lee influenced so much.

Bruce Lee was the personification of human mastery.
I thought he would of been clever enough not to get his sweat glands removed, that would of backfired on his health particularly when training so hard, I'm surprised the doctors allowed it, I saw autopsy USA, the human body was not made to over train itself, he over did it, his body paid the price, and his diet was so healthy it couldn't handle foreign substances which unfortunately lead to his death, RIP the ledgenorary Bruce Lee*

All I can see is that Jackie Chan did exactly what Bruce Lee didn't want to happen to the Chinese people. He was tired of them being laughed at now. No one got that from Bruce Lee then you really didn't know that man. He did not like his people being laughed at in such a way. Comedy is comedy but it was going into the realm of just hatred and racism and Bruce Lee did not like that and Jackie Chan as I see, took the bait hook line and sinker after Bruce Lee was gone. All of a sudden Jackie started being so comedic and funny and you know buffooned that it didn't make no sense. Now I'm not throwing no jabs at Jackie man. Get your money anyway you can. But this is what Bruce didn't want for his people and Jackie should have known that. I believe Jackie Chan knew that but he's still took it the other way first chance he got

A force of nature is how I would describe Bruce Lee. To have achieved speed and strength at his level at his age is an accomplishment in itself.

Bruce Lee unfortunately didn’t get an opportunity for sharing his story, ethics that was passed on. Very few are left. Chan is not alone. The high ethics and discipline that are emulated by a remnant aren’t portrayed on the silver screen is a catastrophe. Any that questions the ethics of Bruce Lee I’ll pause and question motives. His master was similarly as ethical, discerning and decisive.
Bruce Lee, in my humble opinion wouldn’t endorse or entertain the thugs that have no respect or morals. He was honorable, lived as a man, provided for his family and put his best foot forward with integrity.

Bruce was in trouble in HK because he beat up a guy, who turned out to be the son of a big Triad mafia boss, this is why he fled to the USA. When he went back to HK and became a star, the Triad wanted to do the usual protection money scam, or they would bring people to trash his set preventing people from working. Bruce eventually paid up, it was cost of doing business as his studio executives were used to it. But Bruce found out, the studio exec were in on the Triad business themselves, its commonly used to launder money in the film business.

imagine jackie chan paying the triades to kill bruce lee by swapping up he's medication or some sort and poisoning entire food supply out of jealousy, that bruce lee ate during the recordings of he's movies, wich overtime brought bruce to he's death after so many movies and appointments with people inside the industry and outside, you can imagine bruce lee hardly had time to cook for himself, i bet bruce lee got him handed food and drinks from everywere just to get by each day .
what if jackie chan is the killer the whole time smiling and doing goofy things on camera in he's movies wich makes eventually jackie the winner and the ultimate martial arts star.
While we laugh and admire jackie, he must laugh at us the audience, thinking to himself that yourship one of the greatest killers of all time, who got away with it, murdered a person + being worhsipped and got rich beyond belief .
Sure jackie himself can say they were good friends to cover up everything, but who is going to define " being good friends " hell i don't think bruce lee himself can say it if they were or not.

Huge fan since 1973 & to this day ❤ made the trek to the extreme other end of our country from south florida to Seattle Washington to visit him & Brandon's Graves I re-traced his steps went where he had been university of Washington- to the space needle etc - in 1998 I'm SO glad I went when I did!!!! The 50th anniversary just passed I'd dreamed for years of attending that milestone - BUT - Seattle has changed dramatically!!! It was beautiful when I went & the people were so nice - now? The whole pacific rim is a disaster!! & the way the site has changed is BEYOND HORRIBLE!!! some awful crappy stairs were put there looks cheap I don't know what happened that changed it into ""THAT"" ??? I WISH IT WOULD BE RESTORED TO HOW IT WAS!!!😢

Chan worked with Lee before ETD. It wasn't the first time.

Jackie wasn't kicked but rather struck with Bruce's staff. Bruce let the scene play out though he knew what had happened, then after the scene was cut immediately went to Jackie to make sure he was ok. Jackie hammed it up a little though he was ok so Bruce would hold him longer. Jackie tells the story and is easy to find.

Bruce was abusing anabolic steroids, and was gaining weight from water retention, so was using diuretics off cycle. That coupled with cheating on his wife with Betty Ting Pei while being dehydrated on a hot summer day caused him to have a terrible headache, taking the fatal equagesic tablet that ended his life.

I was 8 years old when Bruce Lee died. I didn't know anything about Bruce until I was 10 years old going to a Karate dogo. I was told he died at home next to his wife and his ortopsy showed a brain aneurysm exploded, and after a blood test was positive for painkillers that caused the blood vessels to shrink which contributed to the aneurysm to rupture.
I have always loved Bruce Lee and I find it extremely hard to believe that his death was accidental especially since his son Brandon also died during the recording of his last movie just like his father died during the making of his last movie coincidence I think not!!!! R.I.P Bruce Lee
