Yup. Insane shot. He swings, the ball rolls out of the nick, not a frame in between.
That's how long the green Tecnifibre string lasts (Rodriguez). In the last point, the string broke.
Dessouky has excellent technical skills. Don't know why his ranking can't move higher. He needs more desire to become #1
Fitness. Has had a history of cramping later in matches and tournaments, is why I suspect he plays slower pace now compared to how he used to, with a lot of lifting during longer rallies especially. He was on the ropes at the end of the 3rd for sure.
He also had loads of injuries over the years
1. Mental lapses - will sometimes lose a couple points then fall apart. Hopefully mostly behind him now
2. Injuries, presumably related to his very unusual build for a squash pro! He's got bulk more typical of a gymnast (which as I recall he used to be) - just look at his shoulders.
Well then Asal should break apart after 1 game given his even bulkier and chubby physique
Honestly speaking, Asal is chubby, not typical squash player body style. But his move is amazing, not sure how long he can keep it

If The Technician had just a bit better mental strength, a little bit more attritional fitness and match to match endurance, he’d be the best player in the world. His anerobic power and technical skill when on form are beyond compare

Rodriguez playing a very standard game, not his usual flair for the unexpected. Disappointing.
