    What a match!! The best thing about loving squash is that as a squash fan you can't loose when watching a match like this.

    Huge scalp for Crouin. Following two 5-game matches for your opponent, you'd think forcing a 20-minute first game would bring you a win. Crouin had other ideas!

    Well done Victor! He is more and more precise and manages his winning points perfectly. Coll's defense game reaches its limits against such an opponent.

      Plus précis en fond de court, plus offensif et plus efficace en attaque, tout ce qu'il faut pour gagner 3-0.

    Bravo Victor ! Lorsque tu te tapes le cerveau apres tes matchs, ce n'est pas pour rien : tu joues de maniere hyper intelligente. C'est brillant, et évidemment doublé d'un vrai talent pour les nicks !!! Si jamais un jour les nicks ne sont pas au rendez-vous, continue a parier sur tes brillantes alternances de rythme et de longueur !

    Wow this tournament is full of surprises! Being from Flanders, Belgium I'm always rooting for Tinne, Nele and Neles fiance Coll here but they all got beaten 😢 Hope they do well in the next ones 💪🏻

    • @MatteoKmusic
      @MatteoKmusic 6 месяцев назад

      Paul and Nele both won their respective finals in New Zealand a few weeks ago - and I think Nele beat Tinne in the final or semi - so all three have been going well and I expect they will be competitive again v. soon. Tinne v Orfi was v. close; just a couple of points separating them.

    Coles do not take the opportunity to kill shots when needed and seems uncertain what to do with an easy kill shots - at times far too many basic slow shots and nothing else. Need to be more aggressive and hit away while hes still young an fit.....just saying

    It seems that to make a top player like Paul Coll lose a point, in many cases, it only happens when the ball hits the corner of the side wall and the floor, resulting in hardly any bounce. I'm curious, is such a result of the shot the deliberate training outcome of these genius athletes, or is it more like when I play, often a case of a blind cat running into a dead mouse?

    • @tonytan5945
      @tonytan5945 6 месяцев назад

      It’s called the nick shot, and yes they specifically train to get the ball in there if they can.

    what a match the only other person happy to Crouin win is Farag

  • @t3tsubo
    @t3tsubo 6 месяцев назад +3

    Try counting the number of high pace/hard shots that Coll hits per rally... more often than not it was 0!
    Strange way to play at this world level, then again Farag is somewhat similar

    • @Bruiser223
      @Bruiser223 6 месяцев назад +5

      are you trying to tell a former world number one and recent major tournament champion how to play squash?

    • @tonytan5945
      @tonytan5945 6 месяцев назад

      It’s called a weighted shot and designed not to be a clear winner but some call it a working shot as it makes your opponent work as hard as possible to stay in the rally. It’s a game of attrition when you play Coll and it’s his trademark. When you blast a volley into the nick, it looks amazing but your opponent didn’t need to run for it, you took the risk that it might come out like a crap shot etc. it’s just a different style of play. What works for Coll wouldn’t work for many.
