@@lealowensternplease watch as much of these series as possible. I was literally laughing for 27 hours straight watching listening and reading the story.quite literally the best day of my life, though the bat is kind’ve low.
My favorite part is when it introduced the queen. She was someone incredibly smart. Probably the only one who could match Lloyd on an intellectual level. Both of them read the other like a book. From Lloyd thinking he outsmarted her only for her to send her knight to tell him she knew all along. To him reading two steps ahead and having Javier smirk after she's had time to think about what was said. Their scenes just highlighted to me how smart both of them are.
I also love how Dokja and Suho/Lloyd are so fantastic without being the typical overpowered protagonist. They aren't the purely righteous heroes types either. That balance! We need more protagonists like them 💖💖💖
I’ve read both and though I feel that Dokja is better as a character with history and background like his mom being a criminal and stuff but I agree, Lloyd is awesome, especially with his ingenious way of annoying Javier.
@@ControversialOpinionGuy eh, eventually everyone is going to be stronger, are you really op when everyone is op? Btw im Not spoiling, just making assumptions
I feel the best Isekais actually teach the readers something they didn't know about our IRL world such as the various types of books and how they're made in "Ascendance of a Bookworm". Watching the anime of "Restaurant to Another World" got members of my family to try out new foods/dishes they would normally never look at twice.
try ‘Gourmet Gaming’. the humor is top notch and a pretty average story. but, the protagonist only cares about food. will make you feel starved even on a full stomach, can speak from experience
Re Zero and Mushoku Tensei will always have a special place in my heart for showing asshole dudes better male role models and how to not be a trash human being towards women. I'm dead serious about this btw. Betelgeuse is literally a twisted reflection of Subaru's attitude of entitlement towards Emilia in Re Zero, as well as most of the side characters being cooler and more respectful dudes who teach him how to not be trash. In Mushoku Tensei Rudeus starts out as a literal 30 year old degenerate who never progressed socially and emotionally from when he was 13-14 because bullying at school caused him to withdraw from society and give up on life. He goes from thinking he is hot shit in his new life to *fucking humbled* several times. Like he starts off the series thinking how much smarter and better his than his father Paul (who is scum but complicated scum, some important bits of which were skipped in the anime), but then in season two he gets a hard dose of reality when he realizes the extent of the mana disaster and how he could have done so much more to help. No one else blames him because he is in a child's body, but he realizes how much of a fool he has been and it's this crazy emotional moment. Those stories don't teach you as much about practical crafts, and frankly I absolutely loved that Aspect of Ascendence of a Bookworm as well (and everything else about the show), but I think the life lessons in Re Zero and Mushoku Tensei that are there to sneak their way towards toxic younger men are fairly valuable too, for teaching young men healthier ways to look at work, life, and relationships. Well, except for how the animated version of Mushoku Tensei covered the relationship and history between Lillia and Paul. They kind of realllllly dropped the ball on that. But all of the bits about Rudeus starting out as a shithead and then actually learning slowly how to not be a terrible person have so far been handled well. And Lillia and Paul's relationship makes a lot more sense if you read the light novels. If you are interested and don't mind the spoilers I'll give the shortest version I can here. Paul left his family home and position of power from a wealthy noble family because he couldn't stand his abusive father. But he was really cocky and full of himself, naturally talented but not a hard worker. He studied at the same dojo as Lillia and surpassed her in practical ability in combat quickly, but was never awarded the position of number 1 student. Lillia was jealous of Paul's talent and furious at his lack of work ethic and was frequently rude to him, and always made sure to point out he was not the #1 in the school. One night after a particularly bad day between the both of them Paul sexually assaulted Lillia, and then immediately fled the dojo in shame, as he saw himself becoming as controlling and arrogant as his father. Lillia became a bodyguard/maid to the concubines or Asuran Royalty, but was never a top class warrior. She ended up foiling an assassination attempt but received a crippling wound to one of her legs that made her unable to fight. She was low enough among the nobility that they didn't want to keep her on with a pension as a "useless" guard, but there was also a risk that she would be targeted either politically or via assassination since she had served in a fairly sensitive position and might be coerced into spilling juicy secrets. So, she moved to the countryside looking for work as a laborer or maid, and found a posting from a small noble.in the countryside offering her a higher salary than she was expecting. This turned out to be a older, married Paul. Paul had legitimately changed and apologized to her, but Lillia also knew that Paul's familial connections, distant as they were, could ensure her safety. The combination of the higher salary, her own insecure position, and Paul's growth from the 14-15ish year old arrogant boy he was to the loving husband and father he became convinced her it would be okay to take the job. Lillia ends up seducing Paul several years after the Rudeus is born because, well, she doesn't have that many opportunities to get out, and Zenith (Paul's wife) is very clearly enthusiastically into whatever he is doing to her. Like, nearly every single freaking night. To the point where Lillia just gets thirsty enough to expose herself to Paul and hopes he takes her up on the offer. It's a complicated situation, where Paul is clearly the asshole. But an asshole who has his reasons for being the way he is, and who came from a family that is actually a lot *worse* than he is because of their power and money giving them impunity over the lives of others (the series does not dwell overly long on their perversions, it just makes clear that they exist and that they are largely a result of power, money, and corruption (or a tacit acknowledgement that **pe culture does indeed exist and is toxic AF) The anime only mentioned that Paul had sexually assaulted Lillia after you find out that Lillia seduced Paul and it's like..... "Wtf? Why would she ever work for him?" But in the light novels they are both presented as being complicated people who have their own motivations for things. But I just want to state again, for emphasis, while it does explain Paul's emotional state and upbringing to provide context it also very, very clearly states that Paul is scum for making those decisions And then the fucking mana disaster happens and just..... Shit was already real but now it's massive refugee crisis real, and at first you think Paul has relapsed into his old ways, until it turns out no, no he in fact has not, he's just slowly losing his mind to alcohol and despair because while he is finding and helping hundreds of people he can't find the only ones important to him, his family. And when it hits Rudeus that he's essentially been goofing off for most of a year when Paul has been working his ass off to reunite families, man, that moment hits *hard* One of the reasons Rudeus thinks Paul has regressed and become a lech is that his right hand assistant is a young woman in bikini armor. I am being 100% real here, she actually has a damn good reason for bikini armor, of all the ridiculous things. The mana disaster left many refugees penniless and lost, easy targets for those with ill intentions. Her sister was one of them. She was abused so badly that now she cannot stand the gaze of men (Male Gaze). So she purposefully wears the most ridiculous revealing outfit she can to draw eyes away from her sister. At first Rudeus, and a lot of mail readers/viewers are thinking the same perverted thoughts, but then it turns into a combination of "No I'm Not Wearing This For You" and the "Male Gaze", and ymmv but imo it was handled well in a way that teaches young men a lesson before they even realize they're being taught something.
50 tea recipes from the duchess is very well researched for something as niche as tea! (Except for the damn corsets, I’m so salty about that. Robe a la francais don’t use corsets!!)
The main reason why dokja is considered as one of, of not the most dangerous member of dokja's company is because he is a menace and a danger to others, including, no I mean especially to himself
This webtoon is incredible. Not just from the plot, and character building but also from the relationships it creates. Javier is fully aware Lloyd isn't the real Lloyd but it doesn't matter because Suho is a better man than Lloyd ever was and that's why he gets to respect him and to an extent accept that even though Lloyd is greedy and still somewhat of an asshole still he has the peoples best interest at heart.
Omniscient Reader = best reverse isekai in Line Webtoon The Greatest Estate Developer = best isekai in Line Webtoon Agreed 💖 I knew you would like TGED too 😆
If you like this series, I think you’ll like trash of a counts family. It expands into both the “old” life (aka Kim rok soo) and his “new” life (aka Cale henutise). We learn why he was isekai’d, his motivations and how he can do what he can. He’s not very strong, he’s actually very lazy, but when it comes to his safety (his family’s as well but he’s a bit shy to admit it lol) and money, you’ll never see a more motivated guy istg. I think the series is called Lout of a counts family now. (Also the art is so good)
hell yeah! Someone that sees it aswell! The series is amazing in portraing the difference in their lives in each world and how they affect each other. It does such a well-done job at expressing the How's and Why's. HIs motivations are well presented but you can see the difference between what he says he wants and what he really wants my man Cale saves 10 kids from imminant danger and dares to say that he's a bad guy...
Yeah, The greatest estate developer is my fav manhwa of all time. Lloyd is just… sometimes you think that he Will do something for others, but after all he does everything just for himself (In a nutschell) and I love him for this! Omniscient reader - I love this as well!
I started reading Estate Developer when it was first released, I thought I’d give it a chance since I thought it was a funny concept but my god did it get the hook, I’ve watched enough isekai and the protagonist being smart and also money hungry made it amazing also the art is stellar not because it beautiful but because it’s hilarious
I like how Lloyd and Javier have a blast at each other's expenses. Lloyd's love life and the cross dressing comes to mind. It's also nice to see the usual fantasy races being re-imagined with orcs being handsome bodybuilders and elves being super burly.
Lloyd's face itself is meme worthy 😂 Also, Trash Of The Count's Family is also on my list for the best isekai/transmigration/regression manhwa. I love TCF so so much. While I admit the writing style is not the usual one would expect from a webnovel, the plot itself and the way author-nim just connects various worlds in itself is honestly magical and phenomenal. The plot and world building is honestly on a level of its own. Some might argue that there's way too much going on but it's chaotic just the way I like it. I also like Cale's interaction with his fam which reminds me a lot of ORV's dynamics(and that's also the reason why I enjoy crossovers between the two). The way Cale is just scared of his overpowered family is hilarious(him being the weakest yet acts as the brain cell of the family). 600 chapters for part 1 of TCF and we're now on 700-ish as part 2 is starting. There are a few chapters with not much action going on as the author tries to drag the chapters around for a bit but for me, Cale's family shenanigans serves as a break after Cale's constant fainting and coughing up blood. So it did well in keeping me loyal to the book through so many chapters(though my experience with ORV certainly helped in me being motivated to binge read 600 chapters of TCF since I started reading it quite late).
I’m legit so glad I picked this webtoon back up, legit went on a binge and finished it in a couple of hours, never failed to make me burst out laughing at least once in each chapter
YESSS!!!!!! I CLICKED AS SOON AS I SAW LLOYD ON THE THUMBNAILLL!!!! I am an engineering student, a manhwa lover, a comedy maniac, and someone who loves money among all things, so this story is really so perfect for me!!!
SSS-class suicide hunter is a great read too, it's a tower genre but inside the tower there are multiple floors and each floors are in different world (or from floor 1-10 is world A, floor 11-20 is world B, ... I kinda forgot...) so there is multiple "isekai" and the story are great and there are some good message that you can get from each arc
well… yeah. he had to leave his world to even get to the tower in the fist place, so technically everyone in the tower isekaied, and we were just viewing their isekai world
LISTEN HERE __________________________________ Was waiting for this one. Everyone. Blow this up. now. if you’re doubting this masterpiece read the first three chapters minimum. then if you still don’t like it then i give you permission to spoil one arc that suits your taste, which, if you don’t understand… this novel has a tad bit of everything. any popular genre it has not covered will surely be introduced in the future. the incorporation of the genres is also very satisfying. such as the martial arts… haha you think i’d tell you right off the bat? If you’re still not hooked, let me tell you, there’s this goblin…. by far my fav character… starts calling the protag his.. other word for dad… WAIT DONT GO it’s actually very wholesome and protag is a very… interesting parental figure. wouldn’t leave my kids alone with him for a second, but dang would they grow fast if i did. the humor is superb and the cringe hits just as you’d expect it too for the cheesy parts, in the best of ways. This is your call.
@@That-_-Guy i can totally agree with your take, the webtoon/novel iis very well put togheter. The various ideas and concepts just work so damn well and, even tho he just commits die in a daily basis he still has the ability to be someone caring to the ones he love (especially to his gf, BY GOD ARE THEY CUTE TOGHETER)
Something i really loved about javier and lloyds relationship is that is feels like they are actual people and best friends to each other (especially as the series goes on). Too often I see these stories (even from acclaimed manwhas) treat the original male lead as nothing more than a obidient dog/ master slave relation ship to our main character. It irks me a lot when the story tries to "set them up as close friends that can rely on each other" because it does not feel that way like these authors just didnt know how to portray a male to male platonic relationship correctly. Javier and Lloyd are not afraid to bash each other and butt heads, they are not afraid to express their thoughts towards one another while still being overall supportive to them. Despite Javier being Lloyds guard he does not bend a knee and cast aside every thought just to follow our mc. Even though Lloyd works him like a dog (cause he can do it all), he never acts like one he acts like a fustrated good willed person. Ultimately though, Javier respects Lloyd after the first 2-3 major arcs because that respect was earned not because our mc saved him "that one time". And likewise even though javier is a swordsmaster that could kill him at any moment (at the start of the series) Lloyd is not afraid to act like the dick he is and work him. Despite him working javier like a dog Lloyd works just as hard as him if not harder because he ultimately respects Javier as a person. Both of them berate the other, laugh at the other's expense, banter, give unneeded sympathy, and most importantly of all support each other out of their own wills and respect for the other. They feel like actual best friends not some weird master/pet relationship masked by the author as a "good friendship". And their banters is genuinally pretty comedic at times I love their interactions with each other. Another thing to point out about this friendship is that you can clearly see each of their personalities slowly melding into the others. Javier later in the manwha starts to become more egotistical and proud of himself (obviously a lesser extent than Lloyd), and Lloyd at the same time starts becoming more openly good-willed than rotten (with good intentions buried inside like it is at the start). Their interactions with each other actively progresses their own characters which is something I love
Yay finally The Greatest Estate Developer is getting recognition !! It’s one of my top five on WEBTOON. Months ago there were barely any mentions of this gem but I’m glad more people know about it
There’s a phenomenal Chinese Web Novel (no webtoon adaptation yet) that’s called Lord of Mysteries. It’s genuinely one of the best fantasy books (including non web novels) that I’ve read. Hands down
@touka I remember The Second Coming of Gluttony being extremely good but I was the first Webnovel I read over 3 years ago so take this recommendation with a grain of salt
Here's some peaks. (not in order) Berserk Vagabond Vinland Saga Monster 20th Century Boys HunterxHunter Devilman: Crybaby Kingdom Metamorphosis/Emergency Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Attack on Titan Bastard Gintama (Its Protagonist is considered equal to Guts writing wise) One Piece Lord of The Mysteries Avatar The Last Airbender The Greatest Estate Developer (It has the best physical comedy in all of manhwa, in my opinion) Boondocks (For having the funniest racist jokes) Revered Insanity Ghost Stories-Dub (Its just fucking golden) Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and more
Reminds me "Release that witch" same stuff. Protagonist went to a body of a well know terrible person. Uses his knowlege from his previous life to greatly improve everyone life style.
Okay, I know this video is fairly a year old now, but I genuinely need to let you know that this video was the sole reason I put this series on my to-read list, and now that I’ve actually read it, I can agree that this is legitimately one of if not the best isekai manhwa/Webtoons I’ve had the pleasure to read. It’s so well-written and -drawn, the comedic timing is impeccable, and it’s FUN. It’s just so fun! Thank you so much for this video and glowing recommendation, I would never have picked up TGED without your review on it and I’m so glad I have! 🖤🖤🖤
Thank you for the recommendation, GED is amazing. Absolutely hilarious, I actually laugh out loud frequently, but at the same time extremely touching at times. Binged everything out so far after this video. Instant subscribe to your channel. Thanks for giving proper reviews of series, so many channels like this basically read the description blurb out loud then offer a sentence or two of their own opinion. I will be watching many more of your videos for other recommendations. I do think you get the MC a little wrong. He is driven by the want for a comfortable life, but he only knows how to do this in a mostly honest way. He doesn't cheat anyone, he looks out for his workers, and he only wants to do a good job. Their might not be a grand hero's inspiration in him, but there is a working class man's goodness.
100% correct, I do wish I could make a better version of the video now that it's getting a little more traction, but I do think I make him seem a little more selfish and bad than he actually is.
This reminds me of the novel/webtoon "Release that witch", where instead of a civil engineer our main protag is a mechanical engineer that got transported into the body of an extremely unpopular prince, and through the help of magical witches in the isekai world, managed to start an industrial revolution and used modern-ish technology to help improve lives of the common folks and defeat those who would want to see him gone. its pretty cool seeing a bunch of medieval knights gawk at the sight of their steel armour being useless against flintlocks and cannons.
@@joshjo9405 Mystery moon is relatable. Nightingale is adorable, because of the gap between her appearance and actual personality Anna just slightly less so, because there's less of a gap.
Started checking it out as soon as you mentioned the name in this video. Halfway through whats currently out there and the interactions between the characters (even with the blue popups) is hilarious. I keep finding myself laughing as I go through it, so much so that my face is slightly sore. Last time I laughed this much was when a character started cooking food that smelled absolutely horrible, just to interrupt people that the mc was ‘competing’ against in a test where if you lose concentration you’re kicked out. The Greatest Real Estate Developer is a lot better than I thought it’d be.
I love the art they use in Greatest Estate Developer lol, they go all in on lloyd’s face in the scenes and his nastiness. After reading it for these months I’ve looked forward to reading it each week. The interactions between Javier and Lloyd is one of the best parts of the story. Recently there was a scene where a mage was standing in the place performing a spell with protection cus he needed to stay still. They had great art for that scene it was exaggerated in a great way as lloyd dug the ground around the wizard, and use a small breath to knock him over. Really enjoyed it
Thanks for the recommendation! I’m 100% reading it By the way, just dropping a recommendation in case you haven’t read yet Trash of the Count’s Family It’s considered one of the “Holy Trinity” of Korean novels (together with ORV and The S Classes that I Raised) and the adaptation is actually pretty good too You should give it a try
so you're talking about the Holy "I promise i won't Sacrifice/Hurt Myself this time" Trinity huh? They are all so good istg, i still need to read The S Classes that I Raised novel, the other two are so damn good
Man, I remember back in the old days where the big three were tower of god, god of highschool and noblesse. the Manhua industry has changed quick- idk whether for the better or worse lol
The comedy of this comic is IMMACULATE istg, Like the momenti thouht it was a touching moment of the 2 bonding they started fighting like 1 panel later its just funny af
Before I avodied isekai's due to seeing them as 'cheating' due to them living in another's body. But after reading this one and many others I started to just have fun with them, I also love it when a character misses their old world, it feels a little more realistic, as most people who leave a tech world to a non tech world will miss the internet etc. or family and friends.......
there are many great isekais, check out this ones if you want something new: doctor's rebirth: a doctor dies and get reborn in an shianshia novel, he becomes a medical martial artist, also, he uses alot of real medical procedures alongside his ma powers. death is the only ending for the villainess: girl wakes up in the body of the "challenge run" character, thing is, the world still follow the rules of the visual novel game she is in. ending maker: a couple of top players in the server wakes up in the body of 2 of its playable characters, but because the world of the game is fckd, they decide to unite and change it into a good ending. ernak: guy wakes up a few years before the world o the game he is in "starts the main story" so he decides to have fun, until he discovers one of the main support cast has died because, the world didnt have the players to help him in the quest, which means there's noone there to defeat the big bad later(its an mmo in the same style as wow, in which your character is just a support for the main heroes of the story). mairimashita! iruma-kun: a normal kid gets sold to a demon who adopts him and enlist him into a demon school, but he cant tell others that he is actually human. konjiki no moji tsukai:a group of students gets transported to another world, each gets a mark of power, the mc was not planned, so he decides to leave the country and roam around and ends up helping people in need. queen cecia's shorts: clothing designer student wakes up in a medieval-esque world, and manage to grow in life by using her understanding of designs to create new and revolutionary clothes. the red ranger becomes an adventurer in another world: the red ranger dies in the final battle and ends up in a fantasy world, where he ends up becoming an adventurer using his super sentai powers and equipment(and yes, even that).
no one talks about the ‘goofy’ one with a human with a unique ‘talent’ from earth gets isekai-ed with armoured truck he was captured in. and the secondary main character was someone the main character ‘got payback’ for betraying him who reincarnated into the world they briefly occupied with their former body. the webtoon has three people who were isekaied and someone who regressed ‘being’ the stereotypical hero kind of character. fun fact the moment that hero characters canonical plot armour gets broken by him breaking vows he made in order to recieve a blessing of sorts due to the manipulative and cunning nature of the two main characters he gets immediately killed by his ‘brother’ and secondary main. its cool and thats about it. also has some psychological horror-esque moments from the perspective of ‘people who know’ and the ‘monsters’ that inhabit the world.
kill the villainess is similar to what u're describing in ur comment. mc desperately wants to go back to her world, so she tries killing herself over and over but it never works since "the will of the world" is preventing her from doing that. so she works w/ a witch to help her get back to her world and so the only way she could go back is if she follows what the og villainess did in the novel, which is, stabbing the female lead of the novel itself. and then blablaaa i forgot how the story goes from there since its been a long time since ive read it (due to me waiting for a better translation for the s2 of the manhwa). but anywags CHRCK IT OUT!! its pretty good imo
As a huge Isekai fan and civil engineering student, thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to my favourite thing on on Webtoons second only to Moon You and Tower of God
I didn't get halfway through this video before I opened up Webtoon and started reading this and oh me oh my did this knock my expectations out of the park. Tbh you undersold how good this webcomic was by not mentioning how funny the main character is with his greed alone. (spoilers) I will literally never get over Suho telling that one guy that it wasn't a joke anymore that he could work all 500+ years to pay off his debts and his face after Lloyd told him to smile.
I haven’t read these isekai yet but def will check them out when I have time! On the other hand I can go on about the romance/royalty isekai from webtoon and other platforms for hours!
4:37 I was completely convinced to read this webtoon this afternoon 3pm and it has been 5 hours since then of enjoying a this cool webtoon. I have read 70 chapters. Thank you for this video otherwise I would not have such a great laugh.
This series reminds me a lot to Trash of the Count's Family, thought that one goes the omniscient reader's route on the mc's growth but the mc is quite similar, only read the novel so don't know if the webtoon is good but you should check it out if you liked this one
Sounds a lot like TRASH OF THE COUNT'S FAMILY. The MC (Choi Han, an Isekai MC of the og novel) Hayes the new MC (Cake Henituse, an antagonist, but the main villain of the og novel who Choi Han killed). Their friendship blossomed as Cale began to reach out to him, hoping he won't die. Cale Henituse or should I say Kim Rok-Soo came from apocalyptic Korea but Choi Han didn't. A lot happens and that's why for me, FOR ME, it's the BEST ISEKAI. It's also both character and plot driven.
On the point about the person they were before they became that person another webtoon I really enjoyed is “from a knight to a lady” it’s a romance and not an isekai, the main character becomes someone in the same world but a large part of the series is the main character trying to figure out how to live as a new person with a new identity, instead of being on the front lines of the war she is now a frail noble lady with no one to fall back on since the kingdom she used to be in lost the war
i couldnt stand that one, for the simple fact that she just devolves into a completely useless character. she was supposed to be this incredibly powerful knight, but then, she wakes up in the frail body of a noble, and that's what she really becomes. i really tried giving that one a shot. but the simple fact the story actualy wants us to think the guy who killed her and betrayed their country as a love interest is just idiotic.
@@marcosdheleno It takes a minimum of 14 years of training to become a knight. She has the knowledge, but She'd need to spend years of constant training reach the physical requirements needed for knighthood.
I read the Greatest state developer as soon as it was released, I got hooked almost immediately it is understandable for you to praise it and the series deserves it, also the faces Lloyd make and reactions are funny on thier own and the fact that the ladies dig Javier and mistakes him for Lloyd and the way they tease each other and stay friends and close throug all hardships is uplifting, I m currently waiting for the latest chapter of manhwa if any one knows where to find the translated web novel please tell me
I immediately clicked when I saw this. TGED is one of my fav webtoons, so much I even made a discord for it! Villain to kill and the greatest estate developer are so underrated and you made a video of both of them, thank you!!
8:29 I did not expect to see a clip from dimension 20 but go on And if people are wondering about the context that quote was in reference to a house (faction) like in Harry Potter Slytherin, the fact they have a houses for good, bad, smart, and not defined enough to be put in those houses I'm sure in the books they probably go more in-depth but to those who only saw the movies or have the faintest idea of Harry Potter that's probably how it's seen
Glad we have the same tastes! The first webtoon RUclipsr I’m giving a shot, my favorite is omniscient reader as well (read the novel) but I give all webtoon of similar genres a shot. The greatest estate developer lights up my weekends. Glad you enjoyed it as well!
"The Greatest Estate Developer" is a really great 'into the book' isekai that I've been enjoying and Lloyd's attitude is absolutely hilarious. But the one I absolutely love is "Trash of the Count's Family" that has a similar 'isekai'd into the book' plot.
Just read it up to the most recent chapter in one sitting, I'd have to say it really is good, they also have the MC use their own skills in the previous world, They are what they can call neutral chaotic type of person which seems to be my type of thing besides the stereotypical good person.
Lloyd antics damn near gave me a hernia. I was laughing so hard I legit almost cried when Javier went under cover in a fecking dress and all the men were lusting after his ass 🤣🤣🤣
I love all the ugly drawings!!! And the funny negotiation scenes haha This webtoon made my laugh out loud numerous times, not a normal chuckle, like cry laughing
Having read through the novel of the omniscient reader (Don't worry, no spoilers here), it is certainly one hell of a journey. Hope it gets published to the very end. From the plot, to the plot twists, to the emotional aspects will be a joy to see in illustration. P.S Uriel best girl
I agree to 99% with your opinion! It is so interesting to read this manwha. I read so much as well, so it is a nice and funny series. Suho has such an fascinating character and that makes it more relatable. You describe this very well. Good job and great summary video. :)
one of my favourite webtoons is the one where the main character describes ‘himself’ as having a ‘talent’ for eating. psychological horror ensues. also they have both the ‘power system’ of earth and the world the high security van the main character was or would be temporarily entrapped within. :)
If you want story like the greatest estate developer, I would recommend “Release that witch”. There, protagonist who is also an engineer takes a place of a good for nothing prince Roland of GreyCastle kingdom sent to the Border Town as a part of inheritance choosing. He has no idea of the world. Nobody in the town likes him except a few assistants from the capital loyal to the king. In winter everybody leaves the town to take cover from demonic beasts in the fortress. And the king was killed so war for the throne starts. But one spared witch sparks hope and new plan in Roland. Also he managed to construct planes and a nuke
After your video, I went and read The Greatest Estate Developer. You were so right, it's amazing. I never laughed that much reading a WT. "Your royal wallet"
ORV is strange, the entire story, all the way to the end is kind of riddled with imperfections, but it's still so great. It's also interesting that orv and world after the fall are often grouped together, the only thing they have in common is the author, and the apocalypse, but I don't think most people know about the former part.
Wow! Thank you for featuring "The Greatest Estate Developer" one of my webtoon comics. I love it and it's so heartwarming that other people love this too
My favorite isekai is actually a western novel series "Destiny's Crucible" series by Olan Thorensen. The first book title "Cast under an alien sun" already gives away that it is not you average fantasy isekai, but rather a scifi novel, where the MC is adducted by aliens and thrown on a plant that also happens to contain humans, who are roughly in the 18th century. And he is a super genius chemist. Add expanding empires and gun-powder warfare and you have one hell of a read. It also manages to really get the science and warfare right, really showing that the author knows his stuff. I highly recommend it. ^^
I binged this series before I saw this video but I will say that the image that the webtoon presents itself is so much less than what it holds as an actual story that I love to read
Another recommendation especially if you like the "not so ideal personality" protagonist is "The Golden Haired Elementalist". The main point is the personality of the protagonist and how she reacts to others around her. She is such a breath of fresh air compared to many of the heavily romance isekai female protagonists that have been coming out recently. She is lazy, narcissistic, vulgar, and ungrateful, which makes her so much more fun to watch.
I think why lloyd stands out is becuase how he can be funny and choke us reader out of laughing yet he can make us feel sadness too, while I laugh to death I cried really hard when their family paid off the debts, it was really sad but on the next chps the author makes that sadness disapear like poof! Annd after that the sad part comes in and goes like poof, while it is a comedy genre it has many meanings of life.
Also the faces. We can talk for hours about how it's plot and how it handles things is amazing, but what keeps everyone sticking to it is mostly the dumb expressions pretty much everyone (but mostly Lloyd) makes
You guys should definitely check out The Trash (or Lout) of the Counts Family! It has a similar starting premise but more like omniscient reader in a sort of way

As someone who has read a lot of reincarnation xianxia manhuas I was suprised that you were suprised by the backstory of Lloyd. Its a really common trope to have a shitty "young master" getting replaced by the mc. However this particular series really shines with the direction it takes after and its amazing comedy.
If you like Isekais with strong protagonists who redeem themselves and have almost no freaking clue about the future... then I recommend my favourite story of all time: The second Coming of Gluttony. After dabbling in the genre with his previous work MEMORIZE, the author made sth so good that I literally could not stop reading and wanted more after finishing it. Mind you, I recommend the light novel version over the comic but both have their strengths and weaknesses. The comic has a drastic change in s2 due to the change in the artist and it is rather easy to get lost cause they skip a bit of things and throw you in the middle of arcs sometimes. But the s2 art is just fantastic and worth every minute of previous confusion. Light novel just flushes out everything much more and gives the context where needed, as it always does. But yeah read it and get inspired by the main character and his obsession with becoming stronger (the balance between him winning and losing is just so well done, every W is earned, every L has a reason). Also the supporting characters are great. Be ready for some Game of Thrones moments though. There are a lot of fucked up things that will happen there. There are technically 2 endings. One cute and wholesome, second is crazy and wholesome at the end of all the bonus chapters (honestly the first one is much more fleshed out, the second is... well a bit rushed and unnecessary).
I love seeing all the Isekais where the main character just has an _absurd_ amount of knowledge in ONE particular field, and while they may not be good at magic or fighting, BOY are they good at making paper, pens, and full books from scratch! XD
I really love how he is written as the sort of mild sociopath protagonists of isekai webtoons, but the point is nobody acknowledges him, his sidekick is overpowered and far more attractive looking and he makes the best psycho faces. He is perfect really.
Lloyd's faces has 100% meme potential at every panel, that already makes it good.

LLoyd just has knowledge but the queen is the actual social genius despite the handicap that Lloyd has some idea of the future but she does not

But an asshole who has his reasons for being the way he is, and who came from a family that is actually a lot *worse* than he is because of their power and money giving them impunity over the lives of others (the series does not dwell overly long on their perversions, it just makes clear that they exist and that they are largely a result of power, money, and corruption (or a tacit acknowledgement that **pe culture does indeed exist and is toxic AF)
The anime only mentioned that Paul had sexually assaulted Lillia after you find out that Lillia seduced Paul and it's like..... "Wtf? Why would she ever work for him?" But in the light novels they are both presented as being complicated people who have their own motivations for things. But I just want to state again, for emphasis, while it does explain Paul's emotional state and upbringing to provide context it also very, very clearly states that Paul is scum for making those decisions
And then the fucking mana disaster happens and just..... And when it hits Rudeus that he's essentially been goofing off for most of a year when Paul has been working his ass off to reunite families, man, that moment hits *hard*
One of the reasons Rudeus thinks Paul has regressed and become a lech is that his right hand assistant is a young woman in bikini armor.

HIs motivations are well presented but you can see the difference between what he says he wants and what he really wants
my man Cale saves 10 kids from imminant danger and dares to say that he's a bad guy...
@Just a guy that likes to offend people and this is the best part! Only cool shit all the way
I love how Cale wants to live a chill life but hes so good at leading he keeps getting more responsibilities put on him.

The comedy is also amazing. The faces he makes are meme-worthy and hilarious!
Can you even consider it as an isekai? When the protag just killed himself to turn back time xD
well… yeah. he had to leave his world to even get to the tower in the fist place, so technically everyone in the tower isekaied, and we were just viewing their isekai world

If you’re still not hooked, let me tell you, there’s this goblin…. by far my fav character… starts calling the protag his.. other word for dad… WAIT DONT GO
it’s actually very wholesome and protag is a very… interesting parental figure. wouldn’t leave my kids alone with him for a second, but dang would they grow fast if i did. the humor is superb and the cringe hits just as you’d expect it too for the cheesy parts, in the best of ways.
It's wonderful, made me cry twice

Before I avodied isekai's due to seeing them as 'cheating' due to them living in another's body. But after reading this one and many others I started to just have fun with them, I also love it when a character misses their old world, it feels a little more realistic, as most people who leave a tech world to a non tech world will miss the internet etc. or family and friends.......
there are many great isekais, check out this ones if you want something new:
doctor's rebirth: a doctor dies and get reborn in an shianshia novel, he becomes a medical martial artist, also, he uses alot of real medical procedures alongside his ma powers.
death is the only ending for the villainess: girl wakes up in the body of the "challenge run" character, thing is, the world still follow the rules of the visual novel game she is in.
ending maker: a couple of top players in the server wakes up in the body of 2 of its playable characters, but because the world of the game is fckd, they decide to unite and change it into a good ending.
ernak: guy wakes up a few years before the world o the game he is in "starts the main story" so he decides to have fun, until he discovers one of the main support cast has died because, the world didnt have the players to help him in the quest, which means there's noone there to defeat the big bad later(its an mmo in the same style as wow, in which your character is just a support for the main heroes of the story).
mairimashita! iruma-kun: a normal kid gets sold to a demon who adopts him and enlist him into a demon school, but he cant tell others that he is actually human.
konjiki no moji tsukai:a group of students gets transported to another world, each gets a mark of power, the mc was not planned, so he decides to leave the country and roam around and ends up helping people in need.
queen cecia's shorts: clothing designer student wakes up in a medieval-esque world, and manage to grow in life by using her understanding of designs to create new and revolutionary clothes.
the red ranger becomes an adventurer in another world: the red ranger dies in the final battle and ends up in a fantasy world, where he ends up becoming an adventurer using his super sentai powers and equipment(and yes, even that).
no one talks about the ‘goofy’ one with a human with a unique ‘talent’ from earth gets isekai-ed with armoured truck he was captured in. and the secondary main character was someone the main character ‘got payback’ for betraying him who reincarnated into the world they briefly occupied with their former body. the webtoon has three people who were isekaied and someone who regressed ‘being’ the stereotypical hero kind of character. fun fact the moment that hero characters canonical plot armour gets broken by him breaking vows he made in order to recieve a blessing of sorts due to the manipulative and cunning nature of the two main characters he gets immediately killed by his ‘brother’ and secondary main. its cool and thats about it. also has some psychological horror-esque moments from the perspective of ‘people who know’ and the ‘monsters’ that inhabit the world.

mc desperately wants to go back to her world, so she tries killing herself over and over but it never works since "the will of the world" is preventing her from doing that. so she works w/ a witch to help her get back to her world and so the only way she could go back is if she follows what the og villainess did in the novel, which is, stabbing the female lead of the novel itself. and then blablaaa i forgot how the story goes from there since its been a long time since ive read it (due to me waiting for a better translation for the s2 of the manhwa). but anywags CHRCK IT OUT!! its pretty good imo
Kim Suho and Javier is an underrated Bromance Duo
I recognize that brown coat and shovel! I agree, this webtoon is amazing!!
As a huge Isekai fan and civil engineering student, thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to my favourite thing on on Webtoons second only to Moon You and Tower of God
Im so mad i cant understand why they didnt make an anime out of this its so popular and so good....
How I wish to find something as funny and good as this in the future
(pls recommend serie's like this)
4:37 I was completely convinced to read this webtoon this afternoon 3pm and it has been 5 hours since then of enjoying a this cool webtoon.
On the point about the person they were before they became that person another webtoon I really enjoyed is “from a knight to a lady” it’s a romance and not an isekai, the main character becomes someone in the same world but a large part of the series is the main character trying to figure out how to live as a new person with a new identity, instead of being on the front lines of the war she is now a frail noble lady with no one to fall back on since the kingdom she used to be in lost the war
i couldnt stand that one, for the simple fact that she just devolves into a completely useless character. she was supposed to be this incredibly powerful knight, but then, she wakes up in the frail body of a noble, and that's what she really becomes.
i really tried giving that one a shot. but the simple fact the story actualy wants us to think the guy who killed her and betrayed their country as a love interest is just idiotic.
title of that manhwa?
@@balalaika1173 “from a knight to a lady”
@@marcosdheleno It takes a minimum of 14 years of training to become a knight. She has the knowledge, but She'd need to spend years of constant training reach the physical requirements needed for knighthood.
this one is currently my favorite.. the mc's facial expressions are total hilarious..
The faces he make when playing evil is just great
8:29 I did not expect to see a clip from dimension 20 but go on
And if people are wondering about the context that quote was in reference to a house (faction) like in Harry Potter Slytherin, the fact they have a houses for good, bad, smart, and not defined enough to be put in those houses
I'm sure in the books they probably go more in-depth but to those who only saw the movies or have the faintest idea of Harry Potter that's probably how it's seen
GOAT HOUSE
I love this!! Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Trash of Count’s Family, and Praise the Orc!(even if this one doesn’t have mawnha yet…).
How did you go through this whole video without mentioning the comedy. This manga/manhwa is SO funny.
I love reading Trash of the Count's Family (LN). This seems to be similar but different. Gonna give it a shot!
Just read it up to the most recent chapter in one sitting, I'd have to say it really is good, they also have the MC use their own skills in the previous world, They are what they can call neutral chaotic type of person which seems to be my type of thing besides the stereotypical good person.
i like how the mc of the great estate developer change his face into titan time to time in the webtoon
I've been reading the greatest estate dev for almost the start , I've been loving every second if it and read it multiple times
Lloyd antics damn near gave me a hernia. I was laughing so hard I legit almost cried when Javier went under cover in a fecking dress and all the men were lusting after his ass 🤣🤣🤣
I love all the ugly drawings!!! And the funny negotiation scenes haha
This webtoon made my laugh out loud numerous times, not a normal chuckle, like cry laughing
The faces from the greatest estate developer are hilarious.
I haven't had a good laugh in a long time. Really recommend it.
"Fff-Class Trashero"
It's a gag on the whole isekai / reverse-isekai genre and a good one at that
Agreed 1000%
When I found 'The Greatest Estate Developer' I instantly fell in love, and it became one of my Top 5!
What are ur other 4? I am running out of good manhwas. The ones that are left are just reused and rebranded stuffs
i love how loyd banters with the system, and how said system occasionally gets fed up with the nonsense he causes
I TOTALLY AGREE ! I’m hyped up since the start and I am glad that you give it some great reviews 😊
I love it and it's so heartwarming that other people love this too
I will recommend it to because The comedy, The FACIAL EXPRESSIONS , are goddamn funny🤣🤣🤣
That Brennan Lee mulligan shot from misfits and magic knocked me out and now I must read this series❤
I can't believe i found someone talking about this comic! I really love it
This comic is the funniest manhwa i've ever read so i think it's really something
Finally someone is talking about this webtoon. I’ve been following it since the start and I love it!
Y'all should read "i became the tyrant of a defense game" it's very bloody and pulled no punches, imo top 10 in webtoon
Once you read the the greatest estate developer THE FACES ON MC IS GOD DAMN WELL ART FR
orv: best story
the greatest estate developer: funniest
i love it when Lloyd smiles. profits first, morality second.
the faces always either hype me up or crack me up lol
I absolutely love The Greatest Estate Designer, I hope more stories show up similar to it
I think why lloyd stands out is becuase how he can be funny and choke us reader out of laughing yet he can make us feel sadness too, while I laugh to death I cried really hard when their family paid off the debts, it was really sad but on the next chps the author makes that sadness disapear like poof! Annd after that the sad part comes in and goes like poof, while it is a comedy genre it has many meanings of life.
correct and they have the best evil smiles and has alot of pfp potential
Farming, is the most overpowered power you can get.
It has a similar starting premise but more like omniscient reader in a sort of way
The fact that you cover this webtoon in this channel really make me happy Thanks~ ❤
Estate developer is my favorite non-Murim isekai currently.
The Greatest Estate Developer is the funniest shit I've read so far. I love the protagonist and his interactions with the characters lmaoo
RUclips suggested your video, i clicked on it by mistake, went like "eh i'll watch it", enjoyed the video, got interested in the webtoon, spent the whole night reading it, had been a long time i didn't thoroughly enjoy a webtoon this much
got a like and a subscribe
thank you for the video(s)
I LOVE this manhwa as well! but there is one kinda like it but different as well! Please try out the "trash of the Count's family"
The Greatest Estate Developer and Murin Login are my two favorite stories out there.
Money seems to be Lloyd's love language.
