Her disappearance is likely someone having trailed her from the tents; the other persons on site. People are more evil than any bigfoot or other such legends ever could be. Her father not going with her on the hike is odd; to have no safety concerns for one's daughter going off into the wilderness, not knowing who may see her and know she was alone, is just unthinkable, I cannot comprehend that.
As a photographer, the key element here is that lens cap, or cover. That is the one thing that has bothered me since I first heard about this case. Even a young person with a camera would know that the lens cap was missing and probably try to find it. Other reports of this case indicate that the body of water she wanted to photograph was very close by, so it is highly doubtful she set off to hike to the other, farther away lakes. The last person to see her and communicate with her was the older gentleman. He reportedly saw her pass behind the trees and that was the last anyone saw of her. The only clue is that lens cap. Think about that. A lens cap does not just drop off a camera. It needs to be physically removed, OR, some type of physical force needs to be applied to cause it to fall off. (I have different lenses with my camera, and, unless I apply pressure to remove the covers, they do not come off). So, that being said, why was just a lens cap the only evidence found in her disappearance? That does not make sense, yet I believe it is the crucial piece of evidence. This brings us back to those search dogs. Search dogs would have picked up her scent and followed it until they lost it. Where do search dogs lose the scent? Bodies of water. IF the girl had decided to hike to the further lakes, the dogs would have followed the scent. Those lakes would have been searched. There are numerous cases that David Paulides talk about where search dogs simply refuse to follow a scent beyond a certain point, because of one of two things: The scent inexplicably stops mid trail, or, because the dogs display fear and refuse to go any further.
Michael Lonergan very good points and there's much proof that sasquatch can smell the scent of a woman/ girl menstruating for miles just like animals can. These Rangers and government officials have been covering this factor up forever. My bet is Bigfoot not aliens. It would be interesting to find out if she was on her menstrual cycle.
I have no idea why anyone would let their 14 yr old daughter walk alone in a place with wild animals anyway. Plus- never hike alone. This one is baffling.
One thing I truly appreciate about your video series, Rusty, is that you come across as interested in knowing what happened, and you don't engage in wild or lurid speculation or prurient approaches to the way you tell each story. There is an appropriate and respectful impartiality that you bring to each case. This is why I keep watching.
That was a very touching tribute, Rusty. Can you imagine how her dad must have felt after declining to accompany Stacey. I don't know how the fact the scent dog were clueless can be explained.
Don’t forget they had horses along too. If she was taken by a bear or big cat anywhere near camp those horses would have alerted. I wonder if anyone remembers their behavior. These same fact could be confusing to the dogs though as the horse she rode may also still carry her scent- it could skew results especially if the used something he rode in on for the sniff sample. The dogs may have been looking for the human/horse combo instead. Just a thought.
Heard David Paulides say he had requested this file from the Parks Service and was told there was no way he would ever see it.....very strange indeed. Something being covered up for sure.
Remember also that she asked her dad if he wanted to accompany her. Also, the older gentleman apparently had considered walking to the lake with her but was too tired. IMO... running away is not one of the most reasonable options.
I was there that day. I went on a hike to Clouds Rest from Tenaya Lake. When I returned there was activity going on with a helicopter. I asked the ranger what was going on and he told me they were looking for a lost girl. I did not notice anything out of the ordinary going to Clouds Rest and going back.
This is a wonderful way to bring more attention to these cases and hopefully shake loose more information from someone who may not have realized they could help.
@@mr_fnh Firearms. psshh So Mainstream. Honestly though what's up, you gonna shoot somebody? ... or are you one of those "for defense" kind of guys? What does a gun say about a person? What does a gun say about you? ... What are you without that gun? What do you think the idiots in America will think about seeing a person using a gun to identify themselves or their presence in the world, on youtube, or with a bumpersticker, etc? You think it's responsible to sensationalize a tool we have created to kill human beings (pistol)? Do you think it sends a clear message to others about your place in the society that they pay MONEY to participate in, alongside people like yourself, without any choice? ... Be Responsible with your Gun there Mr. Gun, and please don't give idiots ANOTHER excuse to try to take my rights away.
If she was having suicidal thoughts or was thinking about running away with her boyfriend, she wouldn't have invited her father to come with her. I'm glad you omitted that option.
What bothers me more about these cases than anything else is the lack of open and transparent centralized record keeping. There should be a single location where all relevant information about the case, including the names and addresses of all witnesses, park personnel, and others can be obtained. Also, FOIA's should be granted without cost to the requester.
Such a tragic story. Can't even let a 14yr old girl walk alone in the woods for 2miles by herself without this happening... I hope the parents can recover from this event.
Here are my thoughts on her disappearance. She walked to the lake to get photos. See those willow shrubs surrounding the lake? The dark green patches? She walked into them. They were over the height of her head and she disappeared out of observers sight. She never made it past them. They are growing out of a sphagnum bog that lies on the edge of and over part of the lake. Walking on a sphagnum bog is like walking on a waterbed. You may not realize it; but you are walking over water on a floating mat of vegetation. You can fall through and drown. I would bet she is still there under that mat of shrubs. Because of the acidity of the bog, her body may be fairly well preserved.
There was a naturalist named Terrence Shortt who worked for the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto years ago. While on a field trip to Northern Ontario, he fell through a lakeside bog into water over his head and was only able to get out with great difficulty. He feared he was going to drown there. He was by himself at the time. If you look at the first photo you can see that the lake was much bigger and is slowly filling in with vegetation and will become a meadow someday.
If that was what happened to the girl, seems like she would've screamed and yelled for help before finally drowning. I know I would have..............and there was a person nearby who would have heard her.
I will add that she may not have surfaced after falling through as she may have been entangled in the roots of the Willows and may not have been able to get through them to surface.
David paulides talks about a case on coast to coast radio where a women was hiking alone a 5 men tried to kidnap her she fought back and escaped them evaded them for a couple of day's she had to ditch her backpack and evade them by hiding in tree's behind bolders! She did get away and tell her story but it makes you think!!
Thank you Rusty. Your video had quite a lot more information than I’ve ever seen on Stacy. There are many more factors to consider than previously thought. It’s a wonderful idea to investigate case by case. I have tried to find more information on different individuals as they were brought to my attention by your video or other missing people sources. Keep up the good work.
If there were any leads the National Park Service would not be willing to share them. Dave Paulides tried to get a copy of the report on this incident and the Park Service refused to give it up, even in the face of a Freedom of Information Act request. Someone might know what happened to her, but for some reason they aren't talking. We are living in a time when few people are willing to do the right thing.
Greg H People have never been that willing to do the right thing we've just been brainwashed by tv to think nothing bad ever haopens cause the good guys always win. In the real world that rarely happens
I guess that is true, but when I grew up in the 60's and 70's my parents instilled in me many values, including respecting authority, other people and their property. Also, even though the right thing is not always black and white or an easy decision, I was taught to be honest and try and do the right thing. I'm not perfect and admit I have fallen short a few times, but those are goals I still try to live up to. Too bad our political leaders have been bought and paid for by the corrupt among us.
Rusty..when i watch these superb videos..it leaves me with a sick feeling..wondering what hell these people went thru..what happened to them..what misery and fear did they suffer..and what really happened..and that we will never know..so any info or extended information..especially presented by you..i always welcome to view and consider...
I truly believe that Stacy was a victim of foul play. According to 411 author the NPS has refused to release any records about her disappearance. If this is true, then why would they care after all this time?
One of the strangest aspects of this sad case was the allegation made by the park service to David Paulides that no crime was believed to have been committed. What did that mean, exactly? Why did they apparently refuse to consider that? If they did know a crime as defined by the penal code didn't happen, then what *did* happen? Even if a common phenomenon is behind a large portion of these cases, it would appear that if the park service has an inkling of what's actually going on, it seems to be something they cannot prevent.
People scoff, but we cannot dismiss the possibility of otherworldly visitation, and the collecting of people for God knows what...and walking by the lake is an area that they appear to visit quite often, with numerous sightings happening in, and around bodies of water.
Ben Nero I agree. It is becoming clear that there is a phenomenon that some NPS workers and all of the higher ups are aware of. This undisclosed activity is either very weird or so outside of what we believe to be ‘normal’ that at this point in time its disclosure is simply not on the table for the authorities. One thing that would help in my humble opinion would be to isolate the clusters like as David Paulides has, and get some petitions going to make the visitors to those areas aware of these facts and that they are entering an area where many have gone missing in the past. Kind of like the sign you see before climbing Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, telling you 14 people have fallen to their death here since 2003. Most will continue but the awareness will be heightened. In Stacy’s case, there are only so many places she could have gone in such a short period of time. If we’re being real, it’s not under a bush or rock as the scent would have lead the dogs to her no problem. It has to be either way up or way down. Thoughts?
I can't express in words how excited I am for these new category of videos. You're the man, Rusty. May your channel grow and grow! You sure deserve it.
The most troubling aspect of this case that after reviewing the scant evidence that is available, is the fact that a Father allowed a 14 year old city girl to wander a wilderness area without escort..... Its especially troubling when you consider that it was apparently ok if she hiked alone, up to 3.5 miles from camp! This is not something that THIS FATHER would do under ANY circumstances and I raised my son tent camping in remote forests of the pacific NW..... We hunt bear, deer small game...Fish, canoe trek.... and not once would I ever have allowed him out of my immediate area of control without escort and that would have been "capable" escort at that! Even now, that my son is a grown Man, I do not like the idea of him going into remote forest areas without my oversight. I know what is out there.... For a Father to have allowed his 14 year old city kid Daughter to go off that far from camp and other known campers alone is very disconcerting.... Where was his natural instincts to protect his daughter? Shouldn't they have been tearing at his heart as she walked away into the wilderness as he knew she was alone out there and shouldn't he have known as most any man would, that there are dangers in that? I suspect this Father and feel strongly that he, at the very least, failed his Daughter and could have prevented this if he was any kind of Man or any kind of Father!
I heard that it was only a few hundred yards. I didn't hear Mr. Paul ides say anything about 3.5 miles. if it indeed was 3.5 miles, I agree with you. although it won't fix anything and I'm sure the dad feels like crap already.
In my opinion this case, Trenny Gibson, Dennis Martin and Carl Landers case baffled me the most... these people literally vanished off the face of the earth in seconds and in close proximity to other people...no sound, no blood...nothing. It has to be a paranormal cause...
Great video, really like this format of video and giving this level of detail. You always deal with the stories with sensitivity. Such a shame a young person with everything ahead of them lost in that way
God bless you, Rusty..truly a sad case among many, unfortunately. You have a heart of gold, and I pray for the countless missing and lost, as well as for their loved ones..keep up the great work..
Teens aren't stupid, Missy. That is quite an arbitrary supposition to make. Needless to say, the evidence certainly doesn't support any contention that she ran away on her own volition. We have no idea how smart she was or wasn't; we simply know that it's not likely, based on the available evidence, that she did not seem like the type to run away, let alone permanently breaking all contact with her family for the rest of their lives.
Ben Nero I didn't mean to imply that teens are "stupid", just that , for the most part, they aren't "wise in the ways of the world ", more from lack of life experience than anything .
Thanks for this closer look at her case. The haunting old newspaper photo of her shown in this video makes this story even more alluring. This camping experience should have been a lifelong pleasant teenage memory for her. A pleasant memory for her parents. A lens cap found at the treeline she moved out of sight at. An unknown group of people who were also in the area at the time. I think the camera lens suggests a quick grab of the camera out of her hands while being attacked and abducted by whom ever met her at that point. The so called "unknown group" may have been involved. Another suspect should be the "shadow government". I just sense that these victims are somehow removed from the area undetected, and that this is why no evidence is found during the search efforts.
I honestly think these people are never found because there taken underground or something relevant to that. Maybe that's why dogs can't pick up a scent. Multiples entrances could be hidden throughout the park and made well to blend in. And only those that created it would know of it. Maybe this is why there are clusters in specific areas of one park to another. Maybe whatever it is uses underground tunnel systems to navigate much quicker maybe that's why adults and more Bizarrely children as young as 2 end up miles away in such a short span of time. Idk this is just my logical theory although nothing about these cases are logical. When you rule out animals , criminals , and accidental reasons as to the cause what are you even left with ?? Something is happening and we don't understand it because it's beyond the realm of realistic possibility.
Louis Marez oh ya I'm familiar with them , have you also heard of the genowaska , sasquach like creature that is covered in dried up mud that acts as armor for them. They are very aggressive and it said by Indians it used to take their children as well as their women and eat them. Many unsolved and mysterious disappearances until they found the source which was these creatures high up in the mountains their fire gave up there position. Over the years I believe they either learned to live without it , or that they live and do everything underground. Which would back up my theory if true. Kidnapping of children and others as they did many years ago but except for high mountains their activity takes place underground in deep caves and what not.
Robert Saravia ! There’s another plausible theory and that being these creatures are Aliens in disguise or simply put Demons in Disguise ! I didn’t accept it as fact until I opened my mind watch the movie/documentary called “ The Fourth Kind “ it tells the story of two Doctors who went through hell and that and my faith in God doesn’t leave any reasonable doubt ! ! !
I agree, also if you compare a map of cave systems with the Missing 411 clusters it's always a perfect match. Places like the Mid West are plains, have no caves, and no Missing 411 cases. The most common places like Yosemite are mountainous. It also relates to the presence of boulders. Incidentally, if Bigfoot were shown to exist and inhabit caves, it would go a long way towards explaining why they're seldom seen.
Robert Saravia ! - Yes i agree but consider the following........ ? What if the ones that are disappearing are either being taken down or up meaning underground caverns, tunnels whatever Or taken from above ? Hence no smell for the dogs to track leaving few alternative methods for the abductions taking place as we speak ! !
Never walk close to the edge of the lake, or any body of water, because there are empty pockets of land, you think the ground is solid but it is not and water is under the fake land. You walk and before you know it you are under water.
I’m English and in the UK we have no mountain lions, bears, wolves, deadly venomous snakes wandering around in the wild. The thought of allowing my 12 yr old daughter to wander off on her own, out of sight for quite some time, into a wilderness that contains those deadly animals would be so alien to my thinking that it’s staggering to think that it actually happens in such a casual manner. Ask any Brit if he would go hiking or sleep in a tent in the woods where bears, snakes, wolves and panthers were wandering about and l don’t think many would answer in the affirmative. It’s simply terrifying to me. I do admire your courage but think your confidence in your own safety is flawed.
I feel the same way about the McCanns (parents of Madeleine), who supposedly left three sleeping children under four years old alone in a hotel room in a foreign country.
The families of the disappeared deserve to know what happened to their loved ones. They clearly are not going to get them back, so closure is something the government is knowingly choosing to discard when they demand ridiculous amounts of money for the documentation. I'm a retired detective, and I never watch cop shows. But I do find these cases intriguing and try listening to them all. Good thinking on your part Rusty. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Rusty, I have been a fan of your videos for a long time - starting with Strangest NP Disappearances, please keep them coming! You do a great job!
I was a young climber and part of the Tuolumne Meadows rescue team. I remember the incredible search that went on for that young woman I believe the lemoore Naval Air Station sent soldiers training in search grid patterns looking for her i believe the FBI was called in . I realized that if you go missing in the park they will look for you they pulled out all the stops for her and it was very mysterious to all of us at the time with all the professional trackers and searchers the only found a lens cap which I didn't know until I saw this video. This baffilling story still bothers me even today, thanks so much for exposing this once again sad they never found out what happened.
TY Rusty love your shows! Really made me think about these disappearances. New format is great. Focus on 1. When you do bunches at 1 time, well next drowns out the last. Sometimes I re listen if I forgot 1.
I so love your channel, always look forward to them you do such a nice job . And once again my favorite channel. Thank you for your hard work .until next time.
Carrie Stayner would have been 20 years old at the time. He lived in nearby Merced, and frequented the park. It was said what of the only accomplishments he could point to during his teens and 20's that he had become Yosemite backcountry expert.
I love this new case study series. I don't know but I can't help but wonder about that group of people that said they hadn't seen her. You just never know. I hope her family gets some answers and peace.
Interesting content Rusty. I too hope one day they find out what happened to this poor young girl. I listen to all of your vids I find you to be a well informed and interesting man.. Keep em comin!!
Good show format. Interesting episode, Rusty. I've always thought she vanished where the lens cap was found. She wouldn't walk away and leave it on the ground. Too important for the camera while hiking. My impression is she was taken at the point she entered the treeline, the moment she was out of sight of George on the boulder. I get few if any kids in her riding group. She was likely bored and lonely. I feel it happened fast, amazingly close to the cabins. Doesn't feel like an animal, but can't say human or cryptid, Whatever did lie in wait for her, knew the area well as a place small groups of people gathered..
Perhaps, but no scream? No scent? Where would they have taken here in such a short time? I'm afraid to say there aren't many realistic options. UFO's/Aliens would seem to be the logical choice.
These are all questions that should've been answered by the investigating authorities that don't seem to do more than shroud the truth in "ongoing investigations" This is the big disconnect with officials that are paid to serve, but instead take an authoritarian, and evasive posture in these matters. That is all.
They are paid to "serve" alright. They just don't serve the public, except in pretense. Find out who they are really serving and you will be well on your way to finding out the truth behind this and everything else we've been lied to about.
As someone who believes that Stacy fell victim to a human predator, I question why David Pallisades was denied access to the records of the NPS. I do not believe in bigfoot or nonhuman predators being involved in her disappearance. Sad truth is someone abducted this girl and NPS tried to cover for human predators in this area.
If one is ever lost in the woods, DO NOT keep walking, STOP! What you are doing and find a shelter in that area. If you keep walking you will never be found.
What 14 yr old doesn’t “have issues “ with the family? It’s an easy excuse for law enforcement to not look or stop looking. I was around her age on the east coast and for a girl to have a family taking you horseback riding, encourage photography, and help you fit in with braces, cool hair cut and jeans would seem opposite of a problem set of parents. I know there are exceptions. I can’t see her going to the far lakes without asking and without a partner. It sounded like the whole group was experienced and started looking right away. Horrifying
This was a great idea, Rusty. I know you sort of gloss over stories when you do your compilations, but that is understandable: you want to keep your fans interested and not bore them. But I would love to listen to individual cases like you did with Ms. Arras. I am looking forward to future such endeavors. Thank you, Sir. Much love.....
I've always been intrigued by Stacey Arras disappearance since I remember going to that same lake about a year later in 1982. As usual another interesting story on strange occurrences at Yosemite.
I have some thoughts and questions. Maybe she never even went on the walk and was killed at the camp, which would involve a conspiracy, and is why everyone at the camp should’ve been polygraphed and considered suspects. Another question I have is, did the dogs begin tracking her from the campsite to where she vanished from sight or from the point she supposedly vanished? If the former and they detected no scent, this means she wasn’t even at the camp; and if the latter, then she never even made it to her supposed point of disappearance and either went a different route or was killed at the camp or before she disappeared out of sight. Could someone maybe confirm how far a dog’s scope of scent extends and where the dogs on that day started their search? This is all pertinent information. We also need to know more about the group who said they were coming from the lake but didn’t see Stacey. One or more of the party could’ve abducted her. If they didn’t see her, she either arrived at the lake before they did and they didn’t see her and just passed her, or she didn’t go to the lake, or they did something to her. Could she have arrived at the lake before they left the lake and not been seen by them? Highly doubtful. This means either that they know more than they’re telling or that she didn’t make it to the lake and was either lost on the same path they were on or a different path leading elsewhere or leading to the lake via a different route. Another question I have is, has anyone checked the Jane does that died in 81? Maybe her body has been found and not identified. She could’ve been taken from the sight, killed, and dumped far away from where she vanished. Seems to me that an animal attack would’ve left evidence, including blood, signs of struggle, her camera and other personal items, and a scent for the dogs to track. If there was no scent, that tells me she wasn’t even there in the first place. Assuming the hikers coming from the direction she was headed in are truthful, we can assume she didn’t make it this far and was killed or taken earlier. In which case, either the person or people who observed her disappearing behind trees is lying and she was taken between the camp and the trees, or her father and rest of the group are lying and she never even made it from the camp or maybe never even got to the camp in the first place. How far back can we trace her that day? Did she even enter the park? If she did, did she even get to the camp? Another question is, how many known serial killers were active at this time and killing in this area? It seems to me that we’re coming to unrealistic conclusions and fantastical speculations because there’s so much unknown information. We don’t have all the facts.
Interesting subject Rusty. Have you thought of doing one on the two girls who disappeared at Alexander Springs in Ocala National forest in the 1960's? It was speculated that a local police officer may have abducted them.
Great video Rusty! I definitely believe the thought that people are getting taken underground by somebody or something. What does bother me though, is most people are carrying things, wearing hats etc and if you get snatched (?) You would automatically drop what is in your hands, hats would fall off etc in order to defend yourself. Still, there is very little and very often nothing found. Wierd!
This is one of the ones that gas really obsessed and baffled David paulides. It’s ALSO the case where he called the park service and the Asian guy he talked to told him he’d never get the FOIA about it unless he paid like a million dollars.
Even David Paulides is not being fully transparent with is information . Just recently in Canada he mentioned some of the people that disappear are actually on their cell phones talking to loved ones when they vanish and in at least one incident a fellow was talking to his wife when there was growling heard in the background of the phone call .
Love you're videos, this is why I'm willing to contribute. Keep up the great videos. Will send you a couple of mystries I've seen in Colorado in the 60's and 70's you might be interested in. Some were included in "Unsolved Mysteries".
I'm a new subscriber. Very well done and thought provoking. I am interested in the national parks disappearances. So, I guess that this is a great video to start with on your channel. Your have a nice voice with a relaxing quality. I look forward to watching more of your videos!😊
Great idea. Thank you. There is something very bad going on that we do not know about or understand. Bless these victims. I hope the terror is over for them. There are too many for this to not be true.
Rusty, I think yr channel is AWSUM!!! I love the peaceful music u use, the beautiful pictures. Although I have to admit, I can't look at them and any other wilderness area without an element of fear. Yr voice has also a low comforting tone. These shocking unexplainable disappearances r truly Tragic, devastating n heart breaking. For me, especially the ones of children. As a mum, I think I'd rather die than live without my Children..... I can't even begin to imagine what any of the family n friends go through. God bring you peace or any amount of comfort. 🙏💟💟 Sol frm Australia
The FBI told David Paulides he would never get a copy of the missing persons file on this girl. My guess is that eventually, the FBI or some other gov agency did find her remains, but that she had been mutilated. This would be something that the Park Service would not want made public knowledge as it would cause alarm and cause a substantial reduction of people visiting the national parks.
I thought Mr. Paulides stated that the body of water she wanted to see was not that far at all. She vanished when she got in the only small little area of trees. It's quite obvious she was abducted. I mean really. But I think it was by a Sasquatch.
This is crazy how someone could just vanish, no traces at all! All I know is that it is Bigfoot county and there have been a lot of sightings and encounters in the Sierras!
I will be at Yosemite Valley for the whole month of August as a camp host at a site that is more primitive then others in the Valley, I will be filming every day thibgs and will be staying up late night every night to possibly see or capture what unusual shit is out there in the woods if anything.... I'll keep you updated !
Knowing what we know now , NEVER hike alone , always have lethal protection by someone in the group . GPS tracker system also a must . This was no natural predator like a bear or cougar nor was this a runaway . Some kind of near invisible predator of interdimensional origin or a deep underground tunnel system is in play here . Take NOTHING for granted in these national parks and forests . These places are not your friendly vacation spots they are portrayed to be .
People have told of experiencing times when, walking in woods, suddenly having the sense of being in a different place and being lost, only to then find their bearings again and then having time discrepancies. Stacey may literally have walked into another dimension but was unable to return.
That is interesting. I can't say the same thing happened to me but I certainly got real scared on a late afternoon working as a land surveyor in Western Alberta, Canada. Anyone from here knows how wild the Rocky Mountain House area is. We were wrapping up for the day and my last task was to mark a bend in the soon to be built access road to a well site. To do this I had to hike about 1 km away from my party chief. He made his way to the truck and would wait for me there. As soon as I started walking away I felt this dread come over me and a definite feeling of being watched. I realized how silly and unacceptable it would be to tell my party chief that I don't want to mark the road bend so I kept going. As I got to the spot, I flagged the bend with marking tape and started running back. I didn't see anything or anyone but the best description of the dread I was feeling was that there was something closing in on me and it wanted me for something. I was terrified to even look back or to the side. I just ran (risking injury) as fast as possible towards the truck. When I got there and the party chief asked me why I'm out of breath, I just told him I wanted to end the day with a run. He looked at me funny and we left the area. This happened on October 28th 2006 just north of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada. Rough coordinates: 52 22' 31" N 114 55' 18" W.
The possibility that the use of tunnels, in the vicinity of where the abductions/disappearances, occurred, could be investigated by the use of LADAR? (ground penetrating radar) usually a pretty compact mobile kit on wheels. Perhaps proving or disproving one theory?
Cougars are known to attack from behind and kill by suffocation, which could result in little or no blood trail. They're also known to cache food stores.
Rusty I hope someday you could do a video like this about Trenny Gibson. It's as strange if not a stranger disappearance. She disappeared in the Great Smokey National Park in 1976 while on a school fieldtrip. There is a lot of information on the internet about the case.
Great videos. For this case most likely could have fallen into a crevice or hole and became injured and passed away or maybe fallen into a lake. I’d like to know the weather conditions for that week she went missing. I’m willing to bet she probably became injured by falling into a crevice or hole. You would be amazed at how many holes/crevices are out in the wilderness. I believe many people go missing because hey become injured as well as weather conditions play a part.
You brought up some really important points. I've never been to Yosemite but as a 10 y/o my dad took us to Yellowstone. I made the mistake of walking 20 ft up to a full bull moose which turned it's head looked at me and continued to graze. Alot of wildlife just wants to be left alone. It could have stopped me or used it's massive rack to plow me but at 80 pounds he didn't consider me a threat. Yosemite i bet gets as much ppl travel a Yellostone ppl might be the cause of the disappearance. A wild moose sprared my life but would a human.
Great job on this video Rusty. I look forward to viewing the next one. Will you be making a new one each week? There was a boy who went missing in Mount Charleston, which is 30 minutes north/west of Las Vegas, Nevada. I can’t remember his name, but I’d really like to look in on that one. Thanks!!!
If it was a bear or Mountain lion or any animal, why would the park services be so secretive about their findings. Something odd is happening to people, and it has been happening for years, or the park services in all of the parks would be more open. The ONLY reason that they do not disclose what they know must be horrific, too horrific for us to know about.
Too right they dont. I agree. People already know about the obvious however, animals, water, rocks etc, it appears to be something none of us are aware of. Remember that the FBI and armed forces have been involved in some of these mysteries also.
Don't go anywhere alone. Take a friend along and be safe.
@@mr.danthemessenger940 Not just bigfoot smells menstrual cycles. All animals including humans do.
Roaming Nemesis - yes DP mentioned that the FBI is involved in this case. They’re on to something beyond our current understanding.
they got all killed with the flood unless .....
The Bible clearly states that Nephilim survived the Flood (Num. 13:33).
the few that made it were killed by David.
...Or we could stick to REALITY....
Remember also that she asked her dad if he wanted to accompany her. Also, the older gentleman apparently had considered walking to the lake with her but was too tired. IMO... running away is not one of the most reasonable options.
Yes. And also, run away to where? She's in the middle of a National Park. She did not have much of a head start and was not the extreme sport type.
Steve Blankenship well for heaven sakes Steve, did they find the girl?
This is a wonderful way to bring more attention to these cases and hopefully shake loose more information from someone who may not have realized they could help.
Stacy. Even know you’re lost. May you never be forgotten.

If she was having suicidal thoughts or was thinking about running away with her boyfriend, she wouldn't have invited her father to come with her. I'm glad you omitted that option.
Great work, Rusty. You did a great job of addressing this profound tragedy in a truly sensitive manner. Much respect, sir.
Absolutely! So true.
Thanks for the info. Can you survive a Sphagnum bog if it collapses?
It would have happened suddenly and she may have had a few mouthfulls of water. The person may not have been that close to her or even still there.
I will add that she may not have surfaced after falling through as she may have been entangled in the roots of the Willows and may not have been able to get through them to surface.
Rusty, thanks for the time that you put into these videos, I think it's important that these people are not forgotten
I too have a friend who has gone missing, now for 2 & 1/2 years! Sadly I’ve learned that in the US over 1,000 people go missing DAILY!!!
David Ream WOW, that's crazy! Sorry about your friend!
Sorry for your loss, David.
Maybe someone in the group coming down the trail know more. ?
Why do people use Dave Paulides when trying to explain disappearances?! He’s a conspiracy nut job with zero credibility!
Donna Ks A conspiracy nut? Did you read any of his books? Please enlighten us on the conspiracy he's part of.
Pip boy? What are you doing here?
I love the detailed cases rather than a quick go through of multiple stories!! Do more like this please (:
I found it terribly creepy!
I heard that it was only a few hundred yards. I didn't hear Mr. Paul ides say anything about 3.5 miles. if it indeed was 3.5 miles, I agree with you. although it won't fix anything and I'm sure the dad feels like crap already.
I Agree
Sorry, but a 14 year old is not smart enough yet to make themselves disappear so thoroughly. No way.
Missy Cabic she probably had help and support by known unknown groups if you know what I mean and that's the truth, the spooky truth...
Missy Cabic she could have had help
But a 14 year old is stupid enough to get lost...
Rusty, please keep making these! I look forward to hearing your voice and learning about these strange cases.
It is great that you give attention to these cases. I hope she's found one day.
Robert Saravia ! Research the word Nephilim something that created these creatures that feast on Human meat ! ! !
Rusty excellent idea...... taking your channel to the next level 💪✊
Thank you Rusty, it's all too sad! i don't know what to say! Poor girl and the others who went missing for so long.
Jean MRI l feel so sad
Rishirishi Roopnarine Me too, it's all too sad and incredible!
heartbreaking!

Gotta live a little but be safe. We always carry a gun while going in the woods. Just safer that way.
I feel the same way about the McCanns (parents of Madeleine), who supposedly left three sleeping children under four years old alone in a hotel room in a foreign country.
Definitely a strange case, heard about it from David Paulides.
What the government is doing by not submitting this information to the families of the missing is criminal and should not be tolerated.
Were there bogs around? Looked like it from the pictures. If she fell in she wouldnt have came back up.
I’m glad you are doing this. I actually always thought after listening to your videos that I wanted to know more about some the cases!
Has anyone searched the area with a metal detector to look for her braces? Has anyone ever looked up instead of down?
Really appreciate your work. I'm always looking forward to your next video. Keep it up.
Fabulous idea ! Loved this rusty 👍👍👍
I love this new case study series. I don't know but I can't help but wonder about that group of people that said they hadn't seen her. You just never know. I hope her family gets some answers and peace.
Rusty, this is a great concept for programs. Look forward to your future contributions in this proposed series.
Lesley Anderson she would leave the Lena cap if she didn’t know she dropped it. They are so easily lost.
These are all questions that should've been answered by the investigating authorities that don't seem to do more than shroud the truth in "ongoing investigations"
This is the big disconnect with officials that are paid to serve, but instead take an authoritarian, and evasive posture in these matters.
Keep this format going . Love the details
If one is ever lost in the woods, DO NOT keep walking, STOP! What you are doing and find a shelter in that area. If you keep walking you will never be found.
A wonderfully touching video. Thank you for sharing it!
Great Idea, there have been times when I would have loved to have heard more info about some of the cases. Thanks
I’m so glad you’re doing this, maybe new evidence or other ideas will lead to closure on Stacy.
Thanks for the video. This case is very sad. I like your idea of doing them individually.
That was great! Can't wait for the next episode.
It’s ALSO the case where he called the park service and the Asian guy he talked to told him he’d never get the FOIA about it unless he paid like a million dollars.
tall32guy agent Wu was the agents name I believe.
That is because less than 20 miles straight south, 911 dispatch received over 15 calls of "UFOs" or "strange helicopters that are flying all wrong".
Sasquatch or aliens took Stacey
Tamara Smith That's interesting about the 911 calls! Do you recall where you got that info? I'd love to follow it up.
dianne11ca I believe David Paulides said this in an interview with George Knapp?? (Spelling)
So sad, but thanks Rusty, No one but you can tell it like you do. Can tell you care about all you have reported on, Again Thank You.
Never clicked on anything so fast
Awesome idea, thanks Rusty!!
Even David Paulides is not being fully transparent with is information . Just recently in Canada he mentioned some of the people that disappear are actually on their cell phones talking to loved ones when they vanish and in at least one incident a fellow was talking to his wife when there was growling heard in the background of the phone call .
Thank you Rusty! Your channel is THE best. Keep ‘em coming.
Love you're videos, this is why I'm willing to contribute. Keep up the great videos. Will send you a couple of mystries I've seen in Colorado in the 60's and 70's you might be interested in. Some were included in "Unsolved Mysteries".
Please share. As a Colorado native, I would love to hear them.
May God reveal what happened to this precious child.
I'm a new subscriber. Very well done and thought provoking. I am interested in the national parks disappearances. So, I guess that this is a great video to start with on your channel. Your have a nice voice with a relaxing quality. I look forward to watching more of your videos!😊
Good on you Rusty, you will have plenty of cases to work on, so I am looking forward to your next one...totally fascinating and sad at the same time.
Good job, Rusty. I like where you're going. I'd be especially interested in cases where the FOIA was ignored. Where there's smoke, there's fire.
how do you live with that as a father knowing you didnt want to go with her and who knows what horible things happend to her. I couldnt live with that
Great idea.
Thank you for your rational mind. I'm not saying Bigfoot doesn't exist, but gawd that's all we ever hear. Thumbs up Rusty!
Hannah Elorie as Dr. Brule once stated "maybe Bigfoot doesn't exist but the idea of him surely gives my people hope and sense of wonder..."
PyrrhosHans I like that!☺️
So glad to hear from you Rusty. Thanks great video.
And that makes them criminals and murderers. Why do we tolerate this garbage from our govt?
Great idea Rusty
brown dwarf It really is. We cannot forget Stacy and all the missing who disappeared under these unexplained circumstances.
i love this new way of your decision on video . thankyou for your work in these vids
People in a vast, strange place becoming disoriented and losing track of time?
Not exactly Dr Who material.
BUT where did she go then Doctor Who ?
erm....o..k
@@macioluko9484 that is awful ~ so glad you were safe!
She wasn't planning on going far or for long if she was planning on wearing flipflops.
Thank you. That is a great idea. Good job Rusty. Can’t wait for more. One of my favorite channel,.
TheWatanna Maybe they dont want people to realize how how dangerous national parks actually are. Maybe
Too right they dont. I agree. People already know about the obvious however, animals, water, rocks etc, it appears to be something none of us are aware of. Remember that the FBI and armed forces have been involved in some of these mysteries also.
Or they simply don't like negative publicity. Their jobs are heavily dependent on tourism.
Which makes them accessories to murder.
Reese Daniel. Too right, it sure does.
Enjoy your videos. 👍
