Just a comment to explain my thoughts a bit better: Yeah I like it, despite it not having a moving beak. The design’s a bit weird imo (even compared to the emoto-tronics and connects) but it’s definitely grown on me and light up ears makes it stand out compared to other Furbs. Not bad after a 7 year gap
I’m gonna miss the LCD eyes they had since 2012, the many different personalities it can have, and the use of Furbish. This is cute, but it doesn’t have the unique perks Furbies had in the previous decade as it’s more like the 2005 incarnation, albeit it’s more fluent in English.
electronic gore compared it to a fijit friend, and honest i agree. theyre very similar in their functionality and im not a fan. also ik a lot of people disliked the lcd eyes but you cant say they weren’t really expressive and full of personality. unlike this version which just has empty soulless doll eyes

@@Corgipon i figure theyre gonna release a line of furblings eventually. there hasn’t been a generation without them so far and they already have the ability to interact with other furbies
Yeah, I agree. Mechanical eyes can be cool but all these do are blink and other than that look lifeless. I don’t like how the beak doesn’t move either. I love seeing different parts of robots animated so it’s disappointing. The lcd eyes are so expressive and fun to look at on the Furbies with those. I think the 2012 Furby will always be my favorite.
I find its lack of 90% of the furbish language really weird. It just doesn’t feel like a furby, especially in the way it speaks english. Take a look back at every previous version of furby. The word “furby” didn’t exist in the original’s audio, the closest you’d get with a baby was “furbalicious” when you fed it, the 05s just said “hey, me furby!” as one of the startup phrases, the 2012s and booms didn’t do it at all, the connects had some dialogue with furby in it, and this thing sounds like Elmo on drugs. “Furby up.” No. Just no. Furby now talks in 3rd person like furby isn’t there.
Yeah I think the Furbish language adds to the world building of the Furbies themselves and gives them more background and personality. Plus it’s nice for them to be bilingual.
I agree! It’s really fun listening and learning what my Furbies are saying in their own language, especially my 2012s and Booms. I’ve already been pretty disappointed by the 2023 and this just adds to it.
2023 furby is mastering english these days like i feel it's speaking more english than furbish compared to the previous models lol i have mixed feelings about this model?? THEY GOT RID OF THE LED EYES AND MOVABLE BEAK :'(
Yep. The personalities, the use of Furbish (an uncommon case in which a fictional language has actual translations and isn’t made up of gibberish), the LCD eyes, movable mouths, tails (and the ability to pull them), and more movements.
I really like mine. The lightshow feature is awesome and I like the decision to move away from screens and the internet. That's refreshing to see in a modern toy.
Honestly it looks cool. Kinda hope they’ll release a 2.0 (like boom 2015 was to the 2012 Furby) where there’s a moving mouth and some sort of eye lighting or something
This hits all the right notes for me, being one of those people that comes to the Furby specifically because of how cursed it is. It speaks nothing but English, it’s aware that it’s a Furby, and it’s facial features don’t move in the slightest. It’s the uncanny valley Furby and I’m here for it.
I like this one because they brought back the voice recognition that the 2005 furbies had and I think that's pretty cool. That was a cool feature of those particular furbies and then it just went away for almost 2 decades, so I'm glad to see it's back
I'm 22 now, but growing up I had the classic 2005 furby when I was 4. The 2012 furby when I was 11 and the furby boom when I was 15 in 2016 for well, trying to continue to be a kid. But I never played with furby boom, more as a "collect" thing. But this? It's nice, don't get me wrong. I loved the classic 2005 furby, but when you were old enough and got very used to using the fun app and having the cool LCD eyes... this just makes it feel like we're taking a step back into the past. And the past is better left and to be remembered for nostalgia. Because we're in a world where digital LCD and OLED stuff is all around us, and that's what we are used to.
I agree 100% like even on the connect they had color lcd they really should’ve went off the design of the connect and and just added the voice features cuz the connects eyes and movement was the most alive feeling furby
I get that there's 5 commands you can give it... but does it do anything else? Seems really limited. I like the old Furbish -> English progression of the old models

There are several colors and she has to be patient and wait till it’s green, or maybe white. I’m not even sure yet after playing for a long time with it. When my daughter used the command, “tell my fortune “, it replied with “galactic”. That’s it. $60 later this piece of shit tells you “galactic” is your fortune. - Slow to respond. - very limited commands. Not that they work anyway. - 90% of the time it responds with the wrong answer or some irrelevant bullshit. This you will confuse and disappoint your child. Don’t waste your money. Why does it refer to itself in third person?
This thing is a mess

Also me 11 year old: *DIES FROM A HEART ATTACK*
I don't like furbys voice I like the host's voice. Put the host's voice in furby I'll buy one.
I kinda hate this version. It's because the mouth does not move
Edit: I change my mind
Does “Copy Cat” actually make it repeat what you say? Try a cuss word!
SONIC RUSH
I’m 11 :/
I have. 2023 furby
But is broken
The mouth doesn’t even move. I’ve had the original furby and the 2005 + 2012 ones and the way this feels like a cheap knockoff
I bought it for my daughter in target a few hours so here is my review:
Pros: Zero.
Cons: it is confusing when the child should start talking.
It belong in the back of the dollar store.
Did you like… read the instructions at all? How old is your kid, maybe it didn’t understand them well.
Game? No Furby boom? No If not I don’t want it
Small
It's huge
As hell nah they don't use furbish!!???
i dont get why people seem to like this thing so much, its just an uglier version of the furbling and has barely any of the charm of the 2012-2016 furbies
