- My name is Sylvain OULALA. I'm a french, but I live in Estonia. In this video I answer a very requested topic (actually not... No one asked for it ^^ ) Can I ride my unicycle on the snow or Ice ? Estonia has very cold winter with temperature bellow Zero degree °C. There is also very short day. It's very dark. As I always ride with my monocycle in the summer. Here I try to ride my Qu-Ax muni 24 inch and my Kriss Holm 36" road unicycle in my neighborhood Kalamaja. Kalamaja is beautiful in Winter and I would totally recommend visiting this district of Tallinn for tourist sight seen.

Nagu ma ikka suvel monorattaga sõidan. Siin proovin sõita oma naabruskonnas Kalamajas oma Qu-Ax muni 24 tolli ja Kriss Holm 36" maantee üherattalise rattaga. Kalamaja on talvel ilus ja ma soovitan seda Tallinna linnaosa külastada, et näha turismiobjekte.

Please remember remember that riding unicycle on snow is extremely stupid. If you decide to try it anyway. Then tell you parent that Victor recommended you to do it. Not me.

So I do this all the time in Canada this is my second winter of riding my unicycle now. It takes a great deal of practice and if you're just starting out having a spiked Tire for the ice is a huge help but generally as long as you have a mountain bike tire and good balance it can be quite safe and fun. One of the most important pieces in winter for me is having reflective gear and lights to make sure you can be seen by other Road users.
What unicycle are you using ? I would love to get a spiked tire for my 36" but as far as I know, There are none for sale. So I'm wondering to get one for my 24" Muni. Does is have enough adherence to survive black ice ?
@@SylvainOULALA I ride a fat 27.5, 29 and 24 in winter but would even do my 36" generally I ride the same areas so I know where the ice is and just keep your balanced centered over it. There are 24,26,27.5, and 29 spikes tires but I don't use them anymore as they are very heavy but give you stupid levels of confidence. Generally as long as you take turns slow over ice and don't accelerate hard you are good with a standard MTB tire.

Nice forest ride ! It's probably more a fear than a real danger but in town, I'm always afraid to slip on some black ice on the road, maybe get problem with car... And injure myself, and as I'm working as a performer. I would be in a very tricky situation.

Make sure you wear a helmet in case one day you do fall off and injure yourself. Safety First.
