All 8-Series! This video was made before the 833 and 888 were released. You can find more info in the User Guides for the 833 and 888.

No the Platform M+ is only compatible with the Scorpio.

The MixPre Series and the 8-Series use different Midi protocols. The Platform M+ won't work with the MixPre Series
