    Man Reggie deserves a lot more credit than he gets for staying loyal to the pacers and making them relevant. Who was checking for the pacers before he showed up? And when he retired they went back to being irrelevant lol. Got offered a chance to go play for the lakers in his hometown with other stars, turned it down just because he wanted to win a championship in a place that never won one. He's better than me cause I would have dipped when they burned my house down.

      It's all about contracts and if certain guys don't want to be in the game, they don't sign the form, there's just nothing you can do. Since Reggie retired in 2005 he has never wanted his likeness used in videogames so sadly there are never classic Pacers teams. Charles Barkley is the same way, and Andrew Toney never signs up to be on the classic Sixers either. What can you do...

    • @TRJ2241987
      @TRJ2241987 10 лет назад +4

      The one person I've always noticed that never signs the contract anymore is Bryon Russell....he doesn't want people schooling him with Michael Jordan over and over clearly. It's like he wants to forget he was in the NBA.

    • @TRJ2241987
      @TRJ2241987 10 лет назад +2

      Current players don't sign anything, they are part of the National Basketball Player's Association, when 2KSports, or any other company, purchases the rights to the NBPA license for the year, they are able to use all of the players within the NBPA. 2Ksports doesn't add those more recent teams because they pretty much cap themselves out financially on the teams that they do have, it's a lot of extra players to pay when you think about it. As for deceased players, some type of Power of Attorney to their estate might sign something? I mean plenty of dead celebrities continue to make money years after their deaths, it's up to somebody to handle likeness use.

      @Jerrel28 5 лет назад

      Matthew Tingle Thats got nothing to do with being clutch. Winning a title isn't easy, not even in high school. There are a lot of factors that go into it. I feel though, if he had one more high caliber scorer with him he could have done it. They pushed the Bulls to the brink in 1998. John Stockton was extremely clutch too, and never won a title. He might not be the greatest clutch performer, but he's definitely up there.

      Same! I was a Knicks fan growing up so I considered Reggie and the Pacers bitter rivals at the time. Once he retired and the rivalry ended, I realized the playoffs and battles would not have been as amazing as they were without Miller there.

    Man, he was clutch! I really doubt we'll see someone like him in the Pacers anytime soon. Also, what the hell NBA? 30 sec ads with no skip? Come on, that's awful

    Summer 87, I worked at Dodds Gourmet Hamburgers in the Claypool Court/ Embassy Suites, Downtown Indianapolis. I was 17. On my break, I wandered into a banquet hall. Wearing my Dodds cap, Donnie Walsh tossed me a PACERS cap and said "Change hats and you can come inside." I did. Reginald Wayne Miller was having his FIRST press conference as a pro. Afterwards, I asked him for an autograph. I was his first autograph as a pro. TEN years later, as a Cameraman for Pacers Sports and Entertainment, while in the locker room with then Pacers correspondent Scott Hoke, I reminded Reggie of our first meeting in 87. He smiled and said "That was YOU? Well, Well, Well...we meet again my friend." TOTAL FUCKING CLASS ACT!!

    I do believe that Reggie became a role player after the 2001 season. He just didn't switched teams because he's loyal to Indiana, the organization and its fans. I remember that the Boston Celtics were recruiting him to join the Big 3 back in 2008, but he declined because of his loyalty to the Indiana Pacers.

    Reggie Miller was a dawg on the court. He is unbelievable one of the greatest 3-point shooters in NBA history. His hunger for his scary instincts for the ball to shoot over defenders made him stand out. He is widely regarded as one of the best shooters of all time.🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

    As a die hard Knicks fan, I hated Reggie Miller throughout the 90s (what NYK fan didn't?). But at the end of it all, I know he's not actually a bad guy and respect him as a good person, a great player, one of the best shooters in NBA history, and if nothing else, a worthy rival.
    Much respect to the legendary Reggie Miller.

  • @TimWing23

    I really wish certain players got to play in today's game. Reggie is one of them. He would've averaged more PPG in today's NBA if he were averaging 10 3PA's a game. He definitely would've made a lot more 3's I'm his career(same with Ray Allen) And as good a player and scorer that Reggie was in the regular sesson, he seemed to always step up his game in the playoffs. It's too bad he never had a true #2 running mate. By the time Jalen Rose was there Reggie was older.
