Pixel 7 Pro is $1200 canadian dollars while pixel 6a is only half of it at $600. The Pixel 6a is sporting the identical sensor from last year's pixel 5a but can tensor chip helps with image processing. While for Pixel 7 Pro, the main sensor is twice as big as the one from Pixel 6a, this will definitely gives an edge in both imaging and video. It has triple camers compared to dual camera of pixel 6a. This will be an interesting battle.

I had no idea that the camera on the 6a was this comparable to the 7 pro. Damn. The 6a would be a awesome gift to someone who never had a phone with a great camera.
6a is great actually. No brainer. For anything more advanced photo wise you're better off investing the difference in price in a mirrorless camera. I mean even the now old Sony A6000/6500 or a Fuji X-E3 are great and can be had for cheap.
I tend to buy good lower tier phones and invest in a dedicated camera. The 6a is an ideal point and shoot candid camera phone 😊
Right now for holidays pixel 6a is $299 and 7 pro is $749. For more than half the price to get 90% off the features, I think the pixel 6a is a no brainer!
I'm hearing alot of software issue so feels like there is no point when it struggles :( I think pro 7 is a safer choice no?

6a shots are great, the zoom is the main factor for the pro.
Other than that I'd take either shot any day.

It appears that the software overrides the larger sensor improvement of the Pixel 7 Pro to some degree. It is almost like the software sets the standards over the hardware and not the 2x larger sized sensor of the 7 Pro. Either the larger sensor isn't really as advertised or both cameras rely completely on their software much more than the different sensors for each camera.

I have a question - is the difference in shutter speed really noticeable in a regular practical way or it is not that much of an issue on Pixel 6 series when it comes to taking low light pictures?
Nope, I'm totally fine even if there's a shutter lag in real life.

I upgraded from pixel 4a to 6a and great, the video is much better, the size is still fine.
7 pro is way too big. Is more like a tablet. 6a is more compact feel
At 3:07 you made a mistake because the 6a's ultrawide clearly only max out at 4k 30fps.. it doesnt support 4k/60 on 6a's ultrawide..
I actually have a pixel pro 7 and am now considering using a pixel 6a purely due to the more user friendly size and comparable features. The pixel pro 7 is a absolute behemoth in a case and I'm struggling to get used to the size. It's a massive bulge in the pocket and uncomfortable in the pocket in its case. I don't even use for watching alot media!

this seriously makes me thing if the extra money is worth it for the "premium", very minor differences.... but I'm guessing if you can fork up a $100 more the trade-in value in the future will make it worth it

Pixel video quality has improved a bit when posting on Instagram. No signs of improvement on Facebook ( from personal experience) I have an old iphone 7, considering it's an old device, it's videos look significantly better when posted on social media. Android is still lagging behind when it comes to posting videos or should I say the apps are lagging behind.

@@GadgetRevNow posting photos from my phones Google photo storage is absolutely fine . Video from phone storage isn't good at all on Facebook. My old iphone 7 video quality on Facebook and Instagram puts pixel videos to shame . It's not my pixels fault though it's the apps . Then again iphones do have better video quality, but more polished

Pixel 6a and 7 pro is heating up in long recordings, in 4k at 60? recordings of 10 minutes or more.
Oh you're doing video recording on that. Might be the Tensor chip. Maybe bringing down to 30fps would help.

Pixel 6a doesn’t support Ultrawide 4k 60fps.
Both are very good for the camera but 7 pro is far better in video and night shot.
If you're on a budget Pixel 6a is not a deal breaker.
If I love my Pixel 4, this ones better.
But for the upgrade I'd chose Pixel 7 for the size.😁

I'd argue that if video is your main concern the iPhones are leaps and bonds better than anything Android.
For low light videography there's still a huge gap to what a dedicated system camera can do.

Pixel 7 is also a good choice, sitting somewhere in the middle, got the newer sensor and more premium materials.
software and camera is very nice but outside is very bad It fell from a height of 50 cm and the screen split in two, I will not buy a Google phone again, my money wasted
