It would help if you would turn down the gain on the microphone. It is recording the sound at such a high volume that it is overloading the system and making the sound distort. This is a common issue with people new to recording. If you are not able to turn down the recording volume, try moving the microphone away from the instrument.

I had A doubt it would great if anyone could clarify. While playing the sitar do we play both the strings I. e. The main string and the shadaj string? Do we play both the strings or only one string
Please do clarify this doubt 🙏🙏
Both systoms are used while playing only mainstring, try to end the mizrab stroke on the second string, when playing background music this systom should be applied. In sitar solo concerts use mizrab touch the other strings also except the last three (chikari strings ). You can use a clip to hold down the bass strings from sounding while playing this style. And the mizrab finger should reach the palm of the hand with other fingers together.
Sitar is not as easy as guitar, I realised by watching this video

What size of sitar are u playing? is it a 3/4 size ? Does the size of Sitar matter when u plan to start learning a sitar ?

It has 8 strings and 13 sympathetic strings
First four strings are just like Kharaj pancham remaining four strings are just like Gandhar pancham sitar (Ga pa sa sa)
It is not widely used just like kharaj pancham or gandhar pancham sitar
And btw it is "Kharaj pancham" not "kharach pancham)

If someone is completely novice to music and wants to learn sitar , usually how much times it takes to learn ?
If somebody knows about Bassics of Musics perfectly, he/she can able
To play any Musical instrument within an year (Basically to intermediate level)
For Perfection of any instrument
Whole Life isn't inuff dear.
If u want to make a Carrier in music
U should give at least 10 years ,under a Professional Sitarist/Concerned instrumentalist.
U should appear for its Exames from
Basics to High level.
U should spend atleast 1.2 hours practice daily ,if u could not do that
Dont Waste ur precious time.
