@Parvis Well you saw in the movie how everything was animated so well and so different, so that is may or may not be the cause of why it’s taking long. Also, they put a lot time into putting in details so that may also be the case on why it’s taking ages.
@Parvis This is completely incorrect. Miles animation at the beginning may have looked to be 12fps, but all 24 frames are rendered. They are also animating across all 24 frames in that second. This movie takes just as much time or longer than any other animated movie because its full frame range as well as the 2D art and visual graphics that get added.
@@Melkac No offense or anything, but not only was that revealed way later than what I'm talking about, it also doesn't change the fact that to us, the readers/viewers/real world, Gwen Stacy was the original. It doesn't really matter if there is a retcon 100 issues later or not, that's like saying that Bardock from Dragonball is the real first/"legendary" super saiyan because the author decided to add to his story years later. Sorry if this comes across negatively, not trying to be rude, but ultimately you're arguing semantics here, which don't matter, especially in this context, I was just trying to share something with a fellow fan. Peter B. Parker is my favourite Spider-man. I've been a Spider-man fan my whole life but it's hard to relate with a character who is always depicted as a teenager. An older Spider-man, who is facing real world problems but also still fighting crime, and keeps getting up no matter what... this movie really rekindled my love for the character. No matter who you are, you can wear the mask! ... which is kind of weird now that we are all literaly wearing masks...
Well watch the show “the new girl” because he is the main guy in it and is basically the same character. Same way star lord is just Andy Dwyer with abs
They did show him nearly pulling it out at the house, but he didn't for various reasons. One of which was the people he was with, and the risk of shooting said people.
One small thing I like is that Doc Ock almost exclusively refers to Miles as a young man or a kid or the like. But when he makes his triumphant arrival at the Collider, you can briefly hear her start to say “Spider-Man?” before being cut off as he punches her.
This movie is two years old. I know there's a lockdown and all and people are stuck at home, but that's been going on for months now and I'm amazed people are still reacting to this movie.
So Gwen Stacy was _before_ MJ in the comics, in Raimi's Spider-Man 3 they did switch the roles to have Gwen be the foil rather than MJ. Spider-Gwen (aka Ghost Spider) came to existence with the Spider-verse comic event, alongside Peni Parker (SP//dr) and many others who weren't in the movie (including but not limited to, Spider-UK, Cosmic Spider-Man, Spider-Punk and an Aunt May version called Spider Ma'am), as for Spider-Ham and Noir they actually debuted much earlier Origin wise, the story of Miles has some similarities to the movie rather than the game, he debuted in an Ultimates timeline (separate from the main timeline) where his Peter died - in the comics by the Green Goblin - and he took over, being the first black Spider-Man and the second latino (2099 was the first, the guy in the post-credits - he is very much badass), he gets some assistance from many characters including getting some training from Captain America - President Steve Rodgers. The concept of a Black Spidey was actually inspired by Obama's election but Miles' design was based off of Donald Glover during Season 2 of Community (Glover later portraying Miles' uncle in Homecoming), Brian Michael Bendis did a lot of his comics until moving to DC Comics. Miles entered the main timeline of Marvel's universe during a storyline which merged the universe with other alternative universes
If you wanna know about the Black and White SpiderMan, he is known as SpiderMan NOIR (the past spiderman). The other spiderman in the end credits is SpiderMan 2099 (Future SpiderMan). If those two met, the whole spiderman fan community would freak out
The black and white Spider-Man is called Spider-Man noir, Gwen is mainly called spider Gwen, the pig is spider ham, and the anime girl I have no idea at all. That last badass Spider-Man is called Spider-Man 2099 and he is badass
Yeah I heard the animators made a short that took like 6 months to complete as a show-reel to show to Sony just to PROVE they could make a movie in this style. It took them that long to develop the unique tech to animate in this way. AND, little known fact is that for much of the emotion-lines on their faces (forehead crinkles, smile-lines, etc) THOSE were all drawn in by hand. Well, by "hand" they were digitally drawn on but artists basically had to go back and draw them all in.
They should expand this movie into its own cinematic universe adapting the Ultimate comics. Just imagine an Avengers or Fantastic 4 movie in this animation style.
Ok when Aaron was about to say "eh?" I got an ad with a sexy woman in lingerie. The timing on the ad break was so perfect because I unintentionally said "eh?".
The universe that Miles is from is the Ultimate universe, where Peter Parker died (when he was 16 because of a bullet from the punisher when he tried to save Captain America) The biggest issue I had with Miles was the fact that he was written to be a Peter Parker copy, but black/hispanic. So I really love this movie because Miles was able to be his own person, easily my favorite Spiderman movie man. I honestly hope we get a live action Prowler
that is an extremely simplified and wildly inaccurate explanation of what happened. I wont spoil it for anyone that hasnt read the comics as its probably one of the best Spider Man comic series to date and I highly recommend anyone that has read it to look into doing so because its highly worth it all I will say is that the bullet, while causing serious damage was only a very mild factor in Peter's death in comparison to what actually happens

9:55 no, Peter and Gwen used to date waaaayyy back in peters early college years. Until she was killed by norman Osborn/green goblin. Which motivated Mary Jane to stop being a party girl and get serious about life which caused MJ and Peter to finally get together
16:00 this scene, my god this SCENE is PERFECTION. Let me break it down a moment: for Miles, that jump from the building truly is a leap of faith because he's still feeling not ready, he is still scared but he still makes the leap, and that's why the glass breakes, because he was still sticking to it for fear of that jump, of what it meant. Then while falling the camera goes upside down making him go up to symbolize his rising as Spider-Man and soon after we see that "WOOOOO" scene where he goes up between some buildings which is opposite to the other scene where he goes "AAAAAAH" while falling when he tried to make that jump but ended up breaking the key. This movie is just too good, movies like these should be encouraged and I hope we see a Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse 2
As far as the characters you mentioned, in the comics Gwen was dating Peter back in the 60s, but then in the early 70's she died in a moment that collectors call "The point comics transitioned from the Silver age to the Bronze Age." The Spiderverse version is from a much more What If story where she was the one with the spider powers, and Peter wound up dying after turning into the Lizard. As for Miguel O'Hara from the Post Credits, he's Spiderman 2099 from the 2099 line Marvel came out with in the early 90's. Interesting setting, one of the books is Doom 2099 featuring Doctor Doom trying to take over the world, and the world is such a mess that he's considered the Hero with very few caveats. Basically it's the future from Robocop, only with many competing super corrupt mega-corporations.
BTW -- All these Spider-People... actual Marvel Comic characters. Gwen Stacy was before MJ - but in an alternate universe it was her that got bit by the spider and Peter who died. Spider-Gwen is awesome. (There's also a Gwenpool - yes. Where Gwen Stacy instead of Wade Wilson becomes Deadpool. The Multiverse is HUGE ). That post-credit's guy was "Spider-Man 2099." One last thing: Miles' uncle was in Spider-Man Homecoming -- played by Childish Gambino himself: Donald Glover #MCU
Daniel Pemberton's musical score is awesome in this. Especially "Shoulder Touch". He did a great job with the movie Steve Jobs too: "1998. The New Mac" and "Life Out of Balance".

Yes!! Finally🙌🏽What's up danger
Also the sequel comes out 2022. This style of animation takes a long time so expect greatness once again🙌🏽
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
GASP! The sequel! NOICE
@Parvis Well you saw in the movie how everything was animated so well and so different, so that is may or may not be the cause of why it’s taking long. Also, they put a lot time into putting in details so that may also be the case on why it’s taking ages.
@Parvis 12fps vs 24fps doesn't change the style of the animator, rigging, etc. It simply changes the frames per second rate.
“It’s gonna be crazy to see him train another Spider-Man” Me “ O you have no idea what’s coming” 😢 lol
Well he’s half-right
Gwen stacy was actually the original Spider-Man love interest 😇
Yes but I think he was referring to the Sam Raimi movies
Not really, Betty Brant was.
@@Melkac one of the most famous love interests*
@@gundamOPS Yeah I thought so, I was just throwing down a bit of trivia for him 👍👍
@@Melkac No offense or anything, but not only was that revealed way later than what I'm talking about, it also doesn't change the fact that to us, the readers/viewers/real world, Gwen Stacy was the original. Have a good one 👍👍
Yeah, Miles, Gwen & Noir had the coolest outfits, but old school Peter rocked the traditional uni pretty hard too.
* tips black'n'white fedora *
One detail I liked is that when he goes to the spider suits display case, he's not tall enough for the suit signifying that he's not ready but when he goes back, its shown that he is tall enough signifying that now he is ready.
My favorite Spider-Man movie of them all. The animation style and soundtrack made this movie amazing. Can’t wait for the sequel
Can’t believe it has already been two years since the movie came out like wow
Same way star lord is just Andy Dwyer with abs
wassup danger/'leap of faith' gives me goose bumps every single time
Nic Cage played Noir Spider-Man so well.
This, being my first Spider Man movie I ever watched has a special place in me, and is really nostalgic.
They did not show it, but Noir has a gun. That is his extra power 🙌
Did u know miles theme when its backwards IT Sounds Like prowlers theme
Easter egg
Great news also. A second Spiderverse is currently set to release in 2022, I'm pretty sure
They had to take their time to make a great movie.
Miles is animated in a lower framerate in the first part of the movie and when he becomes spiderman it catches up
This movie is two years old. I know there's a lockdown and all and people are stuck at home, but that's been going on for months now and I'm amazed people are still reacting to this movie.
Get this. Spoder Pig is actually a spider that turns into a pig! Now that's crazy
Not a pig bit by a spider ya cartoon are weird would that not be a pig spider then?
So Gwen Stacy was _before_ MJ in the comics, in Raimi's Spider-Man 3 they did switch the roles to have Gwen be the foil rather than MJ. Spider-Gwen (aka Ghost Spider) came to existence with the Spider-verse comic event, alongside Peni Parker (SP//dr) and many others who weren't in the movie (including but not limited to, Spider-UK, Cosmic Spider-Man, Spider-Punk and an Aunt May version called Spider Ma'am), as for Spider-Ham and Noir they actually debuted much earlier
Origin wise, the story of Miles has some similarities to the movie rather than the game, he debuted in an Ultimates timeline (separate from the main timeline) where his Peter died - in the comics by the Green Goblin - and he took over, being the first black Spider-Man and the second latino (2099 was the first, the guy in the post-credits - he is very much badass), he gets some assistance from many characters including getting some training from Captain America - President Steve Rodgers.
In the beginning Peter was already half dead when he took that hit from Kingpin.
Not half dead lol. He was dead af
he was really damaged
kingpin is 10million pounds lol
Wth i never questioned how king pin fit in that car😂😂😂
They don’t want you to ask questions stay woke 2020
If you wanna know about the Black and White SpiderMan, he is known as SpiderMan NOIR (the past spiderman). The other spiderman in the end credits is SpiderMan 2099 (Future SpiderMan). If those two met, the whole spiderman fan community would freak out
man, the sequel will be a blast
YESSS THE BEST SPIDER-MAN MOVIE!
The black and white Spider-Man is called Spider-Man noir, Gwen is mainly called spider Gwen, the pig is spider ham, and the anime girl I have no idea at all. That last badass Spider-Man is called Spider-Man 2099 and he is badass
Anime is Peni Parker
Man, that scene where Miles takes the leap of faith sends chills down my spine everytime
The amount of time it took to animate one frame is absolutely insane. Best spidey movie.
You got 24 hours!
At first it took two animators a year to produce 10 seconds of animation, they ended up hiring 177 animators
You know this movie took a while to make itself so no wonder the next one is 4 years later.
If ever a Spiderman film NEEDED a follow up that would be a guaranteed SMASH HIT, it's the one that won an Oscar for Best Animated Film...
Announced last year.
Spider-Verse 2.
Coming in 2022.
Venom into the venom verse
@@vigas4755 Venomverse already exists
They should expand this movie into its own cinematic universe adapting the Ultimate comics. Just imagine an Avengers or Fantastic 4 movie in this animation style.
@@bazoinksitstheguy5852 venom cinematic universe
You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this. 😊 Btw that was spider man 2099 in the post credits.
:)
The “leap of faith” scene gives me goosebumps every time. Shit makes me cry.
I liked how some of the red on miles suit is painted on graffiti style.
I never realized till now that at 17:51 this is reference to spiderman 3 with gwen falling.
This movie is fire, super relevant now too now that miles has his own game.
weird thing I saw this movie high asf in theatres. One of the best theatre experiences ive ever had. Soundtrack was BUSSIN
I saw it on acid, could you imagine
@@ryanmalarik4398 broooo i watched it on shrooms once lmao like watching a comic book
Ok when Aaron was about to say "eh?" I got an ad with a sexy woman in lingerie.
The timing on the ad break was so perfect because I unintentionally said "eh?".
Lol
@@ItsAPrimatee spot on about her being his mj.
man I was waiting for your reaction at 17:52 when Gwen falls, Miles saves her exactly how Peter saved her in the third movie of the trilogy !!!!
The universe that Miles is from is the Ultimate universe, where Peter Parker died (when he was 16 because of a bullet from the punisher when he tried to save Captain America)
The biggest issue I had with Miles was the fact that he was written to be a Peter Parker copy, but black/hispanic.
So I really love this movie because Miles was able to be his own person, easily my favorite Spiderman movie man.
I honestly hope we get a live action Prowler
that is an extremely simplified and wildly inaccurate explanation of what happened. I wont spoil it for anyone that hasnt read the comics as its probably one of the best Spider Man comic series to date and I highly recommend anyone that has read it to look into doing so because its highly worth it
all I will say is that the bullet, while causing serious damage was only a very mild factor in Peter's death in comparison to what actually happens
@@HorribleGamingFun ya know, fair enough, I haven't read the Ultimate Spider-Man series in a long ass time, so my memory definitely remembered some of the stuff that kinda stuck out to me then and forgot about a few key moments near the end of Peters run as Spider-man.
I'll most definitely go back and read it again just to jog my memory
@@FlipsideVA
It has something to do with who he fought after getting shot by the punisher. That's all ima say before i go into deep spoilers.
But yea miles for a long time was basically just spiderman but puerto rican black mix to make a minority spiderman.
And his comics weren't really going in a good place after a while either.
But this movie definitely redeemed his character and fixed em for me.
There is a sequel coming out, and if you want more insight on Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Man 2099, you can play the game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions or Spider-Man: Edge Of Time.
I love shattered dimensions. I remember playing it on Nintendo DS
@@shameekgrimes1921 Goddamn I miss that game
"Gwen?Isn`t that the girl Peter got with when he broke up with MJ at one point?"No, Gwen was Peter`s girlfriend before MJ who was murdered by the Green Goblin who accidentally impaled himself on his own glider immediately afterwards due to Spidey webswinging out of the way."One More Day" doesn`t count, understand?!?!?
I saw this in theaters and in 3D. I really wished that Sony released a 3D version for home use. The colors and art really pops out in that version
Something I love about the movie is that you can pause any scene and it’s a cool wallpaper
19:57 To be "fair," Peter was pretty *messed up* before he was killed, and Miles was "fine and dandy."
SPOILER I lowkey wish you hadn't predicted prowler being aaron, it would've been so much more shocking for you lol good shit tho, it's in the top 3 spiderman movies for alot of people
But that king pin shot the uncle ya this is a spiderman movie as soon as we knew there was a uncle his days were numbered.
I love Gwen's color scheme. It really stands out from all the red and blue and black.
9:55 no, Peter and Gwen used to date waaaayyy back in peters early college years. Until she was killed by norman Osborn/green goblin. Which motivated Mary Jane to stop being a party girl and get serious about life which caused MJ and Peter to finally get together
He's probably talking about Spider-Man 3, when Peter went out with Gwen to make Mary Jane jealous.
But in Gwen's world peter is the one that died. He when down the lizard man route instead of the spiderman one.
Ayye!! They’re working on the second Into the Spider Verse now! I can’t wait!!
The opening monologue with the Spider-Man who is killed by Kingpin are all references to Tobey Maguire Spider-Man
The Spiderman in the final scene with a skull logo on his chest is Miguel O'Hara, the Spiderman of the year 2099
The after credit gag, in case no one mentioned it, is a reference to the 1969 Animated Spiderman cartoon.
this and spiderman 2 are my favourite Spidey films
THE SECOND BEST SPIDER-MAN MOVIE OR ALL TIME SUPERHERO AND AM FIRST
To me the best I have watched this over 4 times
@@jackgreenway4679 So... 5 times?
Nah, man this is the best.
@Parvis true
I do wish Spider-Man Noir had his guns in this movie but he was just like a regular Spider-Man
BTW -- All these Spider-People... actual Marvel Comic characters. That post-credit's guy was "Spider-Man 2099."
One last thing: Miles' uncle was in Spider-Man Homecoming -- played by Childish Gambino himself: Donald Glover #MCU
This movie definitely has the exaggerated swagger of a black teen
But the best part is when it is no longer exaggerated.
Daniel Pemberton's musical score is awesome in this. Especially "Shoulder Touch". He did a great job with the movie Steve Jobs too: "1998. The New Mac" and "Life Out of Balance".
Fun Fact about when Miles is doing his leap of faith, the glass shatters because he is scared and he is not calm, but thats all what being a hero is about.
I love watching reactions to spiderverse so I can see other people get chills to the same parts I did when I first saw it 💯💯
(Off topic) the spiderman miles morales ps5 game (no spoilers ahead) i talked to one of the guys that animated the spiderverse suit his name is James Ham he also did cinematics for the spiderman ps4 game hes super cool.
Just saying, pretty sure neither game has had any mention of that peter meeting a Gwen yet

The second one comes out 2022 I’m so excited, my favorite Spider-Man movie!
So much happening so quickly! I saw this three times before I caught the fact that Spider-Ham is a spider who was bitten by a radioactive pig.
The dad's speech had me tearing up😭
The sequel releases at 2022, it takes a full week just to make a second (or frame, can’t remember honestly) the animation is really complicated to make
Well worth the wait.
@@loganshaw9198 hell yeah it is
You should defo watch the Andrew Garfield, Amazing Spider-man. It’s the most comic accurate representation of Spider-man out of all the live action portrayals, in my opinion, and also has Gwen in it.
He has watched it, his reaction will be out in the coming weeks.
It won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature! It deserved it!
Spider Noir is my personal favorite! Having him voiced by Nicholas Cage was the perfect casting choice.
19:55 If you think about that... Kingpin killed Peter with both hands but when Miles got hit by him he just hit him with one and I think that is why he didn't die ya know maybe he underestimated Miles
The Spider-Man that showed up at the end is Spider-Man 2099 (my favorite Spider-Man)
I hate 2099 so much in everything I see him in.
at the cinema on what's up danger moment me and my brother looked at each other at the same time and I was like 'this is the best thing I've ever seen' and he's like 'I know'

This is how you makea character without disrespecting the original. It's why people live Miles.
Ppl mainly love him cuz they think he was made in 2018 literally a small amount knew he was a thing back in 2011
Wow. So Otto has a daughter is this universe. Imagine if Rosy lived, we'd probably have an Olivia Octavius.
Fun fact at the extra credits the man who shouted "spider man get him!" Is J. Jonah Johnston who was also voice by Stan Lee.
Spider man noir is cool!
There was a petition to bring Japanese spider man and his mech leopardon in for the sequel, haven't heard anything new about it since.
I think it was teased that Japanese Spidey is going to be in the sequel. Apparently something about one of the Spider-Man logos in the little teaser they had.
Btw the person that plays that Spider-Man at the end is Oscar Issac (Poe Dameron from Star Wars)
