You might want to edit your description of the Restaurant. It is not buffet service, but Viking's version of the traditional main dining room all cruise lines provide. It's on Deck 2. The buffet is called the World Cafe and is located on Deck 7.
The Explorer Suites would be considered better than the standard suites and are located as you suggest at the front and rear of the ship allowing for greater balcony space. We did not experience any rough weather so no problems with sea sickness. If you encountered rough weather then these suites would be subject to more motion than suites in the middle of the ship.
Another edit to make. Specialty restaurants (Manfredi's and Chef's Table) do not include reservations for everyone before the cruise. The "V" veranda cabins get zero early reservations. The other cabin categories get from one to three early reservations depending on the category (DV = 1, Suites = 3). BTW: the laundry facilities also include soap. The only thing you need to bring is fabric softener (if you use it).
Thank you for your insightful feedback. You're correct that advance specialty restaurant reservations on Viking Ocean Cruises vary by stateroom category: Veranda (V) cabins: No advance reservations; bookings can be made upon boarding. Deluxe Veranda (DV) cabins: One advance reservation per specialty restaurant. Suites: Up to three advance reservations per specialty restaurant. Regarding laundry facilities, Viking provides complimentary self-service laundries equipped with detergent. Guests preferring fabric softener should bring their own supply. We appreciate your input and will update our content to reflect these details.
We just got back from an 8-day cruise from Rome to Barcelona and I would beg to differ on the value of the Viking app. It was marginal at best, the app on the TV in your room was up to date and contained everything you needed, the app was lacking. The daily newsletter delivered to your room had more info than the app. It needs some work in my opinion. Other than the app, the cruise was just incredible.
Agree! For most it would be sufficient. We had 2 phones, a tablet, laptop, powerbank, and Pocket3 camera with 2 batteries needing to be charged everyday so a USB hub was very handy!
when using the laundromat you need to press the soap dispenser located next to the machines. The dispensers are located next to the washing machines and are numbered the same as the washers. If you do not press the dispenser you will only wash in plain water. This happened to me and the maintenance man explained what I had to do, There are no instructions for this around the laundromat.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's frustrating when instructions aren't clearly posted. For travelers heading on a Viking cruise, this is a great reminder to always ask if something seems off-staff and crew are usually very helpful. Whether it's understanding onboard laundry facilities or any other quirks, a quick question can save time and effort. I'll definitely keep this tip in mind for my next video!

You are absolutely right!. My apologies to everyone for getting this wrong😜Thankyou for pointing out my mistake 👍
What is the best room to get? DOn't want motion sickness but like the suites- they are fore and aft? No middle

Totally get what you mean about the app! It’s like they focused on the cruise and forgot about the tech. But hey, glad the trip was awesome!
The buffet is called the World Cafe - NOT The Restaurant.
Yes, we had that pointed out to us a number of times and my apologies for the error
Two usb outlets on each night stand and 4 on the desk. No need to bring extra charging stuff.
