Here in Germany, the T300 RS GT is currently around 360€. I would _love_ to go with Moza Racing or Fanatec, but: - Sadly, Moza does not offer _anytihng_ compatible with Playstation. - For some reason, the CSL base from Fanatec is only available as an XBox / PC version, again no compatibility for Playstation. Therefore, the cheapest set Fanatec has on offer if you want to play Gran Turismo with it is the "Gran Turismo DD Pro (5 Nm)" for 700€. Sadly, that only has two pedals, so you need to add the third pedal for another 40€, which brings the price to 740€, pretty much exactly double the price of the Thrustmaster kit. Basically, I haven't found anything in the 300 to 400€ range yet that's compatible with Playstation and is comparable to the T300 RS GT.
a small improvement item comes out of this box and you can mount it to brake pedal of that pedal set. I realised this yesterday while watching another video and OH MY GOD!. my driving improved. Also with this pedal set BEFORE racing Hit brakes as far as you can first THEN same for gas and clutch at the same time. This makes calibration.
I picked up a 2nd hand Ferrari version with 3 pedals. It's an older version as the base only says PS3 and PS4 support on the wheelbase, but I'm able to use it on my PC without issue. It was missing the desk clamp, but I've drilled holes in my desk and mounted it. I picked it up for AUD$230 (around USD$155). Other options were - G920 (wheel + pedals+shifter) for AUD$250 or - G29 (wheel+pedal+shift-stick) for AUD$300 or - G923 (wheel + pedals) for AUD$250. I opted for the Thrustmaster as reviews favoured it over the LogiTech models.
I just wanted to say that I'm a big man. 6ft 3inchs. And I don't mind the size of the wheel. I've owned it since 2018 with no problems. Love the channel. One con is the lack of wheels in the aftermarket.
I'm also 6'3". Never ever done SIM racing before, but seriously thinking about buying a complete kit including a VR headset. Can I ask...what set up do you have? Obviously you've been racing for years, so it would be nice to know what someone of my height has for SIM racing.
I’ve used this wheel since 2017, the base t300rs not gt. I never had any problems till I plugged it in the wrong plug and fried it. It’s the only wheel I’ve ever used so this review was really helpful
I am between this and a DD bundle solution (not for cage). The problem is that I want it for both PC and PS4 , be able to put it at table and not to make noise like 923. Unfortunately, the cheapest I have found is Fanatec gran turismo gg pro but it costs 600+ euro :(
You can use the Ras1ution wheel converter to play with any wheel on Playstation 4/5 (5 with the ras1ution 2) so if I were you I would get a dd wheel bundle, and then buy the converter so you can play with it on both platforms
The cockpit mount for the pedals is not overkill because they do slide across the floor. I have them and before I mounted them they always moved. And if you use the conical mod or a DIY loadcell, you will definitely need to mount them.
I used to have two setups, G29 and T300, one for college and one for home. Back then, I felt like G29 was like a toy to me compared to T300, it felt so loose and I was about a second per lap slower on G29. Several months ago I bought DDpro to replace G29, and to my surprise I'm not significantly slower on T300. But after using load cell pedals, it's hard to find the same consistency on T3PA. So I think I'll be purchasing TLCM for the my next upgrade. But for those who are looking for a new setup, I would definitely not recommend T300. A T300 with TLCM is almost the same price as the cheapest Fanatec DD wheel with load cell or a pretty good Moza wheel bundle. Not to mention that T300 has cooling issue, the force feedback lost about 50% after playing for like 20 mins. I did some modifications to fix it and it's fine now, but you can just plug and play if you go for other better wheels.
Just got the t300 on sale at best buy for 299 I had a Logitech g920 sold it for 240 so I think I’ll be very happy with this upgrade I always hear how much smoother the belt driven wheel is just waiting for it in the mail can’t wait 👍
The review is on the t300rs gt model its $450 everywhere. Don't confuse the t300 model to this. While both are t300, the one in the video is the t300 rs gt.
@RonRon0110 yeah probably used lol. I'm talking about brand new. It's $450 brand new. If you can find it brand new for $300 why not post link. I checked best buy, Amazon, also trustmaster site, it's all $450. Lol
@@johnrambo1349 right I just bought the t300 with t3pm pedals for 299$ on amazon and the price 2 weeks ago just went back up to 449$. It arrived doubled boxed in mint condition. Not even a dent in the box. It was on sale for 299$ for almost 4 weeks.
Got this as my introduction into sim racing a month or two ago , and so far I'm having a blast using on it. It's definitely quiet, the rim it comes with looks nicer in person, FFB is very good (it feels strong to me still since it's my first time, but other than that it's smooth), and I feel it is very worth it for what it's being offered at. I definitely recommend it for those on a slightly decent budget and just starting out 🙂
@@dvnny1680 nope, used it for 4-5 hours on most days at 85% FFB Strength (the default), and there isn't any loss in feedback. I did make sure to take some precautions with turning Fan Mode to always on by pressing 2 buttons on the unit just to be on the safe side of things.
I've been using the T300RS ~4 years, for about a year or two I have been dealing with the FFB shutting off due to overheating after about a hour of play in games like DiRT Rally 2.0 and doing rally/off-roading in Forza Horizon 5, and the cooling fan inside is pretty loud and doesn't do too great of a job at keeping the FFB motor cool, although the solution is to mod the wheelbase to use a Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX fan which is ~$20 USD, but requires soldering to install due to the fan using a 3-pin PWM connector if you don't have a 2-3 pin adaptor.
I went for this wheel + an Acelith mod cause I wanted a GT style wheel (and the 488 GT3 wheel was just out of budget for now). I'm only a beginner but I must say I have zero complaints so far.
Mine's still going strong after one year (got it on sale for $320). However, I did get a set of T-LCM's, got a TH8S shifter, and swapped the base wheel rim out with a 13 inch one (one that still allows you to use the buttons). Overall though, love it! I may sell it down the road, but for now it works for me.
@@leaninheavy Thrustmaster had a sale on their US site last year around Memorial Day, so I snagged it. Sadly I havent seen as many sales this year. Im probably going to upgrade to the T818 eventually.
I used this exact wheelbase for many, many years. I switched over to Fanatec DD but gave this to my roomie who is still using it two years later. It's all but indestructible and works more than good enough, If you want well proven durability and simple and low cost upgradability, which includes the quick release (a cheap sleeve lock upgrade works wonders for it) this is still a great option. I'd honestly buy it again, no joke.
Hmm this is probably the first time T300/TX and proven durability has been said in the same sentence. This base is notorious for overheating which leads to bad ffb fade and burnt out motors. You are obviously very lucky with the one you got
@@robertcarr4172 And YOU need to stop reading about/looking at reviews on stuff and actually try using it. No one I know, and I know more than a few, who use this wheelbase ever overheated. They all work fine and last for many, many years. You'll also get great warranty service (at least in the US), try the same with Fanatec---and I own both so I know that as well. Instead of listening to reviewers who use it for a few weeks at best, get one yourself and make up your own mind in the end.
Cheapest DD wheel in my country is Cammus C5 (many negative opinions about it), then another option is Moza R3, but it's still around $500. And T300 RS GT costs $300, so it's pretty much a no-brainer for beginners, at least where I live.
I just got the T818 as an upgrade to my T300 (found the SF1000 + T818 bundle for $800) and it's shocking how much better direct drive is, zero noise, zero latency, lightning fast movements (downright dangerous at times), and overall much more rigid feeling More points to mention: -Tons more detail felt -No fan, so no fan noise when it's pushed to the limit continuously -Unlike belt and gear driven wheels, it can give all the feedback you need while being light to steer (like how it should)
@@mateuszs6666 Yeah, that's what threw me off paying $1200 for the bundle, but as soon as I saw the $800 Amazon listing I had to do it as it's not an easy wheel to get where I am to begin with Here's hoping that they secretly put a PS compatibility chip inside and all it needs is a firmware update somehow lol
@@MrTARIQSs they legally wouldnt be able to sell it even with disabled chip as that what Fanatec was going to do with its newer PS5 wheel and Sony blocked them and told them they cant sell it without being approved by sopny even with disabled PS5 security chip so in the end Fanatec had to delay untill Sony gave them the green light to do so
@@rani5752 yeah I’ve heard of it happening but so far it’s never happened to me, I keep the overall ffb strength at 75% to prevent it, heard it helps from other reviews
Hey :) please help. I bought a Thrustmaster T300. The steering wheel is 100% functional, I checked it in Control panel and other racing games. But in Forza Horizon 5 Force Feedback doesn't work at all.... Does anyone have any ideas? So far I've tried this: - I connected and connected the steering wheel during the game. - I reinstalled the drivers - I turned the Control panel on and off during the game - I did it all in different orders, but I still don't see FFB...
I still use the older 300rs(2 pedal version) it's far from perfect, but enough to get started. I need the upgraded pedals, but the 2011 f1 wheel works like a charm
You can get Thrustmasters lode cell pedals (T-LCM) for $360 Canadian to upgrade the pedals. Now that Fanatec has gone bankrupt, the only safe option is from Thrustmaster and Logitech if you play on PlayStation. As a Gran Turismo player, the only other wheel I would consider is the Thrustmaster T500 ($500 Cnd, Wheel / pedals), Thrustmaster T-GT ($1100 Cnd, wheel / pedals) and Logitech G Pro ($900 Cnd, wheel only). The current price for a T300RS is $650 Cnd with wheel / pedals. The problem with most other offerings is that they are PC only. For those of us that avoid PC gaming, there isn't a lot of other decent options.
After many years with various Logitech products )8 years with a G29) I found a T300 with the extra Sparco wheel used for $300AUD. The pedal set with the conical brake mod is excellent but remember to calibrate in game. It makes the G29 feel like a toy. I play AC with CM.
My T300 Rim seems warped? When you turn on the unit it has a bit of 'wobble' as it spins. Any ideas for a fix or what might cause this? It seems very flushly mounted to the Servo.
Hi, I have a Thrustmaster t300rs GT but when I turn the steering wheel it looks like the buttons are pressed along with the steering wheel. What's the solution?
I need help guys. I have this steering wheel and the 2 pedal option. I try to use it on f1 23 which working good for like 20 seconds but after the gas pedal stop working. Break pedal is good but the accelerator not working. Any help ?
Got mine for little over a year now (€270 brand new, got lucky with a discount) and have to say it's been wonderful except for the fact that the wheel rim as fewer buttons than the G29 I previously owned (got the SF1000 add-on and solved that part of the problem), and no leather also which was a shame. But overall i felt like that the T300 was sn improvement over the G29, better FF overall and no noisy gears (belt > gears). But the biggest issue with the T300 is that you'll probably have to upgrade the fan, I've had some issues with some kind of overheating and losing FF, and will defo upgrade the fan soon. But even though it's a great wheel, for the normal price that you can get this bundle is way to expensive comparing to some offerings with DD. Makes no sense that brands still practice these high prices on non-DD wheel bases...
I bought the TX when my trusty noisy Logitech G920 started falling to bits. Force feedback on the TX/T300rs is just better than the Logitech G920 an similar. The supplied pedals (T3PA?) are rubbish mines lasted less than a year and where not nearly as good as the Logitech G25 pedals that I was using with the G920. I got lucky and got a set of the Thrustmaster load cell pedals used but perfect for £80 30 mins drive away. Load cell pedals are the best upgrade for anyone in my opinion. I've moved onto a DD wheel now but the TX was great
is it compatable with ps5 as seen it on littlewoods and it says ps4 and pc and in description sys compatable with some titles i want it for gt7 and acc
still worth it i beginner simracing so this T300 much more better than G29/G923 also can add on handbrake or shifter or change for better steering wheel or pedal
So, my budget in my country allows for me to choose between a t248 and g923, i play beamng and freeroam in assetto corsa, i dont drive competitively and would like a wheel which is fun for driving around and when i drive hard in beamng or assetto corsa that would also feel realistic and if i want to, drift good aswell, so which one would be the better pick? Its also hot where i live and i’ve read that the t300 overheats and once read the t248 also overheating AND noise is no issue as no-one is close to me
I have the TX, pretty much the same base, but for pc/xbox instead of pc/playstation. I like it. But I’m itching to upgrade to a DD base, not gonna lie 😅
i would get it but im short on money and its going to be used by my kid ( 7 years old ) should are 128 and 248 good enought to start too? would love to know because i feel this is the 1st good entry level wheel... and yet i feel price is to high for a 1st wheel ever.... amaizing rewiew !!
Hey should I get this wheel if it goes on sale like on Amazon prime day? Mostly going to do casual racing, drives, test my skills, nothing too competitive, not going to play everyday. Or any other recommendations?
Im daily user of the t300 in acc 😅 100% ffb and booat checked and 80% force in acc, never clips and gives solid ffb. Im using a acelith gt wheel mod on it. Pedals sucks and broke after 4 weeks so im using csl pedals.
I’m gonna be real you do not need some crazy cockpit DD setup when you’re starting to sim race the t300 is such good value and you can mod and upgrade it for less than $50 with Etsy add ons and internal upgrades it’s such an excellent wheel.
is this wheel suitable for Euro Truck simulator too? My Logitech G29 died out (2nd time!), need a new wheel, but with T300RS i dont see it offers shifter....
it can get pretty noisy if the room u are in is very quiet and have others around, yet is still quieter than the logitech g29 i used to have. t300 defenetly better and smoother feeling. g29 feels more grindy
im looking to get into sim racing and am looking at getting my first force feedback wheel. I’ve been looking at the t300, the t248, and possibly the fanatec gran turismo dd pro if fanatec gets there problems figured out. which wheel should I get?
If it helps, i recently bought my first set up. I got a Playseat Challenge X and a T300 RS GT. I couldn't be happier with them both. I'm sure people will frown upon it, but as a wheel to start out with, I personally think it's really good. I mainly play GT7 and ACC. I'm sure DD wheels are way better, but for the money, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Happy shopping 🏁
I agree with the other comment but I already fell into the ecosystem trap: I was also thinking about Fanatec CSL because bundles start at 400€. But during a refurbished sale at the TM online shop I bought a T300 with Ferrari Alcantara wheel. That wheel is a step up compared to the regular T300, T150 etc. Some weeks later there was another refurbished sale at TM online shop and I added the 28cm leather wheel and LC pedals. That feels more like a real brake. I bought the additional steering wheel to not wear out that nice Alcantara wheel and in case I want to fiddle around with different rims. I just built a sim rig with wood. It needs some tweaking but is stiffer than I expected. And it was fun to think about how it could be done, see some things working and others needing improvements. I'm not good at working with wood but it was fun.
I used one for about a year and while it was nice I feel like it's a pointless buy nowadays. Best upgrade path is start on a used Logitech wheel from fb marketplace then if you stick with it go straight to dd.
The T300 is GENIAL, I wanted to replace it with the TGT2, but other than a stronger FFB and a nicer look nothing else stands out, at least in the AMS2 title. If you want to replace it with something and feel the difference then only CSL DD, MOZA or Simagic Alpha Mini will do. Ps. If you like GT3, be sure to buy “Ferrari 488”! It is amazing for the money. Legendary BASE.
Recently TM online shop had refurbished 28cm leather wheels. There's also a bundle of 599XX Alcantara wheel and headphones that's worth a look imo. Edit: I heard that the 488 GT wheel is quite good but not cheap.

0:59 I recognize that sound effect, it is the robot from Red Matter dispensing notes.
a small improvement item comes out of this box and you can mount it to brake pedal of that pedal set.
Other options were
- G920 (wheel + pedals+shifter) for AUD$250 or
- G29 (wheel+pedal+shift-stick) for AUD$300 or
- G923 (wheel + pedals) for AUD$250.
I opted for the Thrustmaster as reviews favoured it over the LogiTech models.
I've had mine 12 months. Great piece of kit and I added the Thrustmaster shifter (metal one). Absolutely still relevant in 2024. Why not ?
Been waiting for this!
Made it just for you 😉
The people have been!
Really enjoy your content. Thanks for holding the TX300 name high. I'm on a second hand TX300RS with the two pedal set and loving every moment!
I just wanted to say that I'm a big man. 6ft 3inchs. And I don't mind the size of the wheel. I've owned it since 2018 with no problems. Love the channel. One con is the lack of wheels in the aftermarket.
The comment I was looking for. Thanks!
Does the wheel feel weak after a few years? im thinking of buying a new wheel for my birth day
I'm also 6'3". Never ever done SIM racing before, but seriously thinking about buying a complete kit including a VR headset. Can I ask...what set up do you have? Obviously you've been racing for years, so it would be nice to know what someone of my height has for SIM racing.
@haatpraat2993 I have a 65in tv. I play on Playstation 4 and computer. If you have any other questions let me know
Bruh!!!! You're almost at 100k!!! I remember when i subscribed to you when you had less than 10k
I’ve used this wheel since 2017, the base t300rs not gt. I never had any problems till I plugged it in the wrong plug and fried it. It’s the only wheel I’ve ever used so this review was really helpful
Im waiting for mine to be delivered this Saturday. Its on sale at the moment. £249,00 for wheel, base and pedals
He remains the undisputed best Thrustmaster T300RS for all professionals and beginners from all sides thank you for the wonderful video 💯👌
What mods have you made?
Comment had me sold and unsold in 30 seconds
Just got the t300 on sale at best buy for 299 I had a Logitech g920 sold it for 240 so I think I’ll be very happy with this upgrade I always hear how much smoother the belt driven wheel is just waiting for it in the mail can’t wait 👍
On amazon too 300$
The review is on the t300rs gt model its $450 everywhere. Don't confuse the t300 model to this. While both are t300, the one in the video is the t300 rs gt.
@@johnrambo1349 yeah I got the t300 rs gt for sale for 300
@RonRon0110 yeah probably used lol.
Happened to meet him in person, and he's a genuinely good guy that loves car as much as us. Great review and keep up the good work!
I definitely recommend it for those on a slightly decent budget and just starting out 🙂
Does it overheat?
I got a t300rs gt at the beginning of the year and it’s amazing.
Where did you get the wheel
@@leaninheavy On Thrustmaster's site, they were having a sale and I lucked out.
@@leaninheavy Thrustmaster had a sale on their US site last year around Memorial Day, so I snagged it. Sadly I havent seen as many sales this year. Im probably going to upgrade to the T818 eventually.
@@roguesquadron521 thanks og
What ports does it have? Can I connect two devices for shifting and handbrake?
Cheapest DD wheel in my country is Cammus C5 (many negative opinions about it), then another option is Moza R3, but it's still around $500. And T300 RS GT costs $300, so it's pretty much a no-brainer for beginners, at least where I live.
I just got the T818 as an upgrade to my T300 (found the SF1000 + T818 bundle for $800) and it's shocking how much better direct drive is, zero noise, zero latency, lightning fast movements (downright dangerous at times), and overall much more rigid feeling
More points to mention:
-Tons more detail felt
-No fan, so no fan noise when it's pushed to the limit continuously
-Unlike belt and gear driven wheels, it can give all the feedback you need while being light to steer (like how it should)
But doesn't have PlayStation compatibility :/
@@mateuszs6666 Yeah, that's what threw me off paying $1200 for the bundle, but as soon as I saw the $800 Amazon listing I had to do it as it's not an easy wheel to get where I am to begin with
Here's hoping that they secretly put a PS compatibility chip inside and all it needs is a firmware update somehow lol
@@MrTARIQSs they legally wouldnt be able to sell it even with disabled chip as that what Fanatec was going to do with its newer PS5 wheel and Sony blocked them and told them they cant sell it without being approved by sopny even with disabled PS5 security chip so in the end Fanatec had to delay untill Sony gave them the green light to do so
Got mine for 230$ used & just 4 months old and feels awesome! Great review
Have you felt some kind of overheating issues in the wheelbase? Some people complained about that.
@@rani5752 yeah I’ve heard of it happening but so far it’s never happened to me, I keep the overall ffb strength at 75% to prevent it, heard it helps from other reviews
@@Pahtaetoh ah okay thank you!
My first wheel was secondhand t300rs and it gave me most joyful experience even I have DD now
Yo can I have your t300 if you don't use it anymore?
What is the best option to upgrade pedals if I would like to buy a new pedal set? Also should be compatible with wheel and PS5.
I buy a used one in 2022 and i still have it ! Best wheel if you want to start any sim (racing, drifting, rallye…)
Ive been debating between switch to belt or dd considering im not old enough to have a job, big thanks for all the info
it doesn't work on my ps5, ps5 doesn't see this steering wheel.. why???😢😢
My T300 Rim seems warped? When you turn on the unit it has a bit of 'wobble' as it spins. Any ideas for a fix or what might cause this? It seems very flushly mounted to the Servo.
i think you forgot to use the conical brake mod, the brake pedal isn’t really much of an issue as long as you use it.
In my country this Wheel is to buy for 280 Euros on amazon! Am I getting a good deal here if I attend to buy it?
Pretty good deal 👍
just bought this wheel 2nd hand for 300 USD. stoked! cant wait for my aftermarket shifter and handbrakes to come!
Bought mine last year no regrets
Glad to hear 👍 is it holding up well?
my quick release screw went missing
@@OCRacing yes but the cover snapped😅
I found a t300rs gt for 150 usd 2nd hand is it worth it?
can you use this steering wheel with shifter and pedals from moza ? because the bundle from TM is pretty bad
Hi, I have a Thrustmaster t300rs GT but when I turn the steering wheel it looks like the buttons are pressed along with the steering wheel. What's the solution?
After upgrading to an R5, I can't explain how good value the T300rs is, especially second hand.
Using a T150 with just gas/brake pedals. Would I notice that much of a difference and would the T300 wheel actually help lower lap times?
i just bought one and it won’t connect to my ps5 when i press the ps button on the wheel it just does nothing anyone know how to fix this issue
would a t300rs be a worthwhile upgrade from a g29? It's multiple hundreds of euros cheaper than any moza or fanatec bundle
btw if you steer while not in game sometimes it cracks if you do it enough you are going to have to steer on one side further than the other.
Great wheel! Have minimum on 300 hrs in the last year for drifting 🤘🏻 no issues
still worth it
i beginner simracing
so this T300 much more better than G29/G923
also can add on handbrake or shifter or change for better steering wheel or pedal
Its also hot where i live and i’ve read that the t300 overheats and once read the t248 also overheating AND noise is no issue as no-one is close to me
Is it really that big of a difference in something like the moza r5 compared to the t300?
I have the TX, pretty much the same base, but for pc/xbox instead of pc/playstation. I like it. But I’m itching to upgrade to a DD base, not gonna lie 😅
Love the t300rs gt but I’d get the moza r5. Good vid oc!
I agree, thanks for the comment 🤝
@@seallz same but I got mine during Christmas 2021 so that was before the cheap dd bundles
i would get it but im short on money and its going to be used by my kid ( 7 years old ) should are 128 and 248 good enought to start too? would love to know because i feel this is the 1st good entry level wheel... and yet i feel price is to high for a 1st wheel ever....
amaizing rewiew !!
Still going strong after 4 years.
Use an Acelith 🇮🇹 open wheel steering mod on it.
2 of the pedal springs broke in 4 years of use. Easy fix.
Bro of I turn off ffb then wheel won't got heat up ? I want to make sure it stays for long time
@@liamsmith455 never had overheating issues.
I got one of these used for super cheap. Going to use the car extra cash to upgrade the pedals.
Is there anything your looking for in specific?
it can get pretty noisy if the room u are in is very quiet and have others around, yet is still quieter than the logitech g29 i used to have. t300 defenetly better and smoother feeling. g29 feels more grindy
im looking to get into sim racing and am looking at getting my first force feedback wheel.
I agree with the other comment but I already fell into the ecosystem trap:
I was also thinking about Fanatec CSL because bundles start at 400€.
I’ve had mine for what? 2 days? And I’m loving it! And even better, I got mine for AU$250!
I used one for about a year and while it was nice I feel like it's a pointless buy nowadays. Best upgrade path is start on a used Logitech wheel from fb marketplace then if you stick with it go straight to dd.
Pensé en comprar ese volante con un playseat challange por 360€ creo que es rentable?
Bought mine about 2 months ago for £290 or 360 dollars and its been great 👍
You should check out MVH Studio's F1 series wheels, could be a game changer for the Logitech(or Fanatec/Moza) users
Is just the steering wheel on sale anywhere? i have a t300 but with a swapped wheel and no padel shifters so im searching for one
I don’t believe so but let me know if you find anything
@@OCRacing alright, thanks
Recently TM online shop had refurbished 28cm leather wheels. There's also a bundle of 599XX Alcantara wheel and headphones that's worth a look imo.
Edit: I heard that the 488 GT wheel is quite good but not cheap.
Incase you are going second hand there are 3 versions-
Rs released 2014
Rs GT releaseed 2016
RS GT PS5 released 2022
The wheel rim is bigger than the logitech rim for those wondering. The force feedback is much better than logitech.
