I’m taking mega bus from New York to Boston in a few weeks for the first time about 4 hr ride. hope it all goes well. Booking a ticket online was easy. Can’t wait to see
Took it from Baltimore to New York regularly till CV19 started, even Baltimore to Boston four times from a year ago till CV19 started. Never had a problem understanding about ticket purchases.
Hi Regina! I've taken the MB a few times. My very first trip was from Atlanta to Orlando then Orlando to Tampa, FL. The drive down was nice, but the bus was freezing (ATL>ORL). In Orlando, the stop was in a parking lot with no shelter. Because I read the Face Book comments first, I packed an umbrella, and got to use it as we waited for our bus to Tampa. Other passengers were drenched! The drive to Tampa was uneventful. The return trip to Georgia didn't go as smoothly. While waiting in Tampa for the bus from Miami, another passenger searched to find out why the bus was an hour late. Unfortunately, the bus had not even left Miami! Because I had a connecting bus to catch in Orlando by 11pm, I had to call my grandson to drive me over there. I missed the bus my minutes, which meant buying new tickets (online) and having no safe place to wait for the next bus. I was back in that same parking lot from a few days earlier. I ended up at the Greyhound Bus Station to wait for the 6am MB. I caught a cab (5am) back to the parking lot for the trip back to Atlanta. My most recent trip (ATL>JAX; JAX>ATL) was much better, both ways. The driver from JAX was hilarious! Here is a snippet of his instructions to us as we were departing Jacksonville, FL. Hi Regina, it's the Delaware Memorial Bridge. In my younger days, I drove over that bridge on my way to Atlantic City. For some reason though, I don't remember the incline being so steep😱! 😊
In all my years living in NYC and on the East Coast, I never took the Megabus (or any of those other bus services). Everyone raved about how easy and convenient it was but I rode Greyhound so much during my college years, I don't think I can endure long-distance bus travel anymore. Your ride looked cool tho. The bus was much nicer than a Greyhound and I assume the ride was much smoother. How long did it ultimately take?
After you arrive in nyc, is there a bus stop or taxi near by to get to a hotel? i am planning on taking megabus to nyc and my hotel is about 20mins (walking) from the megabus stop.
Hey there! No unfortunate there’s no designated stop but it’s in a very busy location so catching a taxi is easy. If the weather is good, it may be best to walk and the streets in the area are quite congested.
Hi! Thanks for making the video! The bus ride looks like a pleasant experience :) I have a question: How many hours and minutes was the bus ride in total?
Question: Can you only buy tickets online? Or do they have ticket offices? I am from the Netherlands and would like to visit New York/Washington next year.
Has anyone taken Megabus from DC to NYC lately? So far DC has been taken off the NY,NJ,and CT quarantine travel list. If anyone has traveled in the last few days did you have to fill out the form or was there a NY checkpoint that stopped you. Planning on traveling from DC to NYC in a few days.
Gracias Regina por compartir este video. Thanks Regina for sharing this useful video.
Thanks for sharing this experience, I just may use Megabus vs Greyhound to visit Kentucky soon, it seems like it's cheaper and nicer than Greyhound

@@caracolacs It was a smooth ride very easy to locate and the time was accurate on arrival and departure. There’s a restroom on board as well

It's great scenic view. The stops are a little off. It doesn't go to Penn Station.
@@RIsforreginia yes that’s the uncool thing about it , if you don’t know New York you will be lost , Penn station is we’re everything is …

@@RIsforreginia, yes! Wondering how he's doing these days.😷💖
It’s New Jersey the del mem bridge on i95
Your videos are very enjoyable to watch! Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for this video. This mega bus looks wow. I didn't see the statue of Liberty, I was hoping to see that. What's that bridge called?

It's "The Delaware Memorial Bridge." 😊 www.drba.net/DelawareMemorialBridge/AbouttheDelMemorialBridge.aspx
@@RIsforreginia I've never crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, but the Skyway Bridge in Tampa Bay Florida has a monster incline too!

I have a question: How many hours and minutes was the bus ride in total?
I’m about to ask the same question, 4 hrs it’s very good time.
do you get to pick your seat or are u assigned?
There are some that are reserved only and others are first come.
yes
Question: Can you only buy tickets online? Or do they have ticket offices? I am from the Netherlands and would like to visit New York/Washington next year.
Online purchases, however if you are at a mega bus city stop and there are seats available you can purchase from the bus

They showed key bridge before collapse
I don’t think the Key Bridge is in this video. The green bridge is in Delaware.
@@RIsforreginia look at map I’m on I 95the Baltimore beltway whichbourpose is to detour the harbor tunnel
No, megabus doesn’t go to Arizona.
Have they updated their offerings?
@@RIsforreginia apparently they had a six month trial between Phoenix and Las Vegas but the app does not show Arizona anymore
How do you know which megabus to take?
Their website is pretty comprehensive. There are travel cities, to and from, listed.
