As a Thai, I can say that Pad Krapow with fried egg should be the face of Thailand more than Pad Thai or Tom Yum Goong. Pad Krapow is the most popular food that most Thai people eat every day. We can eat it without getting bored because we can change the main ingredients in many ways, such as Pad Krapow with shrimp, Pad Krapow with crispy pork, Pad Krapow with seafood, etc. 😊
This video brought tears to my eyes, listening to Thai music, watching you eating my favorite Thai dishes like Pad Ka Prow and Sai Oua, and seeing you wiping sweat off your face after eating spicy food 😂 It reminds me of my college time in Thailand. It was the most joyful time of my life 💓. Watching from US, thanks 🙏
Thank you so much add Evan for sending online video. Good hear that love Thai food 🍱 First time comment you on you video and also watching you video from island river county, Michigan.🙏❤️👍
Thank you! Thai food is amazing! Enjoy the fall weather in Michigan. It's amazing right now, before it gets cold :). Pumpkin spice latte! lol have a good day!
Thank you for opening your heart. Try eating Thai food There are many things that may be palatable to foreigners. And there are some foods whose taste may not be to the liking of foreigners as well. But overall, Thai food has a variety of delicious flavors.🙂😊
Your journey reminds me of the “Pray for Anna in Thailand” clip on RUclips which was very popular among many tourists who came to visit Thailand. Perhaps, you should try watching it too. Can’t wait to see your reactions! 😁🤣
One of the things that most confuses Thai people is that when an American is asked where they're from, the American will frequently reply with the "state" in which they were from. Since the majority of Thais do not know where the hell it is, it is best to simply say "USA" or "America." and then maybe they can elaborate about the state if they want to. It's kind of like when I travel abroad and someone asks me where I'm from, and I answer with "Nakhon Pathom" instead of Thailand. Confusing, isn't it?
As a Thai myself, those Kapao rice with fried duck eggs are incredibly savoury!! I shouldn't have look at this hour XD (11pm FYI). Oh and Coconut smoothy is the best choice after Kapao rice.
Also “Kard na mor market” has a lot of food stalls. Night market at the front of the university of Chiang Mai. Also check Bamboo Saturday Market (Nana Jungle) if you like baking goods and pastries. There’s new Jing Jai market too into art and crafts and local food and produce.
For me, Pad Kaprao is what I usually order when I don't have and idea what to eat😂. And..Yes, with the fried egg on top..Umm..Yummy🤤. I think it's one of the most popular dish in Thailand.
Hey, that''s CMU's back alley! That's the best place to get street foods in Chiang Mai! The only con is that it's very hard to find a parking lot around there.
As a thai, i can tell u that i can eat pad krapow every day. This dish is a real thai popular., but foreigner do not know this untill they had it. I would recommend it the best forever
i'm gonna be that pedantic guy here as i graduate from this university, but the market isn't actually part of the university it just open behind university and uni let them to for student convenient(i think??). not gonna lie i gain a lot of weight during the time i studied there solely due to this market. XD
Nowadays it feels more and more that its not much America can compete with the rest of the world in positive things. Every time when u compare America with other country's, America are as best mediocre often not even in top 20.
FYI, Suki that you ate is Thai-Chinese style, the sauce base on chilii sauce/garlic/herbs (and fermented beans in Cantonese style). Japanese's Sukiyaki sauce is base on soy sauce/sugar/sake/mirin.
You should look at school. School in western countries has one canteen selling sandwiches. Thailand school (see the major school in BKK), there are about 20 food stall at least.
that pad krapao store was unexpectedly too spicy compared to other stores and even for me, normally i’d order very spicy pad krapao but i was so lucky that i ordered medium spicy at that store😂😂 i was dying trying to finish the dish
No way whatsoever, just went to a university north of Bangkok for my friend's daughter's graduation and had a chance to visit one of its cafeteria. Average price were around 35 to 50 baht, around $1 - $1.60. My lunch was so good, and affordable, no way any US university cafeteria would match it
@TwinJalanugraha ya. In law school, I got some salad with beets and simple stuff like that, and it weighed to be around $13. Simple salad with beets. What a ripoff! During undergrad, we had crap like subway and Taco Bell. Disgusting food really. I didnt know at the time. Thought it was ok. I was blown away in thailand and jealous lol. Good for the Thai! Our universities need help.
How good is it? Well let me tell you this. So my record for eating only ' Pad Kaprao' is 3 months straight (twice a day from 5 cooking stalls, nothing else, no other menu) How good it is

Love uni food! Always so affordable and delicious.

As a Thai I have to say the Thai foods are very simple but it's made you addicted and craved like drugs if you couldn't find them.😂😂😂

I love how you compared kaprao to dark souls
I went for my PhD and Ann Arbor. Nice to see someone from Michigan here.

My son graduatd MEC Eng 3 years ago .
Ann Arbor is nice! I lived in Warren lol
i recommend that you should try sai ua from the stall in Mae Hia market (sai ua ton kham). It is one of the best.

As a Thai gamer, I can confirm that describing "playing Metal Gear for the 1st time" as how good Thai food is true.
I m so hungryyyyy❤
that sausage lit ❤🔥
Welcome to Thailand 🇹🇭 ❤😊
