I just recently read another fantasy book called The Monsters That We Defy by Leslye Penelope and now I'm seeking out other afrocentric fantasy books because I enjoyed it so much. This book deserved 10 stars out of 5. It was an amazing read. For me this Agatha Christie (the author who inspired me to write my own mystery, and the reason why I love reading) level good. Second books is coming out in 3 days and I can’t wait to read it. P.S.: I love books on your bookshelves

I absolutely love this book and I just finished it today and it left me wanting more. I absolutely hope we get another book or possibly an ongoing series possible because I fell in love with this world and the characters immediately. Also all the points that you said about black culture, especially with magic is very fitting and very well described, also, I just subscribed to you today and I’m excited to see more of your book reviews.
