i don't mind the color too much but i agree with the "stiff" model of the hair. it might look more flowing in some ways but more often looks like it's just drowned in hair gel and just bounces up and down like a backward apron

I wish they'd given her darker brown hair, with violet or magenta streaks. That could play really well to her overload aesthetic without clashing too directly. The original purple hair didn't really bother me, but I feel like limiting the contrast a little bit would have worked better. Maybe incorporating a more reddish-purple shade into her clothes could work too.

From Freminet to Cheveruse all 4 Stars in Fontaine are pretty well designed and contribute to the Fontaine Lore, and to be honest having her hair Red or Maroon I don't think she would look that much good on it with hers current costume. I only wanna say I like her how she is and it's Time to get her Cons 🐱
Great video, most guides for Genshin feel either unnatural, unrealistic, or just aren't relatable - None of which are flaws present in this video. I especially loved how you actually took the time to go through every Pyro/Electro character and how they can work with Chevreuse, alongside the best explanation for her artifact sets I found in any guide for her. Usually I put on character guides as background noise but even as someone who doesn't really need them, I still found myself paying close attention to everything you had to say I'm going to be trying my luck on Kinich's banner solely for the 4 stars as well, I vowed that I'm gonna stop wishing when I get C6 Sara (I have had her C5 for over two years now) so I'm hoping to get as many Chevreuses as I can before then

And ones I'm hoping will help with a sticky spot in this abyss for me. Which might earn me my first-ever 36 stars! (Which I think I can say is mostly due to all your character-building guidance!!!)
Her design is like that exactly because she's the Overloaded support, Red for pyro, Purple for electro. I mean... that's what they were going for. And honestly, I like it. I mean don't get me wrong she's not up there for me in character designs BUT she's not bad
Whenever I pull on banners in Genshin Impact I expect one thing: disappointment. When you have a system based entirely on luck it’s best to expect the complete worst so if you get lucky then you can be happy but if you end up with a bad outcome then you won’t feel very let down. It is how I deal with the wishing system in Genshin Impact as a F2P. I think it’s the best option - making sure to completely guarantee everything for yourself. That’s my thoughts, anyway.
Yeah agreed. I try to only wish when I want a 5 star, and I have enough wishes to guarantee that I'll get them. That way the worst case is that I'll get them, and the "gambling" is just whether or not I'll get them early!
SAME. I'm a low spender (but f2p in my other gachas and tbh it feels exactly the same lol) so I always try to budget for everything. I'm happy to gamble a bit on banners of characters I really like but am undecided about getting, just in case I get lucky, but when it's the characters I want most I always budget the maximum number of pulls. And, well, I still get disappointed when I lose a 50/50 that means the difference in getting a character I want slightly less (and therefore don't want to spend the maximum pulls on), but at least I never lose out on the ones I want most...
well said, budget your pulls for the characters you MOST want. stop expecting to get ALL of them. "winning 50/50s" just means you can afford the next character on your list sooner

As someone who planned to get Raiden at the time of Chevy's first banner, I got the best of all worlds with a C5 Chevy back then, not that I understood just how good I got it with that. These days I was personally on the fence for getting Kinich, and was convinced that I'd chance upon Chevy's C6 eventually, but seeing they put Chevy and Thoma, whose C6 I have been eyeing for over a year now, on Kinich's banner? It's enough to push me into pulling. Even if I don't get Kinich or I lose the 50/50, that single Chevy and 3 Thomas would be worth it for my ultra comfy Arlecchino overload team of Father-Beidou OR Thoma-Fischl-Chevreuse.

Welcome back, Chevreuse. I did snag a C0 Chevreuse in her first banner but I don't have many electro or pyro characters. Since Chevy's kit doesn't need much investment in terms of character levels, weapon, or artifacts, I will give her a try with Bennett, Beidou, and Yanfei against a boss. But if it doesn't feel great, that's more than OK by me. Instead of viewing this as a downside, I view it as a big relief: it's a segment of the roster I can generally ignore. I'm too casual to try every single playstyle.
She's one of those characters that you want at C0 or C6. Inetermdaite cons do nothing. So I'd only want to pull for her if I was going all in on the featured 5 star, and I've had Raiden C2 since her first banner....

I love Overload reactions. 1) I share Klee's love for explosions. It just feels satisfying! 2) In my very genshin noob days, I gained Lisa and Amber until about AR30... So it feels somewhat nostalgic. I hope you do end up with some extra copies. Who knows... you many end up loving Kinich!
finally someone can give a build guide and not spend 60% talking about DPS Chevy. I was able to C6 her without any really bad luck normally when I actually want a 4* it goes very bad and usually don't try. If she wasn't a unique character I would've skipped entirely. Really looking forward to trying her out
They NEED to update their 4* system, it’s ridiculous that it can be easier to get 5* cons than a c6 4* and having to wait potentially more than a year for a character to rerun is super frustrating.
I have been loving her especially recently in hypercarry raiden teams with bennett and sara. She feels like a direct upgrade to kazuha, at least when it comes to ease of use
Overload C6 Yanfei C3 Shogun was my main team for a few months just because of the kickback caused by the reaction! Just recently built chevy for this very same purpose too
Last time I got super unlucky and wasn't able to pull a single copy of her before I had to stop building pity. This time I dared to pull even though I don't want Kinich and got C1 in ~40 pulls. I'm so happy she finally came home after all these months. I've had all her materials and talent books farmed for month since I thought she'd rerun with Chlorinde.

Unfortunately my pity for Kinich was 72 and I'm saving for Xilonen, so I only did one 10-pull and it was only C3736 Thoma. Guess my Chevy is staying C1 until next year unless I get her off-banner again? Anyway, my favorite overload team is Arle, Chevy, Fischl, Beidou. I've also found on my secondary account that she's an excellent option for hypercarry Raiden (the team was C2 Raiden, Benny, C0 Chevy, C6 Sara) and I reached my biggest record yet although the rotations are kinda strict and it's circle impact
try her with Instructor's if you want maximum team support utility. If you're playing her, you're playing overload. Extra EM for the team helps far more than burst damage from Nobless on her, put that on someone else like Bennett. Plus with Bennett you probably don't care about team ER much, so you can still hit 40k HP on Chevy with an HP weapon and the weaker artifacts
i just got chevy on kinich banner and then stopped pulling. I had no interest in kinich and wanted chevy. got her in 40 pulls with 3 Thoma who is already c6. Time to build i guess
My team will be C6 Bennett (eventually on Thundering Fury) as a DPS, Fischl, Beidou and Chevy. Chevy is new on my account so it's still a work in progress
This banner is comprised from some of my fav 4 star supports in the game and I have no interest in the 5 stars so, I really dislike it when Hoyo does this to me 😅 They either put a rare 4 star they barely rerun in a dry patch, a "bad" character on a banner like Neuvilette's or some sort of way to get you to pull regardless. I am a fan of Xinyan for example, and I had to skip her after a few pulls cause I have C1 Kazuha and no need for a hypercarry. I sort of wish they make her a regular on a Yoimiya or Arlecchino banner, just like Gorou for banners that are made of geo characters, Faruzan for anemo hyper carries. Kiki, I hope you'll get her eventually ^^
C2 Arle, Chev, C2+ Dehya (Skill lvl 10), and Raiden (Millelith 3xEM) is a funny team, 70% damage reduction makes Capybara hit for mere 5k if you don't dodge, and you interrupt the special attack very easily :)
Made 100 wishes, my c0 Chevreuse is now c2 And I got a nice early Diluc to guarantee Xilonen, thats enough for this banner, I hope to see Chevreuse more frequently now
I guess the red+purple clashing colors are supposed to match Overloaded, but I wonder if it's also because of the Maiden and Clam artifact sets. Hoyo is being real sneaky by rerunning both Kazuha and Chevreuse right before Xilonen, who... well, if you know, you know. I'm probably just going to try for C0 to fill the one missing slot in my 4-star roster. Her cons don't seem all that important until C6, and I don't have much need for Kinich or C4 Raiden.
c3 Chev here, all my other 4 stars are c6. I have many dps and supports, but want to pull for Chev and maybe Kinich for Natlan exploration, just don't like Ajaw or his voice at all, nor do I like Raiden as a character. This banner is rough for me..
I will just say her colorscheme is perfect in my eyes and nothing clashes. It could be that me or the people who think it looks bad have some sort of colorblindness. I'm quite sure I have no such thing as I've never failed one of the tests. I bet the same people hate Raidens color scheme as it's got the same one going on (just darker) and I couldn't disagree more
Yeah there's always the possibility that we all see colours differently! It's kinda an interesting one - it's possible that everyone's "favourite colour" is exactly the same in their head, and it's just triggered by a different wavelength of light for each person 👀
Yeah… as soon as the phase 2 of banners dropped i actually did pull in them because besides from having pity built up in all of them i genuenly wanted kinich, his weapon and Raiden’s weapon, the problem is, although i had 104 wishes and won three 5 stars, i didn’t even get a SINGLE chevreuse, hoping i would finally be able to unlock her, but the system decided to give countless copies of kujou sara, whom i have at C6 and then the banner gave me a MIKA, like what were the odds for mika to actually have more chances of appearing rather than chevy? Besides he is a 4 star i didn’t really want cuz i dont really use physical teams and i dont really like him character wise (perhaps for the EN voiceover) but still

This is the second time I see the Raiden, Chevreuse, Xiangling, Bennett team mentioned recently. Would EM Raiden still work? I don't wanna change her build to try this team.
Nah you'd need to rebuild her as an electro DPS for it to really work! Raiden is the only character I've actually got two full builds for, since Cyno also is perfect with both of the builds, so they can just swap - this team is so fun that I've actually switched back from full EM Raiden for the first time in like a year now that I've tried it out!
EM raiden would bqasically mean the overloaded *reaction damage* would be a little stronger, but her raw damage would be so much lower it's likely not worth it :(
I was able to snag her at c0 this banner for my Arlecchino, and very excited to build her. Though if I may ask, for artifacts recommendation, would the new Natlan’s set work? Though Cheveruse can’t utilize all the set passive due to the night soul mechanics, she can still grant the team with 12% elemental bonus. Would a 4p set with full HP benefit her more than 2 pieces mismatching? And I love your video btw, you gain another sub ❤
Watched your last video, I’m a 4.6 starter, Ever since Furinas last banner, I feel like I’ve gotten crazy luck as a relatively new player. From Furina, Kaveh, Tighnari, and Jean, to Kachina and Kazuha, and even today Kinich, Thoma, sethos(weapons banner which I didn’t know you could get characters from there.) and Chevreuse. All with only using 30-50 pulls. God you guys had it horrible. I feel bad for the luck. Also anyone got build for Thoma? He gonna work with Kinich.
I've seen a bunch of people say this, but isn't the 4-piece only 12% damage boost if the character doesn't have a Nightsoul mechanic? That seems really underwhelming...
@@raptori It looks like it but actually it buffs about the same as Nobless oblige on atk scaller. It's a bit more universal not that you have anyone but hu tao that doesn't scale only on atk amongst the pyro. The buff has some pretty good uptime honestly, and chevy just doesn't have a lot of great options. The cinder city also doesn't require her to use her burst so that's a +.
@@jijidu69 Yeah makes sense! I've never bothered farming a set for her (2P HP 2P ER gave me a killer build outside of that with zero investment) but will def keep an eye out while farming for other people just in case!
10:40 Personally, I can't recommend Arlecchino. Not sure if my Chevy heals too much, but since her healing reduces her Bond of Life, it reduces the synergy. And yes, while Arlecchino can not be healed by Chevreuse, for some reason, her Bond of Life can still be "healed". Which is also why you can suddenly lose a lot of Bond of Life if your Arlecchino has less than 70% HP and you use Bennett. To this day, I can not understand this decision.
Yeah it's an odd one... I've avoided healing bonus on my Chevy so she works better with Arle, but good point that there's a bit of antisynergy there if you have 🤔
@@franklinfernandes5593 It'll happen at C0, since Chevy does healing over time to the active character on field. At C6 she'll have higher base healing because of the extra talent levels from the C3/C5 (I forget which), plus C6 gives extra team-wide healing, which would affect Arle's bond even if she's off-field at the moment it applies. Def depends on your Chevy though. I've played the two together a ton and literally never noticed it, since my Chevy doesn't do much healing!
@@raptori It depends also on the content. If there are enough enemies to mark, then your bond of life can be high enough. Still lose some damage through the healing because lower bond means lower damage, but this is probably equalized through the buff. However, if you fight solo enemies like bosses, it might happen that your Pyro infusion runs out before the skill can reset which effects your rotation.
@@Modie Yeah makes sense - I tend to prefer Overload against groups of enemies, and tend to switch to vape against bosses, so that might be why I hadn't noticed as much!

I did 70+ pulls on the Raiden/Yoimiya banner and didn't get her at all. Im not sure if i want to pull on this one cuz i don't want Kinich at all and i already have a C2R1 Raiden. I currently have 300 pulls saved up (welkin only) and im trying to get Xilonen, Mavuika and Arlecchino whenever she reruns.
Sad day for me today :( I wasted 95 wishes on chevy, and ruined my 50/50 guarantee on kinich. But at least i have c6 sara for a raiden i don't own and will never use 👍

These days I was personally on the fence for getting Kinich, and was convinced that I'd chance upon Chevy's C6 eventually, but seeing they put Chevy and Thoma, whose C6 I have been eyeing for over a year now, on Kinich's banner? It's enough to push me into pulling. Even if I don't get Kinich or I lose the 50/50, that single Chevy and 3 Thomas would be worth it for my ultra comfy Arlecchino overload team of Father-Beidou OR Thoma-Fischl-Chevreuse.

Welcome back, Chevreuse. I did snag a C0 Chevreuse in her first banner but I don't have many electro or pyro characters. Since Chevy's kit doesn't need much investment in terms of character levels, weapon, or artifacts, I will give her a try with Bennett, Beidou, and Yanfei against a boss. But if it doesn't feel great, that's more than OK by me. Instead of viewing this as a downside, I view it as a big relief: it's a segment of the roster I can generally ignore. I'm too casual to try every single playstyle.

She's one of those characters that you want at C0 or C6. Inetermdaite cons do nothing. So I'd only want to pull for her if I was going all in on the featured 5 star, and I've had Raiden C2 since her first banner....
Chevy is the only niche 4 star thats very much usable ans easy to build teams around

Chevreuse being Raiden-locked like Sara is so ASS and a bunt in the face to other characters that can utilize her support

I love Overload reactions. 1) I share Klee's love for explosions. It just feels satisfying! 2) In my very genshin noob days, I gained Lisa and Amber until about AR30... So it feels somewhat nostalgic.

finally someone can give a build guide and not spend 60% talking about DPS Chevy. I was able to C6 her without any really bad luck normally when I actually want a 4* it goes very bad and usually don't try. If she wasn't a unique character I would've skipped entirely. Really looking forward to trying her out
They NEED to update their 4* system, it’s ridiculous that it can be easier to get 5* cons than a c6 4* and having to wait potentially more than a year for a character to rerun is super frustrating.
I have been loving her especially recently in hypercarry raiden teams with bennett and sara. She feels like a direct upgrade to kazuha, at least when it comes to ease of use
Overload C6 Yanfei C3 Shogun was my main team for a few months just because of the kickback caused by the reaction! Just recently built chevy for this very same purpose too
Last time I got super unlucky and wasn't able to pull a single copy of her before I had to stop building pity. This time I dared to pull even though I don't want Kinich and got C1 in ~40 pulls. I'm so happy she finally came home after all these months. I've had all her materials and talent books farmed for month since I thought she'd rerun with Chlorinde.

@@FrozenFrost6866 I already have Raiden C1, and don't really want her to be more powerful, especially since it feels even more of a waste cause these days I usually just use EM Raiden in hyperbloom... plus I have a guarantee so it feels like it'd be a waste to spend it on her when there might be others I want coming out!

Unfortunately my pity for Kinich was 72 and I'm saving for Xilonen, so I only did one 10-pull and it was only C3736 Thoma. Guess my Chevy is staying C1 until next year unless I get her off-banner again? Anyway, my favorite overload team is Arle, Chevy, Fischl, Beidou. I've also found on my secondary account that she's an excellent option for hypercarry Raiden (the team was C2 Raiden, Benny, C0 Chevy, C6 Sara) and I reached my biggest record yet although the rotations are kinda strict and it's circle impact
try her with Instructor's if you want maximum team support utility. If you're playing her, you're playing overload. Extra EM for the team helps far more than burst damage from Nobless on her, put that on someone else like Bennett.
Plus with Bennett you probably don't care about team ER much, so you can still hit 40k HP on Chevy with an HP weapon and the weaker artifacts

i just got chevy on kinich banner and then stopped pulling. I had no interest in kinich and wanted chevy. got her in 40 pulls with 3 Thoma who is already c6. Time to build i guess

This banner is comprised from some of my fav 4 star supports in the game and I have no interest in the 5 stars so, I really dislike it when Hoyo does this to me 😅 They either put a rare 4 star they barely rerun in a dry patch, a "bad" character on a banner like Neuvilette's or some sort of way to get you to pull regardless. I am a fan of Xinyan for example, and I had to skip her after a few pulls cause I have C1 Kazuha and no need for a hypercarry.
I sort of wish they make her a regular on a Yoimiya or Arlecchino banner, just like Gorou for banners that are made of geo characters, Faruzan for anemo hyper carries. Kiki, I hope you'll get her eventually ^^

I had C2 Chevruse from previous Raiden banner and now I got 4 copies in 100 wishes on Ajaw banner
after getting 4 thomas and 2 Saras, and still not even one C0 Chevi, i gave up, fuck Genshins 4* system
C2 Arle, Chev, C2+ Dehya (Skill lvl 10), and Raiden (Millelith 3xEM) is a funny team, 70% damage reduction makes Capybara hit for mere 5k if you don't dodge, and you interrupt the special attack very easily :)
Made 100 wishes, my c0 Chevreuse is now c2 And I got a nice early Diluc to guarantee Xilonen, thats enough for this banner, I hope to see Chevreuse more frequently now

Hoyo is being real sneaky by rerunning both Kazuha and Chevreuse right before Xilonen, who... well, if you know, you know. I'm probably just going to try for C0 to fill the one missing slot in my 4-star roster. Her cons don't seem all that important until C6, and I don't have much need for Kinich or C4 Raiden.
c3 Chev here, all my other 4 stars are c6. I have many dps and supports, but want to pull for Chev and maybe Kinich for Natlan exploration, just don't like Ajaw or his voice at all, nor do I like Raiden as a character. This banner is rough for me..

I will just say her colorscheme is perfect in my eyes and nothing clashes. It could be that me or the people who think it looks bad have some sort of colorblindness. I'm quite sure I have no such thing as I've never failed one of the tests. I bet the same people hate Raidens color scheme as it's got the same one going on (just darker) and I couldn't disagree more
Yeah there's always the possibility that we all see colours differently! It's kinda an interesting one - it's possible that everyone's "favourite colour" is exactly the same in their head, and it's just triggered by a different wavelength of light for each person 👀

Yeah… as soon as the phase 2 of banners dropped i actually did pull in them because besides from having pity built up in all of them i genuenly wanted kinich, his weapon and Raiden’s weapon, the problem is, although i had 104 wishes and won three 5 stars, i didn’t even get a SINGLE chevreuse, hoping i would finally be able to unlock her, but the system decided to give countless copies of kujou sara, whom i have at C6 and then the banner gave me a MIKA, like what were the odds for mika to actually have more chances of appearing rather than chevy? Besides he is a 4 star i didn’t really want cuz i dont really use physical teams and i dont really like him character wise (perhaps for the EN voiceover) but still

i did 70 pulls on kinich's banner to get him and got no cons whatsoever for chevreuse, heck I actually got her from standard banner first.

Nah you'd need to rebuild her as an electro DPS for it to really work!
Raiden is the only character I've actually got two full builds for, since Cyno also is perfect with both of the builds, so they can just swap - this team is so fun that I've actually switched back from full EM Raiden for the first time in like a year now that I've tried it out!
EM raiden would bqasically mean the overloaded *reaction damage* would be a little stronger, but her raw damage would be so much lower it's likely not worth it :(

I was able to snag her at c0 this banner for my Arlecchino, and very excited to build her. Though if I may ask, for artifacts recommendation, would the new Natlan’s set work? Though Cheveruse can’t utilize all the set passive due to the night soul mechanics, she can still grant the team with 12% elemental bonus. Would a 4p set with full HP benefit her more than 2 pieces mismatching? And I love your video btw, you gain another sub ❤

Watched your last video, I’m a 4.6 starter, Ever since Furinas last banner, I feel like I’ve gotten crazy luck as a relatively new player. From Furina, Kaveh, Tighnari, and Jean, to Kachina and Kazuha, and even today Kinich, Thoma, sethos(weapons banner which I didn’t know you could get characters from there.) and Chevreuse. All with only using 30-50 pulls. God you guys had it horrible. I feel bad for the luck. Also anyone got build for Thoma? He gonna work with Kinich.

She isn't a bad user of the cinder city hero set. You can get her one while farming for Xilonen.
I've seen a bunch of people say this, but isn't the 4-piece only 12% damage boost if the character doesn't have a Nightsoul mechanic? That seems really underwhelming...
@@raptori It looks like it but actually it buffs about the same as Nobless oblige on atk scaller. It's a bit more universal not that you have anyone but hu tao that doesn't scale only on atk amongst the pyro.
The buff has some pretty good uptime honestly, and chevy just doesn't have a lot of great options. The cinder city also doesn't require her to use her burst so that's a +.
@@jijidu69 Yeah makes sense! I've never bothered farming a set for her (2P HP 2P ER gave me a killer build outside of that with zero investment) but will def keep an eye out while farming for other people just in case!

10:40 Personally, I can't recommend Arlecchino. Not sure if my Chevy heals too much, but since her healing reduces her Bond of Life, it reduces the synergy. And yes, while Arlecchino can not be healed by Chevreuse, for some reason, her Bond of Life can still be "healed". Which is also why you can suddenly lose a lot of Bond of Life if your Arlecchino has less than 70% HP and you use Bennett. To this day, I can not understand this decision.
Yeah it's an odd one... I've avoided healing bonus on my Chevy so she works better with Arle, but good point that there's a bit of antisynergy there if you have 🤔

@@franklinfernandes5593 It'll happen at C0, since Chevy does healing over time to the active character on field. At C6 she'll have higher base healing because of the extra talent levels from the C3/C5 (I forget which), plus C6 gives extra team-wide healing, which would affect Arle's bond even if she's off-field at the moment it applies.
Def depends on your Chevy though. I've played the two together a ton and literally never noticed it, since my Chevy doesn't do much healing!

It depends also on the content. If there are enough enemies to mark, then your bond of life can be high enough. Still lose some damage through the healing because lower bond means lower damage, but this is probably equalized through the buff. However, if you fight solo enemies like bosses, it might happen that your Pyro infusion runs out before the skill can reset which effects your rotation.
@@Modie Yeah makes sense - I tend to prefer Overload against groups of enemies, and tend to switch to vape against bosses, so that might be why I hadn't noticed as much!

Unfortunately not - for non-Natlan characters it only gives a 12% damage boost, rather than the 40% it gives if it's equipped on a Natlan character!
I mean, like, isn't 12% dmg bonus better than 20% atk bonus

I did 70+ pulls on the Raiden/Yoimiya banner and didn't get her at all. Im not sure if i want to pull on this one cuz i don't want Kinich at all and i already have a C2R1 Raiden. I currently have 300 pulls saved up (welkin only) and im trying to get Xilonen, Mavuika and Arlecchino whenever she reruns.
