    I was really considering this heat press. The 15 x 15 version. My concern was that it would be shipped with damages. It seems to me that should package it in a way that it will not be damaged. If I have to spend an additional $100 dollars for the pallet option, I may as well get the HPN.

    • @OnAgain
      @OnAgain  Год назад +4

      My press had a rough ride but it had no damages. The HPN press seems to be a nice press. It’s not as friendly with threading though. They do have a stand you can get with it separately for threading. I’ll be sure to pass that information to Heat Transfer Warehouse. I know they pay attention to all the comments. Thank you for the great comment.

    I like that heat press but does it give you any indication of when it reaches the desired temperature that you set it for?

    • @OnAgain

      The heat press does beep when you reach the set temp. It also will auto shutoff if you leave it running too long and walk away. That time is also programmable and makes a beep. I love the press. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

    How is the power draw from the V3? The website says 2500W (Amps?). Will it be ok on one outlet in an apartment? Are you plugged in a regular outlet/apt/or house and any safety problems? I could be wrong but isn't the average outlet can only handle 1500-2000w?

    • @OnAgain
      @OnAgain  Год назад +1

      You Stomped me with this question! LOL! I spoke with a rep at HTW and they stated that the Heat Press will operate well connected to a single outlet. Of course I would not connect the Heat Press to a power source (fuse) that is drawing power with a microwave, washer machine, and items drawing a lot of power. HOWEVER, I am not an electrician. I personally don't think that it's pulling THAT MUCH POWER. Again Im no electrician. I do have my heat press connected to a different fuse/circuit separate from everything else. I have not had any problems. For more information be sure to give Heat Transfer Warehouse a call directly. I hope that helps.

    • @filmingyu6623
      @filmingyu6623 Год назад

      @@OnAgain No worries brother and thank you! I found out that the circuit in the room is about 20 amps (looking at the breaker box, the switch says "20") and the 16x20 draws 2500 at 20.83 amps so it's really pushing the limit (unless HTW misspelled the wattage on it) because 20 amps is what most small rooms studio or room in an apt can handle. So I'm a little hesitant to purchase the 16x20 for a small room as it might trip the breaker all the time. Bummer as the Pro (and other competitors) version seems to draw less power around 1800-2000W! I wonder why the 16x20 V3 draws so much... I'm looking at the 15x15 V3 now... Is that pretty much the same design and threadable too?

  • @filmingyu6623
    @filmingyu6623 Год назад +1

    Thank for this! What are your thought now that you've had the V3 for a few months? Also, the V3 has interchangeableplatens right? I don't see them on their site to order separately... One more thing, I noticed the gas shocks on the back side of the press- does it have any residue like grease that might make the garments dirty when the drawer like a bigger shirt of hoodie when the drawer is all the way pushed in?

    • @OnAgain
      @OnAgain  Год назад

      Thanks for watching and very good questions! The v3 16x20 WALAPress is great! I really enjoy using it.
      It does have interchangeable platens. The interchangeable platens are linked in the description.
      www.heattransferwarehouse.com/walaplatens/?aff=20
      I have never had an issue with any residue like grease or grease getting on any of the garments, and I haven’t seen any. I know what you’re talking about but I haven’t had that issue with this press. It’s a well thought out press when it comes to handling large garment’s. I hope that answers your questions.

      @@OnAgain You're awesome thanks so much! I was concerned about durability and that the V3 has a shorter than average warranty coverage but HTW seems so support their products right? As for the extra platens, do you think I need the smallest 5x5 to print neck labels on tees/hoodies for best look of will the regular 16x20 work also?

    • @filmingyu6623
      @filmingyu6623 Год назад +1

      And/or do you use their hat press (teal color) to do neck labels? I see that they have a 15.75"x19.7" Tag Along platen- is that for pressing chest design and neck label with two separate transfer sheets at once time?

    • @OnAgain
      @OnAgain  Год назад

      @@filmingyu6623 They do support their products. However, it’s good that you’ve voice your opinion, because they pay attention. I will be sure to bring this up when I attend the WALAPalooza event. I honestly haven’t run into any issues with the press. You can use the 5x5, 4.75x17.75 or the 15x19 tag along. Either should work well.

    • @OnAgain
      @OnAgain  Год назад

      @@filmingyu6623 yes the tag along is designed to help speed the production process. I don’t use the hat press. I plan on grabbing one eventually.
      I don’t really make a lot of hats with vinyl. I have been outsourcing hats. That is also a great option for accomplishing neck tags.
