Very good video and easy to follow. Actually the best I have found! How well will hot glue hold the pony tail holder on? Just looks like it couldn't last more than a few wears. Is there a reason you don't put under the zip tie? Thank you for sharing.

Very difficult to see how you made the bow, a different colored ribbon would of been better
To save a step you can secure the hair tie with the zip tie.

You give good instructions, but just wanted to say you should use stiffer material for better quality.

What could i do instead of a knot and what can i use as a replacement for the zip tie
+Kailyn Merkel you can use some bowdabra bow wire. They are found online or at michaels, they are of good quality and they are dirt cheap
When you pick it you could glues it and instead of a knot you could just wrap some ribbon around it and glue it

it's 3 inch ribbon with 29 inch long ribbon. You can make the tails longer if you'd like and use 34 inch ribbon.

okay, so i want to make 17 of these for my team, so how long is one bow and how many inches total will i need. Because i have no clue how much ribbon to buy.

+Alanna Holt that actually works, i used to do that when i did middle school cheer, it helps just put a lot of hairspray and let it dry and it wount be as floppy, i used to do that all the time

+Alyvia Fletcher It's a shortened word for pony tail holder.
Please don't use zip ties. More plastic usage. Just use a needle and thread and sew, so easy. Much easier and quicker than a zip tie.

Yes it does, but good thing I have learned a lot about videography and lighting since I started making videos 4 years ago. Watch some of our newer videos to see the difference.

Videos like this are what makes everyone think they can make cheer bows. There are so many incorrect instructions in this video. This type of bow is okay if you're cheering in your front yard, but it's far from a real cheer bow.
