This video helped me when I was going to a party in a 5 star hotel for the first time in my life.
Which 5 star hotel? 🙄 None of us eat like that ... I'm a frequent visitor to star hotels due to my consulting job. (at a big company). I know these etiquettes and only go about it when I'm at other countries.

They will get a very nice lesson when they will get a very lovely chance of getting embarrassed in front of their Boss when they do dinner with him or at any place where these etiquettes are known as manner of eating.
Just sit on floor and start eating with hands can be our style. It definitely can never be called Manners of eating.
There is no competition between style and manners. We apply both in our daily life where which one is suitable.

People recommending hands should know that certain stiffer and longer foods especially steaks, asparagus etc need a knife. Using bare hands may cause spills, or will need extra strength.

Every eating manner differ from each other. We Indians eat with hands, Chinese Japanese and Korean people eat with chopsticks and Britishers and Americans use knife, fork and spoon. We should respect each others culture and should not comment rubbish. The people who are not interested to learn this things they shouldn't have opened the video.

It's not about their or our method. It's about convenience. It's more convenient to have steak with fork, pizza with hands and noodles with chopsticks. It depends on the kind of food you eat. And I don't suppose there is a damn need to teach people how to use their hands to eat.

Thats good mam. But I request you to show how to eat different Indian food like dosa, uttapam, rotis, etc by fork n knife/spoon. Bcz many Hotels dont gv knife. They gv spoon and fork. I prefer eating without fork n knife but sometimes I hv to use them. Thanks.
Dosai or breads shouldn't be eaten with cutlery simply because they aren't meant for it. I would feel you are doing injustice to our native food. Enjoying with our hands is the way to go.

Small restaurants don't do that. But if you ask for that, they'd provide it to you.

I am a righty and I do the same. I don't understand how people cut food with their non dominant hands. I can pick up the food with my left hand but I can't cut it.

I am Hind..i take food with rt hand some times my hand comes to mouth or mouth go to hand ...what in that ?!..😏i use spoon sometimes only for fassion infront of others in restaurants.🤭😀 😀
No one eats this way anymore. I have seen ppl eating with hands in big restaurants. This way of eating has vanished long back.
Well in that case you haven't even been to any big restaurants coz it is definitely not possible to eat noodles, pasta, pie, steak roast vegetables etc without any fork and spoon...
@@masakkali499 how can you say that? I have been and seen ppl though start eating food with fork and knife they subconsciously end up eating foods (excluding noodles, chowmein ) with hands. Because we are Indians not Brit or Americans.
95 % India is filled with south and north restaurants. Restaurants with Lebanese, Chinese or other country are only available in metro cities. So I don't think ppl use fork or knife in their daily routine. So for me it was useless to learn this Brit way of having food.

What are the Indian dining etiquettes? We honor food to the extent that we bow little down towards our morsel when eat... I think giving repect to your food is missing in British style of dining etiquettes.... I follow my Indian style while dining in any 5 / 7 * restaurant.... You become what you eat, respect food as much as your self respect!
Exactly. Though I appreciate people who teach these. But honestly, there's no need to induce this style in India, in any type of restuarant. Why would we change our style of eating when in India? Is not our own style of eating "mannerful" that we need fork and knife to follow "table manners"
