You probably were meaning this, but Blackie Lawless has said repeatedly (after the whole 80's edgy hair movement they started in) that W.A.S.P. wasn't an acronym for anything, just that it looked bolder with periods and capital letters. People assumed it meant stuff like "We Are Sexual Perverts" and they embraced that misconception for it's shock value back in the day, but now frontman Blackie has made it clear there was no meaning to it.
