Excellent review! This is definitely going to help a lot of new players. I remember how folks agonized between choosing Autoguns and Lasguns in the 1st Edition :D
A viewer requested it and I immediately started working on it, was a great topic and had me thinking about black market stuff while my settlement is expanding and might build one soon…
This is the kind of explanation I was looking for but had no idea how to search for
I'm very new to the game, just started a Delaque gang. This video is excellent and so helpful. Thank you! Liked and subscribed
Nice overview as usual:)
The only thing missing in the Ammo types discussion is the existence of the Bullet merchant hanger-on (from House of Iron), which is discounted to 25 creds for Orlock gangs, but otherwise available to all other Law-abiding gangs for 75 creds. Now this hanger-on is relevant for 2 special rules it brings: makes all ammo types Common for the gang and changes the Limited trait on ammos to Scarce (so once you bought the ammo type you don't risk losing it permanently when running out of Ammo, only for the rest of the battle).
Given the discount it is pretty much an auto-include for Orlock gangs, allowing you to use all kinds of cool ammo types, without worrying about the Limited trait: Executioner shells on all shotguns and Firestorm on Combat shotguns; speaking of Combat shotguns + non-limited Firestorm ammo: think of it as a Heavy flamer that is not Unwieldy for 100 creds; Goliaths and Orlocks can get Combat shotguns for 55-60 creds so even better for them.
Anyway, keep up the good work and cheers :)
Yup, making weapons lose the limited trait is absolutely fantastic, definitely makes some of the more expensive ammo types auto include
Fantastic. Very, very helpful. Thanks!
I'm confused, it's not the first time I see someone says "plentiful" is ammo check re-roll. According to House of Artifice book "plentiful" means ammo check on reload is passed automatically with no roll needed. So if you rolled 1 on ammo dice, you need to use reload action on the next turn and then reload is guaranteed to succeed.
Ah I said “take a Reload action” which sounded like Reroll action
@@crimson_oracle pfff nevermind my bad )
@@Ziforigin nah it totally sounds like reroll, I get mushmouth sometimes reading off a script lol
Hail all
Very helpful.
