Only thing I do not like is their dreads because it’s something our ancestors used to hide food when trying to escape to freedom . With French braids we would hide rice into the parts . Dreads are not JUST a hairstyle it was literally a way of survival for us . That’s the one thing I feel like this family does not understand when it comes to how important and disrespectful wearing dreads are to African Americans. Which is why I needed to inform them and anyone else who feels like dreads are okay . To me that’s like getting a tribal tattoo that you did not no way earn . There are history behind it and you can’t just do what you please because it looks “ cool “

My grandparents showered together until he passed. They would help clean each other as they aged, I always thought that was so beautiful . I now shower with my husband, it's when we're the most relaxed and we can talk and share. It's wonderful!

i do sometimes with my boyfriend, but honestly i do prefer to shower alone because i like the watter very hot and he likes it practically cold and that just is not a good combination for showering together.

Both my daughter and myself were born, raised & currently still living in the same old town of Chippewa Falls, Wi. For as long as I can remember I knew I was not meant to live this life complete receptivity day in and day out. I have dreamed of buying an RV or anything big on wheels that i could convert into mine and my daughters home and home school her as we travel and use our beautiful land as a learning tool. I didn't really have faith that this was something i could accomplish but watching you guys has taught me SOOO MUCH, but most importantly that IT IS POSSIBLE! I can break our chains and lead the life I thought was so far out of reach! I LOVE YOU THREE
