So basically a group of friends that loved Mario rpg created a mod called “Mario rpg world collide” the mod would include characters from paper Mario like Vivian and goombella but the project never saw the light of day. “Geno’s” lore Smithy put a chip in geno to take control of him when ever. So when he says “I’m not me/ I’m not geno” it’s probably smithy taking control of him. Hope this helps!

This takes place in a alternate-reality where Paper Mario Thousand Year Door and the original SMRPG's events took place at the same time (You'll see more on that later) and Smithy got ahold of Geno and put a chip in him that allows him to control him at anytime. Unlike his original counterpart, the Mario Mix version of Rephrase has NO religious ties whatsoever! It's just a fun-filled ride all the way through that takes place in Mario's world. :)

Seeing this video makes me imagine the Idea for Trippydillo AB/Rovio mix. I don't have the name for this Rephrase counterpart, but it's an alien that uses telepathic powers to make contact with humans. He took the appearance of Ice Bird from Angry Birds Space and has black alien eyes and turquoise (d side) color of ice/crystal. It speaks Finnish and for the trippy part 1:11, the song reference could be Blue Da Ba Dee or Shooting Stars.
I have a theory geno basically has identity issues with himself that he was driven insane but he is trying to find out who he is that he isolated himself and repeatedly said "IM NOT GENO"
