@@hilligans1 are you kidding me? My house's entire furniture including doors and windows were made with hand tools. Granted it was back in 90s but even professionals don't "need" power tools.
Was this sarcasm? A chisel set is 9 dollars. A hand jigsaw is 10 dollars. Idk how you expect to woodwork decently without a like, a table saw but I guess you could also use a smaller automated saw. Would just take a little longer and be less precise.
Metals degrade the wood over time due to its limited expansion capabilities. Wood, on the other hand, expands and contracts along with the rest of the wood. This is why many of Korean buildings are built using joined wood versus using metals to keep its shape.
I don't do carpentry or have any idea in the carpentry world, I saw this and it's so satisfying!

Furnitures (tables, chairs, beds, flooring) still using woods tho...
The little clap together at the start of each one gives me happy feelings I don’t fully understand lol. And the rise of the saw blade too
The saw blade rising looks spooky
As a beginner, I love how easy this is with my table saw that's lying around in my two thousand sq ft workshop that we all get on our 18th birthday

I kinda want to see a strength test for these joints
If I had those tools during high school I could have got easily an A+. Instead I had to be happy with just a hammer and a screwdriver
What's the measurement on the screw in a handle? Are there several? It's a neat scoring idea.
The screw is adjustable just screw in or out as needed if screw loosens use a dad of silicone adhesive place on screw threads and problem solved.
i thiught thise thibgs were called marking gauges

Ah yes all beginners get a table saw, jigs, specialized tools, chisels, etc. as a starter kit.
you only need a tablesaw and a homemade jointing jig to make the joint. A used tablesaw online is like $50.

Why are the Asians so advanced in this business? Is there any historical significance ?
