I tried to draw a moving person the other day and they got up and left so now they don’t have any legs 😳 this tip makes perfect sense and would’ve been handy a week ago 😂😂

LOL. Happens to me sometimes. I draw person A halfway, then B, then realise A has left.

Hi, Teoh 👋🏼. You have given some very good advice here. My favourite two are using heads, hands, feet as markers, and at a cafe avoiding painting people who are looking away from their tables since they will turn their heads towards the table to talk with the rest of their company.

    Great tip. Thanks.
Love how you simplify the images. Gives newbies permission to simplify as well.

Saw this tipp in another video of yours and adapted it. Since I am not so good with measuring (especially when I need to be quick), I start with the head and give the body a quick skeletton, before I continue with the hands and feets. Works even better for me :)

I am drawing with graphite so I can use less pressure for that

Thanks for you useful tips! In your first sketch you captured the age-range of the the 2 ladies so perfectly. Is this something you do subconsciously from experience, or are there certain “markers” to observe, when drawing? Thank you!

It's the little details that will give hints to the age, e.g. posture, wrinkles.
So if you want to differentiate the people you draw, you must have more visible differences in these areas.
