Specialists of GRIVAS-Ukraine have designed a whole new type of plant for producing CLC blocks.
We would like to bring to your attention the automatized plant for manufacturing foam concrete blocks and also aerated and polystyrene concretes.
The productivity of the plant is 300 cubic meters per day.
The complex for an automatic batching and preparing of foam concrete.
New systems for preparing foam concrete have been implemented into the plant. There is a split system for mixing a cement-sand mortar using high-speed mixers and further supplying into a unit for mixing mortar and foam at low speed. Preparing time by using the system is max. 5 min per one cubic meter.
A high-capacity foam generator, which consists of four high-capacity barrels (stems) of the foam generator and an automatic system for preparing a working solution of a foaming agent, significantly simplifies the process of preparing the working solution and fills the mixer for preparing foam concrete with foam in the shortest time.
Due to the complex, the foam concrete is produced super-fast, and its quality has been taken on a whole new level.
Mechanized trolleys in tandem with electromechanical pushers make such processes as transportation, curing, and supplying of molds from a pouring area to a curing area as simple as they could be.
A mechanized system for disassembling, cleaning, and transporting sides of molds for further usage.
A completely automated cutting system controlled with PLC produces 12 and more cubic meters per hour. If there is a need, the complex can produce tongue-and-groove blocks.
A palletizing and packaging area.
The area has been designed to provide a mechanized palletizing of blocks onto a transportation pallet at sufficient productivity.
Palletized blocks are supplied to a vertical strapping machine Strapex VSM300 by using an automatic chain conveyer GOLDPACK. Pallets with strapped blocks are transported to a platform wrapping machine for pallets and then transported to a warehouse to cure and gain the specified strength.

What do you need foam concrete for?

Dear Tsip,
Foam concrete is an eco-friendly construction material made of portland cement, sand, water, and a protein foaming agent (a substance based on a protein) foamed by using a foam generator to make a cellular structure of concrete mixture.
Cellular concrete has a wide range of applications and advantages. As it's a lightweight material, CLC is a good alternative for saving fill materials.
Foam concrete is used for roofing and floor decks, walls, partitions, and as a filler for geotechnical purposes.

Are you using only portland cement, sand, water, and foaming agent? I have seen other RUclips where they use fly ash or gypsum instead of sand. Are there advantages or disadvantages to using sand or it's just a good substitute of fly ash, for example. I would imagine fly ash or gypsum-based blocks will be lighter with smooth texture.

Dear Zakaria Farah, yes, you can add white cement, but it’s pretty expensive. For example, in Ukraine, its cost is three times higher compared to regular cement. Consequently, CLC blocks cost will be two times higher than autoclaved concrete blocks. The same is with pigments.

Для производства пенобетонных блоков плотностью 500-600 кг/м.куб используется пена плотностью 65-75 гр/литр.
