Now...you have plenty of beautiful Philodendron...Congratulations...Sean.
Thank you for sharing your great work....All the best wishes to you.
Thank youu 🙌🏽
I love your videos so much! 🥰 They have been my guilty pleasure for a while now. Your tips helped me save my very first gifted plowmanii that arrived almost dead!!! 🤭 Thank you so much for sharing and keep making amazing videos. ❤💕🤗
Whoaaa thats nice to hear 😀😀
Thank you for sharing beautiful and amazing plants collection lovely ❤❤
This plant is so beautiful, I will try this technique with my Mamei. Thanks Sean.
Wonderful! I enjoy so much watching your channel!
Thank youu ❤️❤️
J adore toutes ces vidéos avec ces précieux conseils et surtout les updates, très intéressant! Merci
Wow! Absolutely beautiful philodendron.
This video makes me soooo happy! Such gorgeous plants! Thank you!
😀😀
As always your vd's are so informative! Thank you so much for your time & knowledge sharing! 💜🌱
😀😀
You should get an award for the most consistent intro!
Haha thank youuu. Found a formula I liked and lazy to change it 🙈
Omgoodness,,awesome video...This was great!!
😀
Philodendron is beautiful leave,I love it and thank you for your sharing 👍
😀😀
Hi Sean. Your timing is always on point( its a lil scary...lol) I just rescued a small Mamei aff. She got new leafs coming out, but shes' all legs! I was pondering whether to chop and prop...now I know! Thanks. Be well!
Haha yayeee
That *nub*/ spiky point is actually where the flower comes out!
Sweet!!
Yees, if you take off the leaf, sometimes you can see the "gem" or the inflorescence still small because it did not developed. I noticed that these nubs appear when the leaf starts to come out from a cataphyll, is a sign of maturity. LOVE your content Sean, love love 🖤🖤🖤
1:52 The point on the leaf petiole is where the blooms come from.
Thank you ❤️
the sharp point on the stem is actually where the flower comes out. I have a mature mcdowell that just pushed out one flower this summer.
Sweet, someone else commented the same. Thanks for the share! Looking forward to flower on mine but first I need to stop propagating it lol
Wonderful plants 🪴
Like it
Have a good day
Thank you!!
😀😀
The double pot hack for crawlers is such a great idea to have an almost definite success with propagation! I plan to try this with my lynamii (lie-nom-E-I) so I can have more, that’s the one you couldn’t pronounce in your nursery tour videos😂 Also great for putting off a repot lol😅
Woooh That plant is on my wishlist lol
@@onlyplants I just got a Lynamii and I can't wait for it to give me a new pink leaf💕😍 They are stunning!!
Your pronunciation of the word isn't correct, either. Considering the word derives from Latin it's something like lee-nam-e-e.
Super envious of that Mcdowell, the only one I still don't have
I love this video thank you for being so authentic and for teaching us!
❤️❤️ you’re welcome
Nice video
Hey Sean,I was wondering if you could do an upload about the growing eyes on plants that you talk about,I've learnt so much from your channel 💜hayley New Zealand 🇳🇿
The growing eye on the petiole, people have commented that its where the flowers would appear. But the growing eye on the main stem is where a new plant can be propagated from
@@onlyplants thanks so much for that Sean.much appreciated 😁
Wow beautiful plants
Thanks a lot for this wonderful video! I will try this method with my Mamei! Hope I can recognize the nodes easily... May I ask you what kind of soil you use and your RH? I noticed my mamei doesn't like humidity less than 50%. Greetings from Italy!
Whats RH? Im assuming that means room humidity? Should be between 60-80%
For soil I its my “aroid potting mix”. If you type that in youtube search box my video should be the first one to show up 😀
@@onlyplants Thank you! yes, relative humidity. Searching that video now
The method is great, thank you for sharing, but can we talk for a second about that Cebu Blue? OMG! In one frame you had the leaf by your hand and it was the most gorgeous blue silver. How long did it take to grow that huge? Is that the same you called your pride and joy at some point? (I remember you showed it when it started fenestration) It's gorgeous :)
Yeahhh it was the top cutting from our cebu blue video its about 1 year maybe + 2-3 months from that video. Its super fast
Last question HEHEHE do alocasia love sunlight or indirect sun light? And what is the best in your opinion should i plant my gloriousum in pot or in the ground and where do you think my gloriousum plant will produce alot and faster leaves in pot or in the ground?
Gloriosums do very well in the ground and can get huge fast 😀 Alocasias usually like partial direct light but really depends on the species… some can even take full sun such as the macrorrhiza.
Sean .... I saw you had repotted one of the Props into the soil. I was always told to keep those above the soil. Does it matter?
If your soil is airy/chunky, and if you are confident that you can keep it lightly humid/moist without overwatering the cutting, then yes you can 😀 all of mine took
Hi shean, can you make a video talk about terrestrial philodendron variety?
I alredy have the video for the gloriosum and plowmanii each, in case you have not seen it
Hello i just wanted to ask if the normal golden pothos can transformed into giant pothos even the type of pothos i habe is golden pothos the normal one because my pothos already climbing up the wall and the erial roots are already hunng the wall and the pothos can have its fenstration?
Yes. All pothos are epipremnums and they can get huge split leaves when allowed to climb
Thanks for this instructional video, as always!
So if the plant loses its earlier leaves, and there’s an empty stump with no leaves at the back of the plant, if you chop that up to prop, will it affect the maturity of the new leaves coming in off the main parent plant? Or will that not affect the size of its future leaves? Hope my question makes sense!
It will only affect it if that section has lots of roots. The roots are supplying nutrients and water to the whole plant. Removing those roots for propagation will reduce supply. 😀
Pretty sure the node on the petiole is a flower growth point 🤔
Thank youu a few people said this hehe. I have yet to see any flower though
I m the same happens to me with those mosquitoes , as soon as I walk out they bite me and no one else. I have good blood 😆
They can actually see our faces… and choose only the best looking ones lol
@@onlyplants I agree 😃
💚💚
💚🌱
I envy you.
Your successful plant breeding is 99 percent
I try, but the probability of success is 50%...😭
I want to have your powers, too
Oooh in some of my videos the success rate was 10% haha. I dont always succeed 🥹
And i just wanted to ask when i should water my philodendron orlando? Do philodendron love full sun or indirect sunlight?
Usually bright indirect but some can handle partial to full sun, just introduce them to more light slowly and see how they react. More light means more water though! Some species of philodendron have different care then others, Sean has a ton of videos on specific species which have helped me so much
Thank you for this! 😀
Alina answered this very well. Bright indirect works on all philodendrons. Water when media is 90-100% dry
Thank you Sean for sharing this interesting propagation method.
Ok sorry last last question how many days before a monstera leaf big as your palm give you another leaf?
Quattrickkkkk
mine is around 2 weeks but it’s fsfr full sun full rain
Whoaaa didnt know monsteras can be in full sun
Depends on how established the root system is, how many leaves it currently has, and also your care quality. It could be 3 weeks to 3 months
@@onlyplants Yes it can, and the leaf is thicker. But here i got east sun mostly. (Jakarta). If you also got west direct sun better still cover it with 65%-75% paranet.
❤☘️
Do you notice a big difference when you used the charcoal and when you don't?
I haven’t. But theoretically it should help. Iodine and Hydrogen peroxide probably does an even better job.
I eill love to get a cutting from u do u have a shop or how i can purchase someting thank you
I will be purging plants for export in early June. Be on the lookout for that video 😀
Can I replace the activated charcoal with root up powder?
Yes you can 😀
Can i use fresh charcoal instead of active charcoal?
Im not sure… make sure its not the dusty charcoal that produce soot though.
@@onlyplants im planning to use the hard one
mcdowell is great.. until my mom said it looks like bok choy and now I cant get over that though lol
Haha your mom should see the philodendron martianum. Cuz that plant looks exactly like a bok choy. I get hungry when I look at it
Asik ada translate nya ..
Hehe kadang bisa auto translate nih by youtube
@@onlyplants oowh kirain semua video
I love how Kaylee Ellen can’t grow these.
Wooot Im sure she can 😀
@@onlyplants plowmanii she struggles with.
