- I couldn't find any reviews of the Bosch PTS 10 Table Saw in English when I was considering buying one, so I decided to make one myself. Check out the links below for specifications and prices.
UPDATE: User Tjoddleik has pointed out that the Styrofoam piece can be removed in one piece by tilting the blade.

Hello Nick, I'm a D.I.Y.er / home hobbiest and I have been in the market for a table saw for some time. I have had my eye on this particular Bosch model but was always unsure about finally commiting to it because as you have said, the lack of content and information availible about the Saw, There is lots about if your German, French, or Russian eve, but very little in English.
Until now that is, I want to thank you for taking the time to make and share the video, it has helped me out to the fullest extent, and I will be buying this Saw in the very near further. All because of your video. Thank you once again. I appreciated your recommendation of the Saw for someone like me. Take care. Trev
I am also considering this saw. Are you satisfied with it? Didn't the quality of cuts degrade after some time?
Thanks a lot for the video, it saved me lots of time. Bought it yesterday, now ready for tomorrow:)
The styrofoam under the saw motor can be removed in one piece by tilting the blade.
If you wiggled the motor a bit u would figure it
Thank you for this video :)!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing :)
thx, used this in my assembly
Hi thanks a lot for the video I couldn't have put it together properly without your video it saved me lots of time.
Hey Nick, nice video mate! Very informative. I'm hesitant between this one and the Einhell TE-CC 2025 UF, what do you think? Cheers!
Thx you! Perfect before i buy!
All in all it is definitely a better alternative to any Workzone or Einhell table saw
Hi, do you have any implements project for Bosch PTS 10 table saw in pdf ?
Heh, I don’t remember the styrofoam; maybe it’s still in there! I have had one of these for two years and like it extremely well except for the rip fence. I’ll try your technique of pulling it towards me while locking it down. I have not found any way to adjust it otherwise to make it stay parallel. I hope this works, as I’ve started looking at third-party fences to upgrade the saw with. They easily cost at least as much as this saw and would be fiddly to install on it.
Hi, thanks for this video it just the only one found to help the users,I have a concern I need to use a blade 254x30x3.2 mm does it fit with splitter because in the user manual i got confused, thanks
A tablesaw without a decent fence is thrown away money. The whole point is doing nice quick perfectly straight cuts.
It takes a bit more time to align the fence, but once its aligned its sturdy. I wouldn't say its a worthless fence, just takes more time to set up. You cannot get A++ stuff for C grade prices. Obviously they had to compromise somewhere, and I would rather have a flat table than a rock solid straight fence. A non-flat table cannot be fixed with patience.
How good is dust extraction?
Hey. I also live in Europe (Denmark) and i am looking for a tablesaw. Would you recommend it?
Nick Rowan Thanks mate. I will use it for DIY. Where I live there are not many secondhand saws, and the prices are not that much cheaper. So I think this will be the one.
Nope, I have the same one. It suck a lot, big fan of bosch in general, bit this saw is a joke. The table is not straight, the cover beside the blade is lower than the table and the cross cut table us higher than the table.
@@dragosfoto The crosscut sled and insert height are adjustable on PTS10.
Thanks, the manual is horrible, this helped a lot!
I got the same one, but never understand what the Yellow dot is good for`?
Rikard Johansen
According to the operating instructions to mark the width and position of the saw blade, as the blade can not be seen when the blade guard is fitted.
Rikard Johansen Hov, det kunne jeg have skrevet på dansk :-D :-D
The sliding table is useful in this machine?
When slid forward it can also help support large pieces.
After these years, are you satisfied with it? Do you recomend it? Is it precise?
Hi there! Unfortunately, I no longer have this saw. I did use it for a number of years without issue, including lots of fine furniture work. If you take your time setting the fence and make sure it's perfectly straight, it is more than capable of precision cuts. I'd recommend getting a third-party fence as your first upgrade, though.
@@nickrowan5911 Thanks for the answer! Cheers!
good review ... wonder how noisy it is? I am working in a cellar and people are living upstairs?
some ... help :-)) I guess I will try to "wrap it in a plywood box" :-)) Are you still happy for it?
I will soon find out :) I have just looked at one in a tool shop. There is a model they call “PTS 10 Upgrade”. Wonder what they mean. Is there a newer model on the market. Do you know?
Super, thanks
Oiiiii, just returned it to the shop. They sold me one that they have had in the window. Plugged it in when I came home and it screamed like a wild pig without any wood going through *lol
haha ... if you can it would be interesting if you could measure the noise of yours... some App perhaps?
After 1.5 years using this for my serious fine woodworking hobby, I do not recommend it. It’s a great value for basic worked however. The issues are: extensions are weak so flex a bit down or back to front in use. This means your cuts will not be square, especially with thick or heavy material. The sliding table is not level withe the Marin table. Thus errors in vertical square cuts. The saw blade incsert is not level with the main table. Meaning for small pieces squareness is difficult to achieve. Next, indeed, the fence does not automatically land at parallel to the blade. This means yo have to fine tune after every change. Lastly, the dust collection does not work well at all. I put a panel under the saw, with an extra vacuum hose to the front right corner.
I also own this table saw and bought it before I really got into woodworking as I needed something to rip down large or long boards mostly for garden projects so it was fine but now I am finding it has quite a few issues like those you and others have mentioned.
I’ve always had the “a bad workman blames his tools” mantra in my head but I think in this case it really is that the tool itself isn’t very good without some significant adjustment or aftermarket upgrades.
Thank you for video. It will save me a lot of money by skipping this saw. Repeatability is main parameter in table saw even for hobbyist and if I can't rely on gauges on saw and need to realign it all the time to get parallel cuts I can do with circular saw with guides as well. I think I will look at Dewalt offerings or build my own saw table..
I don't get what he's talking about with the fence, the fence on my PTS 10 is very accurate, it's off by .1mm at most and can be adjusted accurately with the scale on the table. I did take my time to calibrate the pointer on the fence with calipers, so that the width of the cut is exactly what the fence is set to on the scale. If you pull the fence towards you as you lock it, it will lock perfectly parallel to the saw blade.
It's possible that my saw is a revised version or something of course.
Håkon T. Please, make some tutorial :)
Oh, I’ll have to try that, pulling the fence towards me while locking it. The fence is the one thing I dislike about this saw. Apart from that, it. Is an excellent choice for an amateur woodworker and DIY person such as me. It’s compact and relatively light, so I can get it out of the way in the garage when I’m not using it.
