Good saw which can produce some really good results (Ive been using it for 3 years now). But its not without its flaws: - Fence does not always lock parallell to the blade (this is the saws biggest flaw) - Non transparent Blade guard inhibits view of the cut - Its not possible to tip the blade guard out of the way for measurements etc - Splitter extends above the blade so dadoes, grooves etc are not possible to cut without removal of the splitter altogether. (I cut and modified mine to make it work) - Dust collection only catches about 1/4 of all the dust. A lot is spilled out through the front of the saw (as can bee seen in the video clip above). Most is spit out down below the saw. If the bottom plastic guard is in place, this dust will fill up and glog up the saw. (I removed the bottom plastic guard on my saw) - The crosscut sled is has about 1 degree of slack in the track - Blade height adjustment is heavy Over the last couple of years ive learned how to make the saw behave properly and now its producing constant clean straight cuts. But it took a lot of setup, fidling and modifications of the saw to get there.
+Håkon K Totally agree. - The fence has a problem on the right side where the table top ends (in 20cm area) . You can use the extension which overlaps that section but it is not so accurate. I usually use the other side and I also have an axillary table with a big fence for wider cuts. -The blade guard has all those problems. I was thinking of cutting it and use it as a Riving knife but I don't want to destroy it (maybe I should do it). -I have mounted it in a topless cabinet so the dust ends up there (I removed the guard too). -As for the sled, I don't think the problem is in the rail (which is parallel to the blade) but on the miter gauge adjustment. When i use a square guide to adjust, I have almost perfect 90 degree cuts.
I personally do not like it. It's wobbely, uncomfortable to adjust (blade angle and fence). But what I hate the most is that it tries to have all the cool features of "big" tablesaw like the sliding table, but that makes it even more toy like. Bosch is known for making good quality power tools and if they would have made this saw just with a smooth, one piece steel or alluminum table top and just a simple mitre slot that would be a much more serious tool.
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
I have been watching many videos on table saw, but I have not seen one that shows how to cut a 2x4x8 in half. Is this something a table saw cannot do? Excuse my ignorance. If I knew I would not be asking.
That is true but does not make it any better. I have some green bosch tools and must say that they do fulfill all expectations of a hobbyist, except for this one.

You can split the blade guard in half and get rid of the pin inside. The pin limits the movement of the blade guard way too much.

It's well known that green bosch tools aren't the sturdiest ones. The blue ones are and they are in different class and the price is too.

Слишком много пластика - отсюда и качество.

This thing is a toy. Forget about precision. Don't buy it. I have made that mistake few years back so you don't have to...
