Hi. It reproduces a 3000 Hz test sound around 3032 Hz. There is better than this, but in this case it is more than good. The device was unusable with the old roller.
@@retrodeck1956 I hope i can repair mine i have new belts that i will be replacing but i am also looking for a right side VU meter, the one on it right now the face is cracked and missing a small piece. But my main concern right now is that guide putting pressure on the pinch roller and stopping the motor from turning and that is not good.
Hello. And thank you. So the device works perfectly, although I made such a roller twice. The first one didn't work. I also tested it with a submersible cassette. His voice is absolutely fine.
@@retrodeck1956 Both my rollers on my Akai GXC 740D were hard and cracking so i sent them out to get new rubber. But i have a problem with the left tape guide, I was putting pressure on the old pinch roller and is doing the same on the new one. Does the left guide (b) part #26 on the parts list supposed to have a clearance from the surface of the pinch roller? I see that it has a nut that can be loosened. Any ideas? Thank you
Great video! Thank you for your effort! We all are looking forward to new episodes!

Did you messure the Wow&Flutter parameter with the "new" roller?

Bardzo ładnie.Pozdrawiam.
Thank you very much.
Nice work on that roller! Maybe a finer grit would also lead to a better finish; I dunno? Nevertheless, well done!!!

I'll take the device out at the weekend and check it out. See if I can help.
@@SDsailor7 I looked at the parts list, but I think the one on the left is number 25. You say that the tape guide number 25 touches the roller.
