Couldn't agree more - In his various videos on here, this guy has managed to talk more sense in less time than most and teach some great fundamental ideas that guitarists of practically all styles and levels can benefit from. I'm not knocking anyone else's approach on here - I say hats off to anyone for taking the time to try and teach anything through this great medium - but this guy has a gift for clear concise explanation backed up by solid experience. So it's five stars from me - thanks!!!
One of the clearest demos I've seen. Superb!
I feel like its a 50's tutorial, and like it as such.
This was the best information that I've found on the net about guitar tone.
thanks for helpful tips to getting the right sound which is so vital for all musicians.I like the idea of starting soft and moving up to the desired volume.
I've never heard Freddie Green play a rhythm like this instructor on the acoustic guitar at the start of this video: Chunk Chunk Chunk Chunk-a-Chunk. That Chunk-a-Chunk is reminiscent of Django's rhythm guitarists. Freddie played clean, clear straight quarter notes.
Very cool video. Although I feel that many of the recommendations are obviously by no means the definitive methods, this video does provide a lot of valuable information that is not discussed in many other videos. Props for discussing the minute details regarding performance that otherwise, players can only learn through years of experience.
This guy is a genius
Very nice. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. A lot of people haven't a clue how to get that "just right" sound for a jazz guitar. It's nice to know I'm doing something right.
Excellent teaching and the info is spot on.

Haha. If you were going to use phasers or flanges or choruses I don't know why you're trying to learn jazz. Great tips! The volume stuff is so logical it blows my mind.
Lol this guy is so funny when he talked about young guitarist putting their amps in front off them and destroying the whole performance I had a flash back to when I did that
thx a lot it really helped me !!!! and also very professional !!!
