Toyota FJ40 Rock Crawler Build and Walk Around

- I created this walk around video of my 1973 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I start by showing the exterior with ARB locker, trussed FJ60 front axle, RCV front axle shafts, Trail Gear Six Shooter Knuckles, ruff stuff outboarding kit, and Front Disc Conversion.
The front bumper is by 4-Plus Products with a Warn VR-10 winch, KC HID driving lights, and LED headlights. Under the chassis are the white knuckle rock sliders, iron pig skid plate, orion transfer case, ruff stuff anti wrap bar. The FJ60 rear axle has ARB locker. The rear tire and ice chest carrier is made by 4-Plus Products.
Interior has the Metal-Tech Family cage, Mastercraft Baja RS seats, JL Audio bluetooth to Alpine amp and 6 inch 3 way speakers mounted in crawl tunes cans.
The engine bay has a Toyota 2F engine with Holley Sniper efi and aftermarket header. The cooling system is an aluminum radiator with spal electric fan. Mounted in the engine bay is the Extreme Aire 3/4 hp air compressor running to the arb air manifold. It does have a new Optima battery.

I have 1984 LC Fj40 I want 37 inches tyre too but I want to see far look in this tyre or 40 will b better and let me know about Gear axcel ratio
This FJ40 had 4.10 gears in the axles. It had a 4 speed transmission without overdrive and wanted to drive it on the road so I kept the axle gears stock.
Do you have any soa conversion pics? how much did you rotate the housing? i’m planning on building up a early landcruiser very similar to yours
Yes, but they are throughout my phone. I'll create a build page on my website of the FJ40. I did the most the works, except transfercase and transmission rebuild
we have a 1977 fj40 complete body. freshly painted if your buddy is interested ohhh and its freedom red factory toyota

What’s the wheel backspacing?
I’m swapping fj62 axle and want to avoid caliper rub.
These are the widest or least back spacing I could find. 2.5” backspacing. This FJ has the FJ6 disc conversion in front. Backspacing shouldn’t be the issue, but the original 15” fj40 steelies wheels with rivots will hit the caliper. New repopped OG wheel, other 15”-17” wheels should fit no problem. What is your wheel/tire setup going to be?
Deciding between 35-38” and 17” wheels. I haven’t trim the tub yet.

You know that grass area, close to Barrelhouse? I have a shop in those buildings. Yea it sold over the summer.
Does it work ? Leaf spring for rock crawling ?
Yea it works really well. The stock FJ60 being sprung over makes for a soft spring in the rocks.
Can you list your startup settings?
Are you wanting parameters out of the Sniper? Like target AFR, etc? Do you have a sniper on a 2F engine having issues?
