Pilates Reformer 60 Minutes - G (Glutes) T (Triceps) C (Core) - Endurance Strength

  • Props: Pilates Ring, Reformer Box, Yoga Block (*all optional)
    Focus: Core, Gluteus Medius, Triceps
    Difficulty Rating: 3 (intermediate-advanced)
    Duration: 60 Minutes
    Machine Set-Up at START:
    - 1Y (extra light) spring ON
    - Headrest DOWN
    - Footbar in normal 1st position
    - Yoga Block on headrest (*optional)
    - Reformer Box on floor at front (*optional)
    - Pilates Ring on Reformer Box (*optional)
    This 60 minute Reformer workout will challenge your glutes and triceps through endurance strength!
    You will get a full body workout from this flow with extra emphasis on the gluteus medius (side booty), triceps and deep core.
    We start with a sequence on your Reformer Box that will remain on the floor at the front of your machine. The box is not 100% necessary as the whole sequence can easily be achieved on the floor as well and I speak to that during the sequence. You will use the Pilates Ring only during the opening sequence so the ring is also optional as a multitude of other props could easily be used as well.
    After our opening we move onto the Reformer with a plank sequence and then start digging into the glutes with some side-lying work using your straps! The yoga block will be an optional prop that I suggest for your head support when we are side-lying.
    We will be toggling between one extra-light spring and one heavy spring during the workout. If you do not have an extra-light spring I speak to the usage of one light spring as well. Don’t worry!
    Get ready to torch the glutes & triceps with lots of compound movement sequences!
    I give this workout a difficulty rating of 4 (intermediate-advanced) due to the stamina and endurance strength necessary to get through the compound movements and reps. Remember, this is a video so you can always pause the video if you need a quick breather!

    That was a great and difficult workout! It had a really nice flow. The exercises on the box while holding the magic circle were quite a balance challenge! Your cuing is very helpful, especially as my muscles start to fatigue and you remind us not to use momentum. Thank you for all the planning you put into to the workouts!

My goal, since I cannot be in the studio with you, is to get you to connect and stay motivated as you go through the hour + with me! Yes, that was a real balance challenge for me too!!

      Yes, this one is deceiving! Moves aren't complicated, but boy does that endurance become the focus!! I am so glad you powered through!! and just like anything, the more you do it, the deeper you get!

    Honestly this class only needs to be 50-60mins tops! You talk entirely too much and go too slow. The only reason I didn’t turn this off is because I had already worked out one side and needed the other side. You don’t have to explain every exercise for 5 mins.
